I suffer from psoriasis & have tried every lotion & potion going over the last 40 years + prescription meds too. Due to a heavy bout of chemo (& stress) my psoriasis flared up & pretty much covered my whole body! Nothing has managed to clear/manage it part from natural sunlight in small doses, which does not happen much here. Decided to do some research myself & come up with using Exorex, coal tar based lotion, prescribed by my doctor, which I applied twice a day. My routine was a bath using Eucerin shower & bath therapy, which is a light oil that lathers when wet, followed by applying Exorex, letting it dry for a least 20 mins then apply Eucerin extra dry skin extensive 10% urea lotion.I would apply another dose of Exorex during the day/evening depending on when I had my bath. This combination has cleared my very red & inflamed psoriasis completely. Exorex can stain your clothes & towels, I use old ones, I wait to it has completely dried before getting dressed so it does not stain, which it never has. I can only express that this worked for me. I discussed using Exorex with my doctor who then prescribed it for me. I am also prescribed doublebase gel (isopropyl mysristate 15% w/w liquid 15% w/w) which is very good too. It can be used as a shower/bath cleanser & moisturiser. I do not know whether u can get Eucerin on prescription, I have not tried yet. I also use Dermo Capillaire calming shampoo & Dermo Capillaire calming urea scalp leave in treatment, Which has completely cured my itchy/flaky scalp. These products can be expensive but you do not need to use large amounts so they last quite a while, also on the plus side your kids/partner won't be nicking them! These products have truly made a huge difference to my life, as anyone would know suffering from psoriasis . A foot note, at first the Exorex seemed to make my psoriasis red/slightly tingly but not sore or painful after two weeks using Exorex & Eucerin products it cleared.

A: Kp stands for Keratosis Pilarus and is a skin condition where an over production of Keratin in the skin clogs pores and hair folicle thus a plug forms and a pump occurs on surface of the skin. The overall appearance is lots of little bumps which can appear pink, brown or black ( depending on your skin colour). It is not dangerous but can be psychologically stressful for some people. I have extensive KP my dermatologist advised me to use Eucerin with 10% Urea and I used this in conjunction with Amlactin with 12% Alpha Hydroxy Acid ( both twice/day). Eucerin is good for hydrating the skin (as KP gets worse if skin is dry; but it also debrides the bumps gradually.The Amlactin also debrides the bumps and also hydrates the skin). After a month of this It made each kp spot reduce in size and the bumpy feel completely flat and smooth. Some areas cleared completely but my kp is very stubborn and even though all areas are smooth you can still see the brown/black spot. I changed to a cream with higher acid content but still carry on using Eucerin alongside this. This cream has cleared it even more but I still can see brown/black spot marks in many areas BUT this is the best my skin has ever been with the KP. The cream I use now alongside Eucerin is Glytone with 17.5% free glycolic acid (be careful with it and use it only on areas with kp); I also wear disposable latex free gloves on my hands when I apply these creams. Give it a rest for a while if skin becomes too sensitive and always use a high Factor Sun Block on areas you use it ( yes I use 3 creams on my kp areas twice a day to keep it under control as best as I can).

I have previously written a review on this lotion extolling the virtues of it. This has been an absolute godsend for my eczema. I have been suffering with hand dermatitis for 16 years , and working for the NHS does not help due to the excessive hand washing. My hands were perpetually blistered cracked and itchy, but since using this I have not itched for a long while and my hands now have a smooth barrier of skin and pigment is slowly returning as I have not used steroids for sometime now and hope never to use them again. Buy the way I have tried a few other brands of cream before this, E45, Diprobase, Aqueus cream, Aveeno, Demalex and so on but this is the best.This lotion is not cheap but Amazon was a little cheaper than most,but it is worth it as it has reduced my suffering almost completely. I say almost as long as I continue using it, otherwise everything flares up again.Some people do not like the smell of it. I do not think it smells too bad, anyway it is a small price to pay to keep these nice soft hands.

I’ve only been using this for a few days & hope I’m not speaking too soon but I’m so impressed with this cream & am hoping I have at last found the solution to my problem skin. For years I’ve had horrible red & flaky skin on my face which doctors have told me is eczema. It flares up very regularly, I can be fine for 2 or 3 days then wham, my skin breaks out. I saw a dermatologist years ago & she said as long as I use it very occasionally it would be ok to put a very small amount of Eumovate on my face. It did clear the redness for a few days but then it just kept coming back & I was putting the Eumovate on far more often as I should have as being a steroid cream,it thins the skin & the chemist always told me not to put it on my face.I decided to try & find a non steroid cream I could use safely & trawled through Amazon to do research. Eventually I plumped for Eucerin & the difference is amazing! So far I’ve had no red skin at all. It’s fantastic & I’m so happy. I hope it continues to work for me!

I never write reviews but im so impressed by this cream i have to share as it may help someone who like me has spent years just dealing with having horrible dry hands! I have Dyshidrotic eczema that flares us as the winter kicks in on my fingers - i had read on a forum that Eucerin had worked for others with the same type of skin type as me so I decided to give this product a try. I am 1 week in and my hands are at least 50% better if not more. I am very happy with this product and surprisingly so as the consistency seems fairly milky and not what I would think would cure dry skin - there is also a oily after feeling but I decided to persist and use several times a day (it recommends twice butI know my condition flares up after I wash my hands so I applied every time I went to the bathroom!) 1 week on and my hands are visibly clearer. I don't know if it will work for everyone or will clear my skin completely but is definitely worth a go. I will stock up on more of this for next winter!

