I bought this camera to replace a Powershot S100 that had come to the end of its life. The big zoom facility was an added bonus. I have been using it to take pictures of Christmas illuminations and I have not been disappointed. For low light applications it is much better than the S100. Having only had it for a few weeks I have not got round to exploring all its features yet. I an currently trying to get my head round how to use it with a smartphone. I can transfer pictures to the phone but I have not yet got the remote control feature to work. More reading to be done here. So far so good, I just hope the mechanical movement of the zoom lens is up to the job.

I got this camera to take on holidays and day outs. It’s light weight, small, well made, easy to use and very stylish. The zoom on this camera is amazing for such a small body. You can get decent close-ups in good light. The images are very good, again only in daylight. The low light pictures aren’t as good, but the flash helps in certain situations. The autofocus is very fast and accurate on Auto mode. The Auto mode on this camera is extremely good at determining what picture to take and is what I use most of the time.Overall, this is a great point and shoot camera for travelling with, and exactly what I needed. Much better than the camera on my IPhone.

I purchased this camera for my wife as a birthday present. She particularly asked for a Canon as she was impressed by the quality of photos that my sister-in-law has taken with her compact Canon. Indeed we have not been disappointed with the results, as the quality of the images are really good. It also has a lot of functions that make it very versatile. The only thing we found a bit difficult was the blue tooth connection with her smart phone but that may be due to the phone, as we tried it with my son's phone and it connected straight away.

The quality of this camera for the price of it is great. I already own a professional nikon camera which I use for freelance work however decided to purchase this for a more portable camera for travel and video which it is perfect for. The zoom quality is fantastic, provides the features needed to take high quality pictures that look taken on a bigger camera. The flip screen feature is my favourite part and I'm looking forward to using it more and learning more about it. Highly recommend!!

I bought this as I wanted a compact camera that takes good quality photos for a reasonable price. The main reason I chose this product is because of the huge zoom, which has proved useful. However, I have ended up using the macro features more than I thought because the camera focuses so well on close objects. I also use the tilting screen loads; it is so handy to avoid having to stand in awkward positions to take photos at different angles. It is a great all-round camera.

Bought this camera as a Christmas present for my (adult) daughter. She absolutely loves it. It is compact and light so easy to take in a handbag. The quality of the photos are great and the zoom is fantastic. She is still raving about it. One slight niggle was that she couldn't use it straight away (not because it needed charging - that was expected) but because it doesn't appear to have its own memory and she had to wait to buy a memory card before she could try it out.

I have been looking for ages for a easy to use, good quality camera for my wife. it needed to be able to take good quality pictures, with just a click of the button, my wife does not like complicated things, so i bought her this camera, and told her to sit and read the instructions carefully, then just take loads of pictures, to find what setting suits her for the best pictures. she really got on well with it very quickly, taking some great pictures

Bought this as a travel camera to mainly photograph nature. It is lightweight, small and can easily fit into a pocket. Found it easy to use, great zoom to get in close to birds, squirrels, etc... Loved experimenting with the creative mode to try several shots with creative effects. Can also do self portraits with tilted screen. Great app made transferring photos to my smartphone very easy. Bought after reading all the great reviews!

Bought this camera for a once in a lifetime holiday to New Zealand, great little camera which can easily fit in pocket, has a good 40x zoom to capture close shots, flip up screen is great for selfie shots, if shooting high above people head, camera can be turned upside down with flip up screen out taking picture upside down, the picture can be flipped using cameras software, it's the ideal camera for great pictures simply& easily

I bought this for my wife who found the Canon 50D to be too big and heavy when just popping out for a walk. The Powershot SX730 is very robust and solidly built, and feels unbreakable. The 40X optical zoom is phenomenal, but you need to rest the camera on something solid to avoid blurring of images. Fantastic little camera (I can see me 'borrowing' it quite a lot!).

I’m a starting YouTuber and a very broke student to be precise :). And I’ve been in search for a good but affordable camera and I lost complete hope, until I found this camera. The video quality is perfect, the audio is great. And the settings are so easy. I know nothing about technology and I’d have to say that this camera is by far the best and easy camera I’ve tried.

I bought this for my 11 year old son for Christmas. He absolutely loves this camera. It’s got him keen to go out walking and take photos of scenery/ wildlife. The zoom on it is amazing. He has lots to learn to get the best out of all it’s features but he could take it straight out the box and start using it with some great results.

I bough this a couple of weeks ago. It is the camera I expected it to be. A bit heavier than I expected. Menu has not changed from my other Canon camera I had 15 year ago. It is fast and images are very clear and sharp. The zoom is very impressive. The camera is good for taking photos with details.

This camera is very easy to use and takes excellent clear photos. The 40x zoom is very easy to use and produces very good clear photos providing you can hold the camera still. Video also great and easy to use. Battery life is also better than I expected. Overall I’ve yet to find a downside.

Really pleased with the camera. I normally use a smart phone but got sick of average pictures so bought this. It takes amazing pictures and really easy to use. Smartphones are ok for quick and easy but to get quality images that give you satisfaction you need to get this.
