Best model from Metal Earth's ship series, amazing detail for such a small model, but is also very challenging and not suitable for beginners, some modeling skills are required, if you have experience with paper/card models and/or photoetched metal parts for plastic models you won't have any problem with this model.Looks much better than on pictures when completed, nice and shiny with very fine details.Shaping the hull and securing pins on the tiny cranes are the most challenging parts of this model, best to look at Metal Earth web page for more pictures and a 360degree view that can guide you with building of the model or just look at it if you are undecided to purchase.Instructions are clearand easy to understand and the metal sheets also feature spares for some of the most fragile parts, the cranes for example.Finished model is 5 1/2 inches / 14cm long, its not a precise scaled model, but still looks amazing when build, it doesn't even say anywhere what scale it is.No need for glue, solder or paint and I assembled it in just one afternoon, so its not at all time consumingYou still need a lot of patience, steady hands and good tools:-Micro needle nose pliers or micro flat nose (I used Leatheman Squirt PS4)-Straight and/or curved tweezers-Mini flat screwdriver (its better than using fingernails to bend the pins)-Micro side/flush cutters (some parts need to be cut out from the sheet to prevent warping or damage to the parts)

Items recieved quickly and seller helpfull... I opened the pack and took out the metal sheets and started to take all the parts off the template, laying them all out in front of me on a nice clean flat surface. Some bits were not as easy to get out as others but after minimal fuss, they were all there and ready to assemble. Then came the tricky part... putting it all together.ASSEMBLY: The instructions are a bit odd to be honest and the best way to see how it's supposed to be is to enlarge the picture of it (on the web site) and see how it's done. I lost count of how many times I dropped bits when trying to slot them in but that's really just because you can't see as the metal is shiny and so are the little lugs you slot through. Some parts bend easily so you need to be carefull when bending the lugs to fasten the parts so you need long nose pliers and a mini screwdriver!CONCLUSION: Brilliant this model is for the price. If only with they was an option for double the size because I have big fingers :-) Overall the model looks great, so a larger one in more detail would be even better.

I am ordering all my ME models here now. Fast delivery & fair price. I loved the Star Wars collection. Model T is good. Photos don't do Titanic justice. Looks great now complete. I used wire for the aerial - didn't love the final part. Interesting build. Care needed as always - takes about 6-8 hrs to do the 'perfect' accurate build. Now addicted to these models. Good pair of square nosed modelling pliars are very useful. I'd love QE2, C3PO in gold or similar. Must go - Golden Hind to build.

Very well made. First one I have ever made. I like making models, this one is very intricate, loads of tiny pieces. You MUST have correct tools, tweezers, long nosed pliers and small side cutters to cut pieces from metal sheet. Patience is a must or like me, lost my temper a few times when bending a small piece of metal into a cylinder shape ! lol . All in a very good kit. I'll be buying more now as my partner say's it keeps me quiet for a while lol

Bought one of these for my Dad and then saw this so thought I'd have a go. It is a little fiddly so better to be equipped with tweezers and small pliers but overall am happy with the outcome. It really is quite fascinating how all the bits are cut and join together and its if a good weight. Well packaged and arrived quite promptly. Wouldn't hesitate to buy again as they do a lot of other models.

Do not contruct the full hull first as it then becomes very acquired to fix the decking, otherwise, like the others i have done, enjoyable and good.

It takes ages to build, but once you're done it is beautiful to see what you can do with small little things.
