I needed a second battery for my 1Ds mk3 because the aftermarket one I purchased decided not to charge, so I bit the bullet and ordered the only genuine Canon replacement I could find, it was despatched and received reasonably quickly (from Germany) – The Battery itself charged up and was no trouble at all, worked well and holds its charge as you would expect – Be aware that the genuine Canon battery should be the only replacement worthwhile, its expensive but the old saying once again rear its head “you only get what you pay for” – and if you could afford the Camera(s) that this battery fits then you shouldn’t be bothered about the price – I’ll never buy an aftermarket battery again,

I reluctantly bought this battery, as a spare, for my Canon 1D Mk 1V, as I feel it is overpriced, but it is brilliant. It holds the charge well, especially in cold conditions. I have just returned from Antarctica. Previously I bought a third pary battery and it is useless, as it cannot hold the charge for any length of time.It may be expensive but it is worth every penny. You do not want a flat battery when you are about to take amazing photos.Excellant service from Amazon as usual.

This Canon battery charges quickly, keeps its charge for significantly longer than any other battery I've owned and performance levels have remained unchanged in the ten months I've used it.The indicator on the camera is reliable about length of time remaining, and I've yet to notice an unexpected jump down in available battery life. Rarely would I bother to review a battery as they are usually pretty similar in expectations but these batteries have been fantastic.

i have had several copys of canon batteries for mark 2 and mark 3 and none of them any any good,,they lose charge, dont charge up properly and when you lift up the camera for a once in a lifetime shot only to find the battery is dead is a real bummer !!!This original REAL canon battery is the ONLY option, i will now only buy proper canon batteries from now on

I purchased this battery as an emergency to the one that came originally with the camera. Gives good battery life, even when the camera (EOS 1D mk4) is used in AI Servo.

What can you say about a battery. It was expensive although cheaper via Amazon and it does what it is supposed to. Arrived quickly.

Charge life is very impressive, I have had this battery for some time now and it is still working fine.

Canon battery what else can it be.If you are buying a 1Dx then only an original will do.

Genuine Canon battery, bit more life than the old model, works in my trusty old 1Ds3.
