I go this lens cap to replace the lens cap that was included with my 50mm f/1.2L, this lens cap feels much tougher than the original one which felt flimsy and cheaply made and had a poorly implemented pinch mechanism at the outside of the lens cap, compared to this one which is a centre pinch lens cap.Canon should include these as standard for all of their lenses, especially the L series lenses, and it is hard to see why they don't include them as standard when many other manufacturers do too - possibly cost saving?A must have but pricey for plastic.

Always good to be able to replace the original lens cap especially if it's one that falls off at the slightest bump. These new type of grips connect securely with the threads on the filter ring. It's a very positive grip and doesn't easily shake loose. It has a further advantage over the original and that, as always, is the price difference such that you could lose a few of these and still be in pocket.

Purchased to replace the 'old school' lens cap on the 50mm 1.2 L (my OCD forced me to have matching lens caps - no idea why..).Would have been cheaper to steal one from a display unit at my local Jessops, but product is exactly as expected, fits as expected, and is an original product.

Again damaged previous one when dropped on holiday but this was ready and waiting on our return. Fits perfectly although catch a little stiff but will ease I am sure with use. Wanted the branded one as very smart and identical to previous

This is the perfect little accessory to keep in your bag, if your like me doing many shoots in different locations and rushing around, you will have misplace the odd lens caps now and then, I now have 3 spares for every lens !
