We absolutely love this playset in our household and it really is an enjoyable and diverting form of amusement. Whether setting up the various marble runs in accordance with both the picture on the box and the supplied inlay cards and setting the marbles running or devising some crazy design of your own making. It reminds me of the craze that was domino rally when I was younger, which I would see in shops or on TV but never owned any of the sets myself. Whether this is set to be a new "craze" of a similar sort or not I can not tell or do not know and I had never heard of such a thing as a marble run prior to being supplied with this playset.I have absolutely no doubt at all that children would find this equally entertaining, either hours of independent play constructing the marble runs themselves or failing that operating them when they are already assembled for them. There are a number of features to any assembly which you can choose to include or exclude, the marbles are set on the run with a spring loaded mechanism (this is not stiff or difficult to operate), there are small "signals" which can impede the marble in their course, traps, bridges and such. The playset is complete as supplied and I would suspect that any child using it would be happy with it as is but there it is also compatible with further playsets or others in the series from the same manufacturer. This would allow for expansion on the existing, supplied playset which while it is not necessary would be fun for anyone who has decided to become a collector of marble runs and build a bigger or more ingenious run. As such I could see it being a hobby to expand upon. For something which, when you think about it, is relatively simple an idea it really is great fun. Recommended. Do not delay, get one and give it a try today.

This has to be one of the best addictive ‘action’ type games for young kids to get totally absorbed in. It’s a bit like a 3D pinball machine with similar play action so any child familiar with that won’t struggle too much with this.Putting it together takes some time but that’s half the fun as a family. The instructions are all in colour in an A5 12 page booklet which shows exactly what each piece is and how they slot together. Once you figure out the basic construction the book shows you the ways in which you then slot different sections together to create ramps and drops and try to figure out the best means of getting the marbles all safely down to the base. There are 4 designs shown in thebooklet to get you started and each one details how many pieces you need to make it from the basic model at 35 pieces up to the most complex at 53. So there’s certainly plenty here to keep youngsters amused. However, while it looks like it would be a great family game, this really is a game for older children and that certainly needs to be adhered to as younger children will end up with marbles in places no marble should ever go even when supervised, so if you have under 7’s in the house best to wait until they’re in bed if you want to let older ones enjoy the game. But certainly a great time spinner and perfect for Christmas time.

Marbles are old school and in these days of electronic trickery, why do we need them? Because they are great fun. I used to love playing with Marble Madness style toys in my youth and the Buki's 'Marble Run' allows you to create something similar, but for yourself. The packs comes with loads of different types of pieces so that you can create loads of different runs. If you are struggling to come up with many ideas yourself, you also get a set of plans to help you recreate ones that Buki have already tried. One you have set up a run, it is more than just watching a marble drop from the top to the bottom, the various bits and pieces means that you seem some neat tricks on the way.Even launching the marbles is good fun with a hopper that allows you to jettison the marbles. The pieces can be a little wobbly once you have built the thing up, but for what it is the structures are pretty sturdy. This is a gift best used by a family together or a dedicated child as setting up the runs can take a while. You get a great sense of satisfaction though when you finally launch the marbles and they actually do what you hoped.

It is easy to spot BUKI toys/games as they are in strong colours and look tactile, and this marble run is no exception. It looks good, and most importantly it overcomes what may be a criticism of BUKI that some products are a bit limited in scope for play – but this marble launcher with elaborate runs make for a winner. As well as creating one’s own chutes, bridges, balances, traps etc. accompanying information indicates a number of different arrangements to construct, and even more are possible if combined with the compatible BUKI ‘Mega’ kit and with more working parts. This BUKI marble run could be 5-star,but it is a bit fiddly and marbles are a bit on the small scale – hence deduction to 4-star rating.

A super fun and addictive set - my children are fascinated by it. It’s a bit tricky for my younger ones to construct the various Marble Runs but my children of 8+ are enjoying getting creative and piecing them together and even inventing their own. Great for them to develop their construction skills and to follow instructions even if a little help from adults is needed occasionally! This comes with 10 small marbles which is great as you can set them all running and you have enough to use even if the kids lose a few! (keep them away from little ones as they will inevitably get put in mouths, ears and noses and they are very tiny in size)Recommended, good fun and once built it’s the ultimate marble run!

This is definitely a more grown up marble run and great for kids who have outgrown their little kids version, but still love the joy of building and creating these towers and watching the marble slide down this way and that. This version adds extra hazards for the marbles and thrills for the builders/watchers and it add not just hours of fun, but years of playability for a family. This isn't for tiny little ones, but I would say from 7 or 8 years and up. So much fun (for the adults too!) with a few suggestions mapped out for you at the beginning, but you can create all sorts of different arrangements and it's pretty addictive all in all!

I've played with marble run toys in the past, and they have a limited shelf-life. But the added bells and whistles give this set more of an edge. The set comes with a handful of pre-set builds, but the truth is that you can make this any way you wish. Complete with switches, dominos, a fire hoop and swing bridge, this set is so much fun to play with. The plastic is a little thinner than some other marble run sets I've seen in the past, but this doesn't detract from what is a fantastic playset, that has already enjoy many hours of playtime at our house.

This is a fantastic marble run - with a ring of "fire", tilting see-saw type thing, and my favourite - dominoes to knock over! This would make a fantastic gift for any child (I'd say suitable from age 4, with no maximum age - my husband loves it too!)

There is plenty of scope for ingenuity as well as following instructions. Plenty of fun to be had. A bit on the pricey side for me though.
