This is an excellent product for the price. It removes odours from the air, then passes through a HEPA filter, filtering out 99.97% of allergens, as small as 3 microns. Then if that isn't enough, what ever does manage to get through is passed through the Viro system. Which basically ionize what ever gets through and bounds them with negative water atoms, changing there chemical composition.Yes the item is a little noisey, but as someone who struggles sleeping I find it a rather pleasant background white noise.I live in an old house, which is prone to mould and dust mites etc. This filter removes the lot, making the air in my home really nice to breath in.

Morning was a nightmare sneezing, and blocked nose no matter how much I cleaned my bedroom; came across this Air Purifier, looked at other reviews and bought it, honestly; it does work, at first left it on at 2 for a couple of hours before going to bed, now I put it on at 1 during the night, can hardly hear it, not an intruding light, and cannot believe the difference in my breathing, have recommended to friends with athsma, not saying it’s a miracle cure, it just helps clear the air in my room.

Purchased to help with my asthma, seasonal allergies and inevitable winter lurgey. Does what it says on the tin. My living room is about 23ft by about 16ft and it clears the air within about half hour. It has a noticeable affect on the air quality I just with it was easier to purchase replacement filters. These purchased from the supplier are not far of the cost of the unit which is a shame. The noise is relatively quiet in a living room setting but I definitely couldn't use it for sleeping.

Got this for my girls daughter who was suffering from breathing problems (also suffers from Asthma at times) and she asked for this Dimplex as it wasn't too expensive. She noticed the difference straight away, saying she felt much better. Within 6 days of purchase the wires inside were sparking badly. So i collected it and exchanged it for another one. So far so good. Tried to get a replacement filter as she uses this machine all the time and i cannot. No stock anywhere, so be warned!

Summer is a struggle if you have hayfever.I had sore eyes, nose and excessive sneezing .I tried tablets to no effect, so I purchased the Dimplex DXAPV3N Air Purifier and it has helped.It's portable at only 240mm x 330mm with a weight of 1.6kg which is good, as I take it to work.It's easy to use with 2 functions as is the filter to replace and it is very quiet as not to be a distractionI've used it for 2 weeks and my hayfever seems to have a leviated so I highly recommend it.

Good little device for freshening your room up, small and light enough to move around easily. Has a low and high settings which gives a gentle or stronger breeze. The low setting is maybe a better night time setting if your a light sleeper, although there it is very little noise. It blows a lovely clean, fresh, cool breeze. It's only 25 watts so is very economical to run. I have mine on in the bedroom all through the the night. I couldn't be without it now. 10/10 highly recommended!!

This Air Purifier is the cheapest on the market so as an introduction to what an Air Purifier can do, it's actually great.It doesn't get rid of smoke smell by 80% but it does get rid of smoke smell. I live next door to a chain smoker and this Purifier does calm the smoke smell down but not disappear.It's noisy but I find the fan noise very therapeutic and I fall asleep to the white noise it makes. So, if you have trouble sleeping, this fan will send you into a deep sleep.

Bought this with concerns..... but with argos returns policy, guess it wasnt reelly a risk.Have it by my bed & works a treat. Really low noise level, blows out cool clean air all night. Definitely improved my sleep & added bonus (according to my wife) it has reduced my snoring significantly ... guess something to do with breathing better .... final bonus it blows a gentle stream if cool air at mattress height level which has been just right on the recent warm, muggy nights.

I cannot praise this product enough! Bought it before Christmas when our son was sick with RSV and acute asthma. We have pets and no general AC or Ventilation at home. The difference in our sons breathing was clearly visible within 30 min of running the filter on max, in a room of approx. 20m2.Just remember to get new filters, states clearly in manual to exchange after 2000-ish hours. Only minus on this is that you have to contact Dimplex Customer Support for a new filter.

It clears the air, theres not many ways for us normal people to see how, apart from checking the filter from time to time, I tried to smoke behind it and the smoke dissapeared and did not came out.Bit noisy sometimes, due to the cheap manufacturing the fan seems to have something stucked or triggering another piece of plastic which sounds louder than it actually is.The only downside, is the lack of replacements for the filter, which already sets a deadline to the device.

I bought this for my allergic rhinitis and noticed a difference immediately. The noise really isn't a problem at all - it's probably quieter than the electric air vent in my bathroom and more of a 'soft' whoosh than an electric burr. I really like the size and design of the product too - it's very portable. I miss not being able to monitor my air quality and the filters but the size and design mean I'd rather buy that separately then get a bigger more expensive purifier.

I had an important day ahead on me that involved a long train journey and a prior overnight stay in a hotel. I suffer from severe hay fever and was worried that day would be marred by being a sneezy mess. It was small enough to plug in on the train without any issues and ran overnight in the hotel. I had a perfect experience and can't praise this product enough. Its performance on the one trip was worth the purchase price. Quiet, stylish, light and small. Simply perfect.

We bought this primarily to remove strong cooking odours.Our cooking/living area is one large open space and in the Winter when you cannot open a window or door it proves difficult to get rid of the smells.After 2 weeks it has been worth it. We leave it on low and the air is fresh and clears the cooking odours quickly. I wouldn't say it is super quiet but certainly isn't distracting.Very pleased with our purchase, so much so we bought another one for the ground floor.

I’ve been suffering with really bad allergies this year due to pollen and our very furry cat. Since buying this and keeping it in my room I have felt much better - less runny nose, itchy eyes and general mucus in the sinuses. Somehow I feel like I’ve been sleeping better as well. My allergies were really really bad. Sometimes I just go into the “purified” room if the rest of the house is making me sneeze too much and it really works!

Got this air purifier having done some homework on them.My family have various hayfever and allergy issues. This has really helped my son who also has eczema as it not only cleans the air, but cools it as well - so it's helped to stop him scratching at his skin.It's relatively quiet, you just get used to hearing it I think.Overall I'm really pleased I purchased this and will be getting a 2nd one for another part of the house.
