Bought this Faithful 'barn style' to store assorted awkward tools; at 19ins, it's long enough to accept my 1/2in drive socket breaker bar. And the price is not too steep.As noted by other reviewers, the insert tray is made of flimsy plastic unsuitable to hold anything of substance, and even the steel carcase seems only half the thickness of my ancient CK cantilever toolbox!But the handle fixing seems strong enough, and I guess it's fine for those who plan to keep their tools at home. For mobile usage I'd go for something stronger -- perhaps a heavyweight steel ammunition box.

My wife got me this, to replace a previous toolbox. I love the shiny red old fashioned metal 'barn' shaped design. And it holds most of my small hand tools and associated bits and bobs. It would be even better if it had an insert with a few compartments in it, so as to subdivide stuff; sometimes I find I have to half-empty it to find what I'm after. But it's solidly constructed, and - at under £15 (at the time of posting) - good value for money.

Brought this tool box to keep some car tools in it wasn’t expecting much but I’m overjoyed with it so much in fact I’ve just ordered another one for my son.... the tool box is made out of metal unlike most of them which are plastic it’s a solid piece of kit nicely finished off in bright red nice comfortable handle again metal I surprised myself with how much I got in it... hammer, full socket set loose spanner’s and still not full.

The length and hieght are good but the depth is narrower than I expected. In one respect this was good as it forced me to sort out my tools and get rid of those odds and ends that you collect in your box. One part that I do worry about is the latch, there is only a single latch in the centre and I'm wondering how long it wiil last. So far it's taken the wieght. Overall I'm happy with the box.

My beautiful, bright red toolbox has just arrived. Really impressed. Very well made, with a good clasp. A sturdy tray inside, which I'll probably use for something else - because this box takes all my silicone tubes plus the silicone gun, perfectly! Hah! Take that, mice! No more will you be able to trash my glue tubes and leave them to dry out and be wasted!

I bought 8 of these for storing different tools and not getting them mixed up (mobile welding business) and I wish I bought 80 !!! What a fantastic price! The build quality is very impressive too and these will last year's of abuse! They came very well packaged and are strong enough to hold up to 10kg of tools . Would definitely recommend

I love it! Exactly as in the pictures and hasn't failed me yet! I use it to hold all of my teaching resources and tell the children to go and get my tool box... Makes life easier when you forget something as they grab it for you and it stands out... It has been dropped etc and had a beating... Not broken , works fine.. would reccomend

It is small, it has a plastic tray inside to divide the inner storage. It's great for a little box of essentials, I bought it for my partner to use for work and when it arrived I thought it would be too small, but he likes it for a few small essentials, not much use for any long or very large items but a little handy work mate

I wanted to keep some essential tools handy for day to day jobs. This box is sturdy and roomy and just what I needed. It's a manageable size to carry and fits several brushes, screwdrivers hammer and small nail boxes etc. it's neat and tidy and stops me creating a Pandora's box in a kitchen drawer. Great.

Mild steel construction in a resilient paint. Bought specifically for my electrric grinder and its associated discs and handle. The lid fits lines up correctyly with the box; hinges are good. I spent a lot of time looking for a suitable 16 inch long tool box and this represents excellent value for money.

My daughter who is an Art student needed a toolbox for college,we found this on amazon and it is perfect :)Great size and study clip to secure it, there is also room for a small lock so if it needs to be left in college, the contents are secure. Very happy with this tool box and it looks fantastic.

Bought for my niece, but wanted to keep it, it is beautiful.i would buy this for nearly anyone and expect them to be happy. Niece filled it with paints and art things immediately and is using it lots. I took away one star becuase it doesn’t have a tray (the medium size, the bigger one may do)

Stored Makita battery charger and spare batterries together with box sets of drillsOverall sturdiness no more than ok,same to fitting a padlockI gave 4 star rating because it freed up much needed space in my tool bagsAt least now i have ready access to said items when needed.

This tidy toolbox made of solid metal and a nice red finish is perfect for holding a good amount of tools. There is no key but if you accept that then it's perfect for storing your most often used implements and it looks really smart.At about £10 it's a bargain too!

Was perfect for my needs. Well made and sturdy enough for light to moderate usage. A tray would have been handy. But the box looks nice and you can get a surprising amount in it. Looks good enough to keep in the house for those DIY jobs that crop up from time to time.
