I feel like it's important to note that I've previously owned the Logitech G633, HyperX Revolver, HyperX Stinger and the Audio-Technica ATH-PG1, I'll be mostly comparing this headset to those four as I can speak from experience.It's important to note that this headset sounds quite bad with the presets or right out of the box, it heavily lacks bass and just generally sounds awful. However, the headset is highly customizable, once getting the software set up and tinkering with the settings a lot I managed to get these things sounding better than any headset I've previously owned. I ended up basing my own custom profile off the "Music Preset" and turned everything but Crystalizer and Bass off.I really love how customizable this headset is, with the 11 bar EQ and the "Acoustic Engine" it really shines through as being an amazing headset.One massive downside is its microphone, I seem to have a problem where the microphone will randomly boost itself up to the loudest setting. You can imagine how annoying this can be at times, this may just be an issue with my PC though so I wouldn't let this put you off from buying this. The microphone sounds about as good with most other headsets - so just short of horrible. It does the job which is all I really care about. If you're planning to use it to stream or anything like that I would not use this microphone at all. It does also have a "Voice FX" mode which is basically a voice-changer in the software, it does what you'd expect and you can customize it or use any of the presets.The "Scout Mode" on the headset actually works extremely well in CSGO, while i'm not that good (MGE) it really helps me hear footsteps and the sound of a flash being thrown. What this mode does is basically boost sounds like footsteps up and lower the rest, it works surprisingly well and is one of the main reasons i'm keeping this headset.If you're planning to use this with your phone I would avoid this headset. The soundcard box is not detachable and you have to use the supplied cable to connect to it any 3.5mm headphone jack. It also sounds horrible without the software altering the sound. The control box is just what you'd expect with volume control, a mute switch and a multifunction button which can accept calls or play and pause music. It accepts a micro-usb cable when connecting to your PC and a 3.5mm headphone jack for anything else, although I would not use the headphone jack with this headset.Build quality wise it's made out of aluminium, the only thing I am worried about is the micro-USB cable connection to the box. It is quite firmly attached to the box but it does feel fragile. It's not too much of an issue as you can use this headset with any micro-USB cable.In conclusion, the headset is quite good for music and movies once tinkering with the settings quite a bit, it really shines in gaming though with it's "scout mode" which really changes the game and gives you a huge competitive edge.

I have been using these headphones for a mixture of gaming and music for the last couple of weeks. They need to be directly wired to your device/console (two connection options provided in the pack, USB and the usual audio jack); this lead is only just over 120 cm from connector to headphones, which may limit use somewhat, depending on your setup. However, the sound quality is very good, even for just listening to music where I would expect any shortfalls in performance to be clear and they are also comfortable for those extended gaming sessions that can go on for hours.I looked everywhere for the left/right markers when first putting these on; there is a large L and R inside the earcups,which couldn’t be clearer when you know they are there… The ear cups are very well insulated for the wearer, as well as those around them. I found I couldn’t hear myself singing along to tracks (fortunately I was alone in the house at the time) and I am told there was little noise being emitted for others to hear when they returned (I had stopped singing by that time). But the fact you are isolated from exterior noise to this extent really allows for totally immersive gaming. I cannot even hear my ‘go to bed’ reminder from Alexa wearing these.The microphone is detachable, which is great if you do not need it for play as it doesn’t get in the way. There is no storage pouch supplied but the box is well made and is where these will be stored between uses.These are good headphones that are good for music as well as gaming. The only potential fault is the length of the supplied cable, but you can always buy a longer lead if that is an issue. I think they are great.

first off the packaging it arrived was really nice and a great experience. the headset was really easy just plug in and your a go it comes with two cables one aux and one USB connector, the USB connector enables rgb on the side of the headset which is a really nice touch. After using this for about month and with a solid 5 hour daily use i find it a really comfortable and great sound experience for what i do. Gaming is really nice and music is also great but i only really use this for gaming and work calls. The microphone is good but i would say if your going to be doing streaming i would recommend upgrading as sound quality is good but there are better options then sticking with the basemic.apart from that the whole thing is really well built and good quality feel and controller is also very easy to use. overall i would recommend this as a fantastic mid to high range option for gaming and provides a nice experience for music although i would say this wouldn't be a option i would consider at this price point if your just going to be using it for music its very much designed for heavy gaming use and great surround sound to hear you enemies from quite a distant away.

