I received this as a Christmas present and as I have had a lot of experience in the past with construction kits such as Lego and knex, I thought this would be fairly simple. However I was wrong, it proved quite difficult to create and I would suggest not buying this product for beginners as it could prove difficult, also young children will need adults help. I found that there needed to be a lot of adjusting to the clamps and lengths of the track in order to create a smooth run for the ball. It took about 6 hours to make, and a further couple for adjusting. What it may not mention is that the track is not pre-cut and you have to cut it down to size yourself,I would recommend pliers when doing this.Overall it is a great product and I can see that in theory you could simplify or extend the design to your own content and change it in any way you wanted. I would not recommend levels 2+ for children under 11.

Interesting gadget to build, I didn't have too much trouble getting it to run right although I was checking the rail sections as I went along. I did have to super glue the seesaw axles into their mounts in order to keep the seesaws from drooping down and eventually not working with each successive marble run. After you're happy with the seesaw angles you could always drill through the mounts and axles and but a pin through to act as a stop against unwanted rotation. Overall quality seems ok (these aren't exactly expensive) the building instructions do need revising though and perhaps decluttering, the instructions might put some people off attempting the build which is generally enjoyable.I may well build a higher level one in the future.

works great once finished, only downside the seesaws seem to drop a little over time and the ball will eventually fall off. i decided to totally remove them and build a double twist from the end section all the way to the battery lift. there's plenty of track left over to do some customizing and once its running its quite addicting to watch, then also tweaking it to make it better. :)

Box says for 14+ years, bought this for my 11 yr old who loves technical builds. It took him about a week and a half, some help needed with measuring the cables and support with tweaking final steps, but he soon learnt how to read the ball movements to do his own tweaks. As a result he found this very fulfilling.

I bought this for my 13yr old son for Christmas. He started assembling it pretty quickly and although it was a bit fiddly he found it quite easy until the end when he had a do quite a bit of adjusting to get the marble to roll all the way round. When he finally managed it he was very pleased with himself.

Chosen by my daughter and bought for her. Its quite complicated and nearly impossible to make it run smoothly on the loop the loop and drop down bits. A number of the clips broke while putting it together as they are very fragile. That said she has been pleased with it and it looks good in the dark!

I love doing puzzles so this product satisfied my need. It was not very difficult to assemble if anything I wish I had bought level 4 or 5 as it would be more of a challenge, the price was very good for what you get, glows in the dark so looks good and entertaining my 13 yr old grandson loves it

Got this for our 33 year old son - an engineer. Lego it ain't! But as a challenging and satisfying exercise for a teen or adult it's very good. Just don't expect to have it up and running by dinner time on Christmas day.........

This took ages to build. The marble kept falling off at some point or another.Got it working in the end, the instructions are a little hard to follow, but after 6 hours or so, it works finally!all in all, a great little toy.

A bit too difficult for my 13 year old son, difficult for me too. However, once assembled, it is super cool!BTW, some plastic pieces broke when I tried to make it fit, maybe I was pulling to hard, treat with care
