Very disappointed with the poor quality of this product. I'd like to support local manufacturers whenever possible, but I would not buy another one of these umbrellas.Very flimsy, thin materials used for the cover: If you walk under a hedge or low tree it will tear very quickly. I am replacing an umbrella of a dome design which has a cover that is at least twice the thickness, and which has lasted 7 years before the canopy started tearing. I don't expect the Soake to last half that time. I walk a lot in rainy weather and this would be ok only for an occasional emergency, or in urban areas.It is lightweight, but what good is a lightweight umbrella if it doesn't last? The spokes seem well made,

I love my new wee birdcage umbrella, but the little spokes do come out of the caps and you have to put them back in and then you're good to go. I did use it in wild Ireland wind and rain weather yesterday and I did think "oh god, it's gonna go!", but it held out and kept me dry. I walk/train to work, so I do have to carry it - that is probably the only downside so far. I'm going to try and strap it to my bag though.UPDATE - dat after I wrote this review it's in the bin. One gust of wind this morning pulled folded it inside out and ripped all the spokes out of the caps holding the plastic on, rubbish. Not even going to bother putting it back together,
