With the Canon brand you know you're not going to face any complications you might face through a 3rd Party battery, in essence you're paying a premium for the security of that knowledge. Whether this is worthwhile or a reality is up for debate. I prefer the security as the web is full of horror stories.The battery doesn't take long to charge, is a 1st party product so the fitting is flawless and after consistent usage there is no degradation in the battery holding its charge. Will order a spare as the only issue with these batteries is by design their low capacity so you need spares for long shoots

I have an M50 and the run time is poor as it's a low capacity battery - certainly need a spare or two if doing video.The Canon is expensive . but I stopped buying 3rd party batteries a long time ago.It's a false economy because they either don't hold charge or won't recharge after a few cycles - but some are ok though.It's hit-and-miss so I prefer to buy the originals and pay the extra for peace of mind.I've found that in the long run , it's worth paying the premium.

Came quickly, works well and very useful to have a spare. If you're out all day taking photos or on holiday with little access to charge your battery you will kick yourself for not getting a spare and this comes with a protective cap making it easy to carry around in your bag. Also a necessity for doing long timelapses.

Believe me I have bought the cheaper batteries and got stung when they no longer work 2 months down the line. Speedy postage, easy to use and still going strong 3 months down the line, holding battery power as it should. Wont buy cheap again

As I take lot of photos while travelling, I need a spare battery for a camera as I often have to change them during the course of a day before I can get the opportunity to recharge in the evening.

Very good product which works as well as the original battery that came with the camera. Handy to have when away from a rechargeable source so that you don't miss those crucial shots!
