A few negatives to start with:I don't think I could recommend this to anyone who doesn't have a PSN subscription. The offline story and battle modes are really just for building your selected characters and getting to know them better. The story is very flimsy, and with it's 3 vs 3 gameplay it is clearly designed with online gaming in mind. The display is a nightmare to begin with and the controls and camera angles need a lot of adjusting to. Finally, and a very minor negative point, it's very irritating to see that Cloud can eventually learn Omnislash and simply massacre everyone with it but Squall doesn't have Lionheart. Instead we get a really boring Ultima spell as his forth and final HP attack.I thought this was a mean spirited move on the developers part. The great points:Every character feels unique and has their own style, weaknesses and strengths. Learning how to use a character that you initially thought was useless and developing your own strategies for maximizing their powers is a real pleasure to experience. My best character so far is Terra from FF6 and she provides a good example of how a player can develop tactical strategies in battle. Simply running into battle with this mage against an absolute monster like Sephiroth or an agile attacker like Tidus will result in a very quick death. I thought she was absolutely useless until I worked on her skill set and realized she works far best from a distance where she can pick opponents off with her powerful magic. The key to victory with her is to create as much distance as possible between your opponents, lowering their bravery points from a far before moving in for the kill with a HP attack. Getting used to the 20+ characters and pitting them against other players is where the game really shines and if you work hard enough you can turn your character into an absolute boss.My advice would be to initially pick 4 or 5 characters offline and just concentrate on working out their moves and getting to know them. The difficulty is tough and you do need to give it time when adjusting to the pace of the battles but if you stick with the game there's a lot of fun to be had, especially online.

It may not be innovate...but it's fun all the same. Games nowadays tend to forget that whilst innovation is of course key , the most important aspect of playing a video game...is all about the fun of it. Dissidia NT is such a game that a person can have fun with, if it is the kind of fun that a player is looking for in a game. But now about NT itself, ahem:Dissidia NT Final Fantasy is the Sequel to the PlayStation Portable only Dissidia games that doubles as a soft reboot for the Dissidia franchise of FF. Whereas the previous games were about two opposite sides...now is NT about fighting all over for whomever, whatever and wherever. Each and every Characters have their own agenda they wish to seek fulfilled, not wanting to blindly follow the laws and rules of the gods like the previous times around. This time, the 15 main protagonists of FF and the 1st 10 main antagonists must learn to work together, in order to fend off an even more diabolical evil. Characters include the following:The Warrior of Light and Garland from FINAL FANTASY.Firion and Emperor Mateus from FF II.The Onion Knight and the Cloud of Darkness from FF III.Cecil Harvey, Kain Highwind and Golbez from FF IV.Bartz Klauser and Exdeath from FF V.Terra Branford and Kefka Palazzo from FF VI.Cloud Strife and Sephiroth from FF VII.Squall Leonhart and Sorceress Ultimecia from FF VIII.Zidane Tribal and Kuja from FF IX.Tidus and Jecht from FF X.Shantotto from XI.Vaan from XII.Lightning from XIII.Y'shtola Rhul from XIV.and lastlyNoctis Lucis Caelum from XV for the starting line-up.DLC Characters include for examples:Yuna from X.Locke Cole from VI.Rinoa Heartilly from VIII.Judge Magister Gabranth from XII.Snow Villiers from XIII.andVayne Carudas Solidor from XII among others to be included with the passage of time.

As a fan of the origional it hurts to see this game get little recognision for what it does right and instead marked down for "not being like the other 2" this game is a port of an arcade game that has been going since 2015, it removes the attack customization to add a balance for online play characters are fun and each have their own mechanics and styles that you realise no character plays the same , cloud plays completely different to cecil despite both being in the vanguard class the lock on system has it's flaws but can be made way better by switching to list mode in the settings. you can create 1v1 matches in the custom match though i do think they should add a ranked 1v1 later down theline with smaller versions of the maps but it's not a big issue.my biggest complaints are the story having to be earned by leveling up istead of just being able to play through it in one go, and the online is a p2p system so if someone from the uk plays someone from usa that game will almost be unplayable this wouldnt be too bad if the game could filter out regions but the best option is for this game to get dedicated servers but that wont happen if we dont support the game.

As a lover of both Final Fantasy and fighting games, the Dissidia series has always been a great joy for me. Dissidia NT switches up the formula, placing emphasis on 3v3 team based combat (1v1 and 2v2 are available in custom lobbies and sparring mode). Whilst some may argue that the combat is shallower than the previous games in the series (each character has less attacks available), I would disagree, as the depth truly comes from the team work and exploration of the 4 different character classes.Whilst the main focus of NT is competitive online multiplayer, but there are still offline options available - the story mode is fun, and great fan service, if a little unorthodox in its way of progressing. There is also a gauntlet mode, where you can fight AI opponents, and is great fun. There are plenty of cosmetics to unlock for the 28 characters available (6 more characters are confirmed to be added via a season pass, throughout the year).I hope Square continues to support this game; it's a great game - but with ongoing support it could be incredible.

It's a good game and I can understand the bad reviews especially if u have played the old psp version as they had a story mode you could play where as this one its mostly cutsean based but as a huge final fantasy fan it is still a very good game so I would definitely give it a chance if u love ur final fantasy I would say it is still 5star gaming

Lots of fun even in single player mode. Takes some getting used to after the original Dissidias, but it's still great in its own way. Story is pretty weak though.

I like how fun the game is to play with your friends, and how it is programmed to play. Admittedly it isn't for everyone but I would give it a try.

One of the most addictive games I'm played recently, the combat is balanced and not too fast-paced yet also not too slow-paced that it gets boring.

15.2.2018

Good game however different from original and needs better online connection as it is sometimes very laggy,
