Dispatched from and sold by Amazon = Genuine Cannon LP-E6NBought two for the Canon BG-E14 Battery Grip for EOS 70D and could not be more happy.Compatible Cameras:EOS 7D Mark IIEOS 7DEOS 5DSEOS 5DS REOS 5D Mark IIIEOS 5D Mark IIEOS 60DEOS 60DaEOS 70DEOS 6DEOS 80DCompatible Chargers:LC-E6LC-E6EThe LP-E6N was launched with the EOS 7D Mark II and is basically the new modified version of the old LP-E6.The LP-E6N and LP-E6 are 100% backwards and forward compatible, the only noticeable difference between the 2 is that the LP-E6N has a 3.5% higher mAh (1865mAh) over the LP-E6 (1800mAh)My advice if you thinking about this battery:Don't mess around with off brand/computable brand batteries use this genuine Cannon offering!I know they are expensive and Cannon probably makes a pretty penny, but this genuine battery will be long lasting, hold charge longer when unused, more usable and stable in different temperature environments i.e. the cold. Also would you even want to run the risk of a cheap £15 battery leaking/venting and destroying your £1000 camera?Cannon Warranty:"Canon shall not be liable for any damage to this product and/or accidents such as fire, etc., caused by the malfunction of non-genuine Canon accessories (e.g., a leakage and/or explosion of a battery pack)."Also please check:When ordering that its stated as "Dispatched from and sold by Amazon" as when Amazon is out of stock it may default to other sellers that are not offering the genuine/correct product, which I believe has been the source of some confusion and inconsistencies with reviews.Edited 25/04/2016 to include new 80D model compatibility..

Ok, so Canon batteries aren't the cheapest, and you often hear of third party ones giving the same results. Problem is, as the owner of a 5Ds and needing the E6N rather than the older E6 the choice is more limited. And with Canon saying they won't honour any warranty as a result of third party battery defect, and the risk it poses to a very expensive camera, I think the price is worth paying. I have third party batteries from trusted brands in my older Canon cameras, and as soon as they start selling this newer type of battery I may go down that route (after they've been out a while and got good results), but not just yet. I know the E6 older one works in the 5Ds, but the newer battery is there for a reason, and I have to say at a recent shoot, it kept it's charge longer than my other cameras using the E6, even though they aren't that old (about a year).

I don't normally write reviews but I thought I would in this case. I was a little unsure whether these would be genuine having read some of the reviews but according to my 5DsR they most definitely are - which was relief! They are also definitely the LP E6N and the camera happily registered both batteries without issues. I have after market batteries that I use on my old 5D mk2 which make the 5DsR squeak in protest and then shut down given half a chance - hence I'm happy that they are the real deal.I've not had them long enough to vouch for how long they will last etc but I'm happy so far (and the price is really good too).

I ordered this battery as a spare battery for my Canon EOS 5DS R. It arrived within two days and is the genuine article. If you normally use the Canon LP-E6 I can highly recommend the Duracell DR9943 Li Battery. They are a direct replacement for the Canon LP-E6 at a fraction of the price. I have run my EOS 5D MK 2 on them for years and never had a failure. Even though they are rated at 1400mAh they have hell of a stamina and can take 700-800 or more RAW pics using USM lenses on a single charge. These cameras do not have built in flash so that figure may decrease if yours does and you use flash a lot.

I bought some not-Canon batteries to supplement the battery provided with my new Canon EOS 80D - this was a false economy as the cheaper batteries did not fit! So I bought this Canon spare battery - and yes, it is genuine Canon item which is identical to the battery supplied with my camera. Although the blurb say it's for an EOS 70, it fits my EOS 80D perfectly well, although I haven't actually used the camera yet. I can't comment of battery life or longevity but, having used Canon cameras and accessories for nearly 20 years, I expect no problems.

The price is incredibly daunting but it's such a trusty backup, it's the most reliable battery i've bough for my 7D, i'd only need this one and the original to guarantee and entire day of shooting, it seems to charge better than my original as well but I believe this one is an upgrade from the original, I read some people talking about it being fake versions, fake or not it's performance is everything you'd need, i've bought batteries in the past that would lost almost half it's battery life when i'm not even using them but this one holds it mark!

I've bought third party batteries previously and they've been ok. However, my original Canon battery and this one, last much longer than the others. Last year I bought an expensive third party battery rather than their cheaper option. Not worth the additional cost. However, I have no regrets in paying the higher premium for Canon. I'd rather have a good, long lasting battery that keeps me taking photographs, than a cheaper one with a shorter life, so I end up with a very expensive paperweight out in the field!

If you order eda gold bar, I doubt that it could have been more convincingly wrapped to prove that it was a genuine product as it took me quite a while to actually remove the battery to charge it! . No wonder that they are so expensive. Must be the amazing packing! designed by someone who might well be fit to design the next space vehicle! Batteries seem to last amazingly long, compared to a previous Canon model of camera with Canon battery, despite being in a more powerful camera, using wireless!

There will always be cheaper options than the Canon branded batteries. I have 4 of these and and they are not cheap. However, my experience has been that the charge lasts and lasts and lasts. If the weather turns bad for a week or 2 or more and I'm stuck indoors, when I finally grab the camera there is still a ton of power left. I switch off the power saving options on my 7D MKII and during the warmer months the battery can last all day (yes it depends on the level of action). Happy to recommend.

Ridiculously expensive, as are all camera manufacturers genuine batteries. However having tried a substitute make previously, which simply didn't last long, this is preferable to having a spare battery which is unexpectedly flat! These are much dearer than the LP E6 standard battery, which can also be used, and I am undecided as to whether the extra capacity of these is really needed unless you do an awful lot of pictures. So for performance 5 stars, but 1 knocked off for cost!

Camera batteries have a long life but they do wear out. I needed to replace the battery in my Canon DSLR after 5 years and I preferred to use a manufacturer's own product. The battery is expensive but I feel it is worth the cost, especially as I am using an expensive camera and I do not want to compromise by using generic products which will not have Canon support. The battery holds a charge well and so far it has performed without any problems.

Always on the lookout for fakes, my battery was bought four days ago from this listing. It passed the recommended packaging and visual examination tests. It charged up using the original Canon charger in about an hour and a half. My new Canon EOS 80D confirms the battery is a genuine Canon item - very good at today's price (£52.99); I was not prepared to risk a £7.50 "compatible" on a brand new £1250 camera!

Due to the number of counterfeit batteries on the market in general - I only buy when supplied by amazon directly (not fulfilled by amazon but a third party supplier) - it’s more expensive than the copy batteries - but I prefer the original, after spending nearly a thousand pounds on a camera - I don’t want to take a chance on a £10 battery. Buy once - but right !

Genuine Canon battery, really happy with that product, firs I was worry after read some comments that is fake product but when it's arrive I was check all around and now I can confirm that is genuine canon battery. You can check that ease, have look on YT there is video with show you how check geniune battery.

I always buy official Canon batteries as they seem to last a good few years and perform pretty consistently. This can go all day taking general snaps on my Canon 5D Mk II, and then some. I reckon you can easily get more than the average 850 shots that Canon advertise for that model. No complaints whatsoever!
