This is the first time in 40 years I have used flat wound strings and I am hooked, I don't normally play jazz but you just cant help yourself, I think you probably need to have an arch top guitar to get the best out these strings, if you like that old sound (although you can play anything with them) then they will work for you. The G is wound so it's challenging to bend the note but hey who doesn't like a challenge.

Superb strings but will get the 10s next time. 11s a little heavier on the fingers. However they have a beautifully clear ring and squeak free on the low E to Ds

Awesome strings if you're after a warm 'jazzy' tone. The wound strings last for months.
