Man, I LOVE this monitor!!!!I use a Mac Mini and used to have it hooked up to my 42" tv. That was ok but I desperately wanted a computer desk and a dedicated monitor for my Mini.I eventually got round to buying a desk and I then went on the hunt for a monitor. I'd narrowed my choice down to Eizo and Dell. I don't think you can go wrong with either to be honest although I do think some people buy cheaper Eizo just because of the name.Anyway, I am planning on using 2 monitors so that ruled out the 27" monitor for me. I absolutely love how thin the frames are, I'm using two of these in a dual monitor set up with them side by side and they are excellent.Resolution was detected automatically by Windows 7 at 1920x1200 I didn't even bother installing the drivers from the CD that came with the monitors. Colour quality is very good, came pre-calibrated from the factory so I didn't have to fiddle around with anything, viewing angles are perfect, the screen will look the same no matter from where you're looking at it.One thing that caused a bit of confusion at first is that the monitors came from the factory pre-set to detect a Display Port cable, while the boxes only contained Display Port > Mini Display Port cables.

16:9 has become standard for monitors and there's not a lot of choice if you want 16:10, which I much prefer - the extra pixels at the bottom (vs. 1920 x 1080) make all the difference. I've always liked Dell monitors so I chose this one in preference to similar models from BenQ and Asus, some of which have quality control issues to judge from the reviews. Indeed my 12 year old Dell Ultrasharp 19" is still going strong.The monitor has a crisp display with excellent colour rendition. There were no dead pixels and no backlight bleed/IPS glow on the YouTube tests. Setup was automatic in Windows 10 without needing the installation CD, but it didn't display at its native resolution straightaway.

I only received this monitor yesterday so I have only had a few hours to 'play' with it, but so far it has lived up to my expectations. I have been using a Dell U2412M monitor for some time now and decided to buy a newer version (but still 1900 x 1200) so that I could have a 2 monitor setup.When I switched on I was immediately impressed with the colours, even better that my trusty 2412M, and that was good. No dead or bright pixels, good video performance and no motion blur that I could see.The U2415 comes with a DisplayPort out port, so that I can run both monitors of the single DP socket on my graphics card, and also a USB 3.0 hub built in. Overall this is a good monitor if using OSX. It plugs directly to the mini display port. It adds seamlessly to the existing workspaces - you choose which ones you want to have on which screen.Colours are bright and as far as I can tell true. No issues with flicker, slow refresh rates or the like. So all in all I recommend this monitor.BUTIf comparing with a Macbook pro with a resolution of 2560x1600 on a 13" screen to this which gives 1920 x 1200 on a 24" screen you are going to be disappointed. Not a fault in any way but something to be aware of if buying as a second monitor for a MBP.Secondly controls for brightness etc are on the monitor and a bit cumbersome to use 4 or so steps to get brightness (menu,

Bright,colourful and pin sharp with a sleek understated design. However, accompanying paperwork was printed in Turkish and the mains plug supplied was destined to be plugged in somewhere across the channel and not in the UK! Initially I was very annoyed with Amazon UK but having already dismantled it from the packaging, and fortunately discovering that I had a suitable spare UK mains lead, I decided to forge ahead. The only thing that saved the day was that the supplied DELL CD was printed on the face in English and contained all that I needed to know - in English. I am slightly annoyed though with Amazon for supplying what was clearly a foreign import without stating the fact,

An EXCELLENT monitor, brilliant quality and functionality. DELL haven't done themselves any favors in highlighting it's capabilities: It's sold as having Displayport / mini displayport connectivity to PCs. And it does. But if your Graphics card only has DVI or HDMI ports you CAN connect via the latter to this monitor for 1080p quality. And you can get a fantastic Dell soundbar which has been specifically designed for the U2415.Product Quality: 10/10Value: 9/10Delivery: 10/10The only negative is that DELL don't make HDMI connectivity a real selling-point, other than as MHL ports, which might deter potential buyers.

To me this appears to be a top quality monitor. However it took me a while to set it up, which may be due to the fact that this is my first flat screen monitor:At the initial start up there was a screen message ‘no DP’No helpful documentation providedResorted to the internet to get helpDiscovered that there are 5 very small (not too obvious) buttons at the bot right side of the monitor, No 5 is the more obvious power button.Carefully fitted the socket plug connecting at both the monitor and frame.Press button 3 (count L to R) and select the appropriate cable connection(Also select time zone UTC = GMT)

Photography is a serious hobby for me so required a screen which will facilitate convenience during post production activities and reproduce colours that are accurate, sharp and vibrant. Oh my! I'm overwhelmed by the screens rendering quality. The additional 120 pixels is big advantage to me. The bazel is extremely thin, unobtrusive while working or watching movies and I can imagine how conducive it would be for a multi-screen setup which I intend to have at some point of time in the future.Dell are known for their high quality monitors and this one has raised the bar !CheersNattu

Love the slightly squarer aspect ratio.. 16:9 was I think designed for watching movies, and is not the best for using a computer where you want to read talk pages of text. I may just be old school but really think it's the perfect compromise to have full HD width, AND greater then HD height.Very crisp too. Retina is better of course but given I'm using it with my work Dell laptop, it's as good as I've seen.Also like the "Paper" mode - not e-ink of course, but it's a nice setting with low glare and much better for reading emails etc.Thumbs up.

I bought this monitor to use as an external monitor for my laptop. I was very happy with everything except the fact that the cables supplied with the monitor did not include an HDMI cable which was what was needed to connect to my laptop. The first HDMI cable (version 1.4) I bought and tried did not work but an older cable did. My laptop is 4 years old. It would have been helpful to have some indication of compatibility in the product specifications and more details about different options to connect the monitor in the product handbook.

Bought as an upgrade over a 21.5 inch monitor. This having a 16:10 ratio is really a lot bigger and gives a really good workspace. Colours are very good and there are lots of inputs. Screen is sharp. Viewing angles are wide. Especially like the height, tilt, and rotational mounting ( can by used in portrait mode). Dislikes ... nothing really. As someone else has posted the packaging is a bit of a puzzle and the connections are not that easy to access. But both of these things are sort of once only so not a big concern.

Bought two of those, been using them for few months now. Excellent image quality, love the thin bezel, it is VESA compatible, I have them on a stand. Cables supplied are of exceptional quality, however I wasn't able to run them in the daisy chain mode, that DP should support since 1.2. It might be caused by my ThinkPad's drivers, but I'm still pointing it out - if you google this issue, you'll find most people had trouble with these screens trying to run them in daisy chain. Otherwise they are really excellent.

I have been using it from last few months and I am writing review today so that it can help others. It got delivered on time in perfect condition. I was confused with other models but I would say go for this Dell UltraSharp U2415 24 Inch model as its picture quality is very good for a high resolution video. I use this Monitor with my MacBook Pro with Type C USB Hub.It's best available option in the market for setting my work from home station. Without any doubt please go for it.

Without doubt a really good monitor. The 1920x1200 resolution is FAR better to use that 1920x1080. The extra height and screen real estate makes a huge difference. Text is superbly sharp and colours are excellent. Unlike previous models (presumably because this is quite thin) there are no USB ports on the side of the screen. The screen is quite light, and seems very energy efficient (does not get warm even after being on for quite a while). A great buy.