While I'm writing this I'm happily using these phones to listen to Stevie Wonder's Songs In The Key of Life. I have the phones plugged into one of my Mac Mini USB slots via the phones USB connection making for a 100% digital connection to my iTunes library. The software you can download for these phones is for Microsoft Windows only but for my music only requirements I probably only need my iTunes equalizer to boost the bass a little bit and that's what I'm using. The phones are fairly comfortable but maybe a bit small for my big head; I wouldn't like to wear them for hours and the red crosses on the ear pads light up and I don't like that but I can live with it. The sound is really,really good but ability to boost lower frequencies is a must. Because of the USB connection you can't use these phones for most portable music players but they are great for computer based music systems and I bet they're great with games consoles. I'm really pleased with these H7s. Two thumbs up!

Really comfortable for glasses wearers. The headband and ear pieces fit well but not too tight. I haven't tried the mic as I don't play that type of game but it looks sturdy.One daft feature is the illuminated X on the ears. Why? You can't see it flashing when you're wearing them unless you play in a mirrored room. They can be turned off in the settings but a bit superflous to an otherwise brilliant bit of kit.Update December 2019. Really annoying that the volume control is dodgy. I don't know if they sell replacements for the volume controller but an expensive problem otherwise. It's either on or cuts out and have to disconnect the usb lead/ audio cable. play around with the switch,then reconnect everything. Cheap parts bin I suppose.

Had these for a few months now, and to be honest I wasn’t that impressed initially. But since then, after trying them with multiple different games and hundreds of hours on R6: Siege I’m really impressed with these.They’re comfy(large head for sure!) and look very smart, the dual connection is excellent too, I use 3.5mm on PS4 and they’re fantastic, using the USB ultimately delivers better sound, however, when you’re in a PSN Party and are using USB connector and charging you’re controller, you do hear some feedback. Though if you use the USB connector on PC you don’t get this feedback and you can also use the audio adjustment settings to tailor the sound even more to your game.I really likethem and ultimately happy with my purchase.

These are headphones of the highest caliber. You can use them for gaming or for listening to music; the microphone detaches for this if you want. I think it’s good to feel like you look the part when you’re getting into a game and these look great. They are ultra-comfortable too. You could wear them for hours and still feel fine with then. Aurally, once you have tweaked the settings to your preferences they are superb. You get a realistic sense of space from the sound image with really sharp trebles and rumbling bass. Their use a music deliverers shouldn’t be ignored either. The clarity provided for games is equally as excellent for listening to tunes.Highly Recommended

Not having used a high end gaming headset before, I wasn't sure what to expect. While in a sense these are "plug and play", you have to play around with the settings to get the sound as you like it. When you do - wow. The clarity is incredible. No one is likely to sneak up on me on Call of Duty with these on. It genuinely does make the gaming experience more immersive and online gaming more enjoyable. There's a price to pay for the quality, but if you're a regular gamer, it's worth the investment.

One of the biggest plus points with these headphones is comfort - an underestimated aspect of headphones in general, but an important one if you're going to be wearing them for hours (days!) on end.The sound quality is good, and you can use USB or 3.5mm Jack which is a bonus. The microphone is decent but not amazing, but it is detachable, allowing you to use them as regular headphones (on your phone for example).They are easy to set up and use - and they look cool!

Great feature set and software from Creative. There is a lot of customisation in the software and it can take a little bit of tinkering to get it setup to your liking at first if like me you are fussy about your sound. Unfortunately for me I have to mark it down a tiny bit because I found that after a while they became a bit uncomfortable and hot on my ears. Maybe I just have big ears (I do) but I often found I needed a break from them.

I really like this headset it was very comfortable and the sound quality was good. I am a hard core gamer so I used this a lot.. But the USB connecter was awful... It was very lose and and as a result of this the headset kept disconnecting from my computer. I am very disappointed in this especially for the price.. (even at the discounted price) you'd expect better quality cables.

My eldest grandson is into gaming. He has all the equipment and has also got a new gaming PC. His last headphones were really good but these are so much more comfortable to wear for long periods. The sound is amazing on both PC and PS4 and he said that for the price they're hard to beat. Very clear sound and cannot be heard by others even when they are close by. Excellent product

I got my headset the day after promised (is okay but a bit salty), when i got it i tested the sound and great results, not what i could say about the mic.It make a nosie somtimes, more often than not then the voice changer is on, is is the sound of a jackstick that is touched and it scratch quit a bit...

Couldn’t reccomend these anymore than I do! Amazing piece of kit! CreativeX really knocked it out the park with these! Great solid build quality, removable mic, amazing sound quality and software, aux OR usb which is sick!

Couldn't ask for more, Creative's sound software is amazing for these, turn the Christalizer up to 100% and everything else at normal, EQ at higher top end slightly and higher low eld a little, and it's amazing.
