I would just like to add a few things about this game i bought the first horse life 2 years ago and really enjoyed it, it the best horse game out there its not to easy and not too hard and its not based for little kids. so when i saw there was a second one out i had to buy it and it has not been dissapointing there are loads more things to do with this game the whole layout is different u can customize the horse to look how you want even down to having purple hair, this is a very good idea as you can choose what color coat and hair and style, the horses look much more real as in the first game they looked very narrow but in this one there chunkier and just look alot better,the clothing is the same a few extra items and colors to choose from. the riding in the woods are alot better the seanery is better and more realistic, the training is soo different in the first horse life you started training u learnt 5 new moves and then u won a diploma and could enter a compertition in this one u cant there are 10 new moves in each training catagory and when u have learnt these u dont win a diploma u have the go to the competition centre and have a test if u pass u win a diploma when u win ur second diploma you can then enter the first competitions but first you have to pass the qualifier if u pass this you can do ur compertitions on that level. there are new tricks some wierd ones and some good ones after you have learnt the rest of the tricks and earnt another 2 diplomas you can then enter the championships this is also different to the first horse life as u have 4 or 5 different competition levels but this one u have national then its championships thats all there is i find this is a lot better as its harder to get into the cometitions than the first theres so much more to do and learn. the paddock where you are taught to jump is outside not the same place u learn dressage, the pasture is alot better as you can just watch you horse eat and gallop around the pasture how ever long u want and u can call him over and pet him and feed him treats. you dont just have ur grandfather in this game you have a personal trainer, a vet when ur grooming and bathing him, you have two girl friends one talks to u when u go to the pasture she tells u how he is doin another one u hardly see and yep u still have melanie being nasty, in the firsh horse life there was a secret story behind the game and its the unicorn in the forest there is a similar thing but a whole lot better its full of surprises, just before u past ur first diploma u have problens calming ur horse so u cant take the test this is down to mealnie, also this game is full of surpirses once u complete the championships at ur ranch you then fly to america to another ranch where u meet lots more people and u get to ride other horses your there to enter the world jumping championships, while ur there a firse breaks out and ur horse runs away so u have to find him,there is also a foal that goes missing u go out to find but u never find it this is annoying, then once u complete that championship you fly back to ur ranch and ur horse falls ill and cannot enter comps as needs an operation, you can still ride but not fast after a day u find out about the operation and need to enter a cpmpertition to win the money this is in africa in kenya so the following morning u fly to africa where you get to ride a zebra how cool and other horses and the country side is beautiful u get to take pictures as u ride only 5 throughout the hole game u can delete these i think you should be allowed more than 5,after the operation ur horse is not cured completely he cannot canter you have to go searching for the unicorn in the forest to heal him. your horse also falls in love aww[...] i havent finished this game yet but im not far off once u complete all ur competitions you can then have the freedom to travel back to kenya or united states when ever you want,i love it its full of surprises i hope i get to keep the zebra. If you have not had the first horse life i would say buy 100% buy it and the second horse life is better than the first i recomend this game to everyone of all ages its a great horse game the best out there i can wait for there next one thats released in september its called pony life, i hope this review has helped buy if in doubt still buy it u will not be dissopointed

This is a great follow up to the original horse life. Works on a similar basis to the first, learning moves via tapping and following dots, so nice and familiar there. Once again you choose your horse, buy feeds, tack, clothes etc, have to clean your horse and muck out, keep him happy and fit. Training is much better, lots more moves to learn, some quite tricky! You have to qualify before going into competitions, some of which are overseas. A nice touch for the Brits is that show jumping is now called show jumping and not steeplechase! The jumps on cross country are more varied and more true to real jumps, as are the show jumping fences. Grandpa has gone and there are a few more characters,who thankfully, don't talk as much as Grandpa did! Overall lots of small things have been improved, plus if you have a friend with the game too you can link your DS's and have races etc against each other. If you enjoyed the first Horse Life, I think you would definately enjoy this sequel!

I think this game is really good mostly because of the REALLLLLY fun bit at the end because if you complete all the contests (don't worry there not hard and I'm 8) you get to travel around the world on a plane to:AfricaAmerica andsomewhere else but I can't remember at the moment!And ride zebras and mustangs! and then you can have another file were you can actually own zebras andmustangs and unicorns and pink horses!I would recommend it for people the are in between 6 and 40hope my review helped! :-)

I first got this 2 years ago and I have just finished the game! First of all you get to choose the horse you like the best, you an get pink horses, unicorns, and even zebras! But then there is the normal breeds of horse. I got a black horse and named him Blacky. Then the horse you chose gives birth, and the foal is your horse, when it grows up, then you learn lots of tricks and enter diplomas and competitions. In the end it is totally unpredictable I loved it, but I won't say any more

This game is really high-quality considering it's target audience and genre. Most pet games are usually pretty bad, but this one had fairly good graphics and just enough plot to keep you going through some of the kind of boring or tedious parts. It's somewhat shot, but it will probably outlast most kids' attention span anyway. Once you beat it, there's almost no incentive to play it again. It's exactly the same, but you unlock some different horses.

This is a great follow up to the first Horse Life and lots of things have been improved. The graphics are better and the horses look more life like. There are lots more characters to talk to making the game more interactive than before. I like the fact that you can travel to different countries and ride a variety of horse including a mustang and a zebra. I would recommend this game to anyone who loves horses.

The game is very good and the graphics are excellent. My one complaint would be the limited activities you can do in a day though you have 3 to finish so repetition tends to creep in a lot. Once you have reached championship level you could go and do it all again with another horse but having accomplished it once, yet again, it becomes repetitive.Enjoyable the first time though.

Bought for Christmas - my daughter is horse mad and just turned 14. I was worried this game may have been too young for her, as she reads adult horse care books and rides well. But I have to say she loves it, the graphics are pretty good and she has not got bored yet, as there are lots of things to do. She wants her cousin who's 11 to get it too, as it is so good.

Good game. More horses to choose from than some similar games. This is actually Horse Life 2, so a little more in it than the first one. Good graphics (on XL). Lots of content. No codes to put in, which so often fail. Different ways to clean horse. Can choose what one wants to do that day. Not in advance, but as one continues to play. Great game.

I am 38 years old and a great fan of horses and horse games. I own horse life so purchased this game as well. It is brilliant you get to ride overseas as well as in England. A great follow up to horse life and you are able to play it over and over even when you have completed the adventure. A must buy !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I bought this game for my thirteen year old daughter for Christmas. She has really enjoyed playing the game and found it great fun. Her only criticism would be that once you've finished the game it is then very repetitive but it has given her a lot of enjoyment and she does go back to it from time to time.

my 7 year old daughter has this game and loves it! theres lots to do ride, feed, clean, compete, buy equipment, the game is simple enough for her to play alone but not too simple that it gets boring, both myself and her 4 year old sister like to play this game too! a great game, recommend buying!

I got this game for my birthday and it is quite easy to get the hang of. It teachs you and your horse about things you'd learning from horse riding. You can choose from seven breeds for your horse and name it. I love playing this game and you won't be disappointed, I'm proud to say.

Absolutely AMAZING game!!!!!! Really fun game lets you keep a horse and dress your rider, I highly recommend this game and if you're reading this get this game NOW!!!I'm trying to see if there is a horse life 3 because its So good!!!

a great came that follows on from the first horse life- its pretty similar just with more imroved graphics etc and its more girly because its ellen whittakers horse life xx