I have had small patches of Eczema either side of my nose and below both eyes for years. Red and dry skin, embarrassingly very red sometimes enough where I didn't want to leave the house.What could I lose but to try something not from a doctors prescription, yet again. So paid out more money, this time the hopeful cure was for some Eucerin......well, the outcome was....unbelievable, I am astonished after one day from dabbing some on as soon as it arrived and just before going to bed I wake up and no red patches, I found it hard to take in but looking in the mirror no redness and no dry skin, something I have not seen for at least five years now. I have applied some more today, why? I'm not quite sure,worry it would come back!! Just not used to having clear skin and small white flakes of skin around nose and eyes. So as you can expect I am very happy with product it worked, and quickly. I'm not saying it will for all but it has for me and hope it does for others.

This is the best moisturiser I have found for my dry, itchy eczema patches on my arms and legs. Having struggled with severe dry skin for years and after trying hundreds of creams this is the only brand I keep going back to because it works for me. Used twice a day it helps clear up dry patches in a couple of days and leaves skin feeling soft and supple.Good points- goes on well and is quickly absorbed without being too greasy. A little goes a long way. Its unfragranced so can be used by people with sensitive skinNegative points- The lotion itself is quite thick (another reviewer said it reminded them of pva glue and I think this is accurate!)which some people might not like but I prefer this to watery lotions.Price- it is quite expensive however amazons price often beats the high street or its worth stocking up when Boots has it on three for two.Definitely worth giving this lotion a try if you suffer from any form of dry skin condition.

What a Godsend this discovery has been! Struggled with eczema flare up and skin so dry and taut I felt in pain just moving. Tried all sorts and steroid cream was used at alarming rate which didn't seem to help in end. Googled non stop for weeks and tried so many oils, creams and lotions - ok but skin still parched and came across urea based creams and plumped for this one at 10% urea. What a turnaround! The night time itching faded away in days. Not oily and doesn't leave a film over the days of use unlike other products that start off good then the build up causes irritation. No real aroma to it but I add essential oil occasionally so there is a nice day long aroma.Completely stopped my steroid creams which in turn has allowed my skin to settle down and I feel 100 times better since discovering this cream. Please tick If my review was helpful please so I know they're worth writing. Happy days.

As I've got older (still a very young looking just recently turned 40 yr old) my skin has lost some of the elasticity it once had.So a few yrs back I began to use this product, as recommended to me by a good friend. I loved it, so did my skin, but my purse didn't.Priced (currently) at £13.50 in Boots (the only place on the High rd that sells Eucerin) I could only buy this body lotion once every two months.Now having found it here (& also on another well known shopping website) I can now afford to buy it more often.My skin is so appreciatetive of this regular usage, as is my bank balance.If your having real dry skin issues, especially my 'sista's', & are looking for something with a difference,then I say look no more & purchase this.

I have very dry skin and turn to Eucerin for all my moisturising needs! This lotion is quite thick: I find it very useful to use on skin that is still slightly damp to help spread the lotion over my skin. I had some horrible dry skin on my legs that disappeared immediately on the first application, and it really helped reduced redness and dryness. It isn't cheap but I find that a bottle lasts very well and, given that I have tried everything and anything to moisturise my skin (including higher-end lotions that were much pricier), it's definitely worth it.I would recommend this and anything else from the Eucerin range to people with problem dry skin - the products really work!

I haven't actually bought this from this site because I'm still on my first bottle from a good ten years ago!!! Yes I know that means it is out of date but from my experience it still works fine and would be a waste to throw it out when there is still over half left. And when I mean work I mean it the only thing that I will use on my face when my eye lid gets its very regular flare up of often weeping eczema. Yes it does sting a bit when it finds its self in my eye but that's not the products fault and I have to just grin and bare it. It is greasy on the skin that hasn't got the eczema but I'll put up with that whilst it treats the affected area. Highly recommend for eczema!

Having suffered with Ichthyosis all my life, I have tried everything prescribed by dermatologists and G.Ps . I have heard of Eucrin in the past at some point but I have always been prescribed Oilatum in its various forms but does absolutely nothing for me. I have managed on Nivea creme, the skin on my face is fantastic but takes hours on legs and arms etc. I bought Eucrin recently off Amazon, just to try it out and what a wonderful surprise I have had. It is ideal on my body and my skin is changing dramatically since use. I have just purchased two more packs at £10 each but so worth it. I am delighted and I highly recommend this fantastic product for Ichthyosis

If you have very dry skin, this is the lotion for you. I have tried every other lotion under the sun, but this is the best. The downside is the smell. Some people say they can't smell it. I can. And dare I say it - it smells a little like pee. This is probably the urea, but as this seems to be the active ingredient, there's no way round it except perhaps to add a little perfumed lotion to the mix. I've done this in the past and it seems to work. The price I paid online meant I was effectively getting one bottle free for every three I bought, although at £8.50 a bottle it's still not cheap, but a lot cheaper than say Boots at around £13.00 a bottle.

This is the best moisturiser I’ve ever used! I suffer from dry and flaky skin all over and this moisturiser has helped me so much. You almost feel your skin thanking you as you apply it! It is quite thick (and doesn’t smell the best) but it coats your skin properly and doesn’t feel watery, plus you know there are no fragrances added for effect. When I have previously run out and had to use something else I realise the difference and how much I miss this product! I would 100% recommend this to anyone suffering from dry, itchy and flaky skin. A few days and you’ll feel like a new person.

OK, not quite a suspension of the laws of nature, but I have had persistent dry skin around my face for ages. Not any more. I'd tried many creams before, all to no avail, and was resigned to having to add moisturiser multiple time per day to manage the problem.This cream has cleared up my skin completely. After about five days of twice daily application, I thought it was going to prove as ineffective as everything else, but within a week, the dryness just vanished. I still apply every other day or so, but there is no sign that I need to do so. This stuff JUST WORKS!
