This was my first model and I have never had any experience on building something like this.At first I found it quite hard but half way through the process it was becoming easier and easier. One thing I didn't do when I started the head of the AT-AT (the first thing you make with this model) was to remove the little pieces that stay connected to the part/s when you snap them out of the metal sheet.Make sure you remove this bits because they cause problems when you try to connect the part/s to the model. It creates gaps on the structure in places where you should not have it.And you will definitely need some tools, I purchased the following ones and would recommend them to anyone planning to build one of these models: Cutting Plier,Mini Long Nose Plier and Mini Extra Long Nose Plier.Bear in mind that you will hurt your fingers with little cuts, the metal parts are sharp and you cannot avoid being cut.I completed the model in 3 nights and, overall, it took me about 5 hours to finish it.For my first model, I must that is not perfect but you cannot "see" the mistakes if you haven't done it, my partner thought it was great and couldn't notice the mistakes I did. So, the final result was great considering it was my first attempt!Would I recommend it?I would to someone that has a lot of patience as you cannot rush with this thing otherwise you are going to break it.If you are not in a hurry to see the result then, it is for you.

Of the 7 metal earth models I've made this is by far the best and looks really good.Little tip, with any circular part I've found the best way is to bend and shape them over the non cutting end of a drill bit a match up the size based on what its going to attach to, then just bend the bit around until you can join then ends, then once joined just bend it around a bit more and it becomes an almost perfect cylinder.

Great product and so fun to have displayed. My only word of warning is patience. This isn't like a clip together model plane, it is very time consuming and it requires delicate work in places so my advice would be to take you time and use the correct tools and you will get the model to look brilliant, I have seen some ones that have been rushed together and they do not look nearly as good.

I thought this one would be a nightmare but it was way easier than the TIE Fighter IMO, the head and body are only made of a few pieces, the only trickyish) parts were the legs but they are all the same and not that hard, if the legs are a bit loose put some super glue on top of the base you connect to because it will be covered anyway and it tightens them up, looks really good when done

These are absolutely superb models. They require patience and a decent set of precision tools doesn't go amiss. If you think of them as papercraft with metal you'll get the general idea. Such a wide range of models in the range too from real world buildings to Halo Warthogs. If you can build the At-At without himming the Imperial march then you're a better person than me :)

Another user said it was more fragile than others and i have to agree. The head crumpled, but nothing some superglue couldn't solve! Also a little more tighter fit on the body to base which was tricky. I love doing these things and this was a good valentines gift (completed) for my boyfriends nerd shelf :)

Isn't the easiest to put together but does look awsome when complete, you have to be patient as parts can break if not careful, I had to use tools to put it together I don't know how you can't.You can't be heavy handed as it take time and patients, but it does look so cool.

Lovely little kit to build. Only my second build and only snaped one tab. Remember that tabs can be either bent at right angles or twisted. Make sure you keep a note via the instructions as to the best way. And always check, check ,check then bend.

This was my first Metal Earth to assemble, and despite substandard tools, I was able to cobble it together with some level of success. You need to take your time and be careful with it, but the results are great. It makes an awesome desk ornament.

This is a great build,( my third Star Wars one. )The shaping of the main body is a bit tricky, and you need to take time with it,But the end result is Fantastic.Unfortunately it looks like I now will have to build the full setWhat a shame!!

Yes it's small but it looks awesome on the shelf. Occupied my boyfriend for an afternoon, it is fiddley and he did break one bit but was solved with a bit of tape. All in all, a very cool model.

Really fantastic model, you need a good light, a magnifier, tweasers and a steady hand, but really well made and a great rewarding model kit. Airfix on steriods! Purchased 3 of them already!

Did this 4 beers deep with my 13 year old nephew. Really enjoyed it. The feed bases were tricky and needed a re-jig. looks really good.
