So far I believe this is the best lightweight jacket I have purchased to date. Like it better than my Northface to be truthful. It is very warm and stops the wind. I love that it has a chest pocket and inside pockets as well. In addition I also was able to make it packable by purchasing the Osprey 3 Liter stuff sack(shadow grey) and the jacket fits perfectly. Even had a lightweight pair of fleece gloves in the pockets. The Osprey 3L stuff sack also pretty much color matched very close.I'm really stoked about this purchase!

Full disclosure I bought this in the sale (nearly 50% off) I would never have paid full price. For the money its a great jacket lightweight but warm, the size is a bit on the big side compared to normal carhartt jackets, as I own another in a different style. You may get away with the smaller size, also bear in mind this is a jacket to keep you warm not a work wear jacket so its not as durable as other Carhartt jackets you can buy. If you can get it at a reduced price I would highly recommend it

It's lightweight because there is no actual lining. It's just a cool-looking, kinda bukly windbreaker (that's allegedly water resistant). I bought this for a trip to Calgary, but I have zero confidence it'll hold up to wind & cold, unless I wear my Carhartt Heavyweight Paxton beneath it, which kind of defeats the purpose for me, since I'm trying to only have to take one coat.Probably going to return it, but if I end up taking it on the trip, I'll be sure to update this review.

The jacket is comfortable warm for cold days, but for snowy days I recommend a version of Carhartt Sherpa Lined Sandstone Sierra Jacket J141 is much but much hotter. I measure 6'1 '' and weigh approximately 183 pounds mentioned it so you have an idea of what size to choose but I recommend for a better fit that you measure your chest and compare it with the size chart that gives you the description, that way You will find your correct size.

Perfect Winter Jacket for me. No snow where I am, but plenty of rain and temps from low 40s to mid 50s. I do Construction Management, so i am constantly walking jobs not working in the field. Wanted something more durable, but lightweight and not as cumbersome as many of the Carhartt canvas offerings. This jacket is absolutely perfect. Great in the rain as well. Can't say enough good things . . . .

I searched for a long time for a winter coat (like the puffers that are popular today) that had an outside chest pocket for a phone. I was excited by the Carhartt find, because I love the brand. Unfortunately, though, the reality of this one was that it wasn't quite warm enough for my needs. Very nice, lightweight, but is basically like a very warm windbreaker. I returned it with regrets.

I'm a 41/42 inch chest and purchased a Small as Carhartt jackets do come up big.But had to exchange for a medium which fits perfectly.The jacket measures pit to pit 23 inchesArms shoulder to wrist 26 inchLength 28 inchesA great light jacket for chilly mornings.Hope this helps others choose the right size.Thanks Steve ?

Love the jacket. Very warm for how lightweight and thin the material is. Plus waterproof and wind resistant.The tall fit may have been better as slightly short around the hips. However, that might be because my other jacket is longer and I’m used to that...? Very happy regardless.

I have this jacket in two other colors. I wear one almost everyday. Comfortable, hardworking. Fits good. Looks good. Carhartt makes great products and this one is no different You will not be disappointed. Note: I am 6' tall female.

I like the look and feel of this jacket a lot. Can be very warm if layering, but otherwise not a heavy coat. Can pack in a bag easily (not extremely puffy) as a matter of fact the delivery person stuffed it in my mailbox. ?

Purchased a medium which was too large, although this is my usual size. Returned and had to pay for return although the adverts says free postage and return. StillAwaiting refund for the medium coat.Nice coat though.

Great jacket, exactly what I was looking for. Shorter length and an American fit so went for a medium instead of large - perfect fit for me with a 42” chest. As always, great quality from Carhartt.

Its not so warm that I cant work in it, but I wish it was more breathable. The shell has been far tougher than similar style jackets, I'm not afraid to work in it. What I expect from Carhartt.

Amazingly warm for such a light jacket. Fit is somewhat big but borderline short in front. I usually wear a xxl and ordered a xl. I’m very happy with it. Great jacket

Originally got the large, which was too big. Returned it for a medium and it fits perfectly. Nice slim jacket for cold weather. Exactly what I was looking for.
