I initially gave this review a 4 star rating but I changed it to 5 stars, because I normally use a non HD elixir on my guitar and I have gotten used to it, so when I changed for the first time to elixir HD at first it sounded awesome because the smaller strings ring out more I don't have to strum hard on them and they ring out this lovely harmony on the G chord (3,0,0,0,3,3) at the neck and also many other chords like the D chord benefits from the thickness of the strings. Now here is where noticed something not particularly bad but I just had to get used to it, when I amplified the acoustic guitar via its pickup with my old settings it sounded a bit strange and uncomfortable, not bad!

You can't go far wrong with these strings and if they use them on Taylor's then that's a pretty good recommendation, but in the end it's all about what suites the individual player. These suit me!
