I absolutely love this item!! I bought it for my daughter for Christmas and it has been a HUGE success!! She is currently 19 months old, and loves being able to post the shapes through the giraffes mouth (initially I only bought it as another way to rub my favourite animal off on her - I am a giraffe-a-holic!!).My friend popped around yesterday with her twins who are 1-year old and one is mobile whilst the other is not. Both absolutely adored this item, too - the non-mobile loved to trace the shapes going down the track with her finger whilst the mobile one was helping put the shapes at the top! All three girls had a whale of a time with this!I really feel this is not a frivilous, one age-group sort of toy. As daughter gets older it will be useful in teaching her shapes and colours in a fun way. I really am delighted with this toy and would recommend to so, so many people!

I bought this when my daughter was 15 month old and I have to say this is one of the few toys she instantly got hooked to. Since the very first time when she saw the wooden pieces roll down she has been giggling. More the number of rolling pieces and more she giggles. We have thoroughly enjoyed. She was able to feed the giraffe without any difficulty and now at 17 month ( over 2 months) stage she can do so in quick succession. I feel it does give her a fair bit of work to do with picking the pieces and feeding again and again. Since she has only got better with time on her own and she laughs I feel it was worth every penny spent. It is well made (all wooden) and very safe rounded edges. It is just over one and a half feet tall, can be stored easily in any room along a wall. Colours are pleasing and have not worn off.

This is fantastic, and everyone who has seen my 15 month old son playing with it has commenting on what a great toy it is. Younger babies love watching the spinners as they move down the slopes and older children (ahem, and adults too) love racing to get (and keep) all the spinners moving at once.He has learned to post the spinners through the right hole, and gives himself a round of applause when he gets it right! Wonderful for cause and effect, co-ordination and dexterity. He has also figured out how to tip the whole thing to get the spinners to fall out. He walks around it to retrieve spinners that fall off.It captures his attention for longer than other toys and when he hears us playing with it (don't laugh,it's massively addictive) he comes through to join in. Recommended!

My son got given this toy when he was born and it has been, without doubt, the best present he ever received. From just a few months old he loved watching the pieces jugger down the giraffe and then as he got older, learnt to do it himself and even now, at 16 months, he loves to use it. It's great for his motor skills, he can learn colours from the pieces, and also shapes. It's easy to put away as it stands up neatly against the side of a wall. I can't recommend it highly enough! It is expensive, but well, well worth it. And all his friends like to play with it too. The challenge is to not lose any of the pieces.

Amazing toy, bought for my son's 1st birthday as we saw it in a shop and we were mesmerised. I love how unlike the car version, it kept the disc's on the toy. It says from 18m+ but is easy accessible for a younger child to use, he was using it before 18m.It's sturdy and well worth the money. This was one of the best toys we ever bought, my little girl enjoyed it just as much.I cannot praise this toy enough, my sister was sad we were still using it so it didn't get past down to her little girl. But she bought one herself. The faces the children pull while watching and discovering this toy is priceless.

I got this toy as Christmas present for my daughter, who was one in the November so she isn't most careful with her toys and it is still in perfect condition considering she's always dropping. Plus she loves it, she has a room full of toys and this is one of her, and my, favourites! It was bigger than I expected it to be but was happier with that as I think it makes it easier for toddlers to play with. Perfect to help with little ones hand eye coordination.I prefer wooden toys over plastic ones as I believe they last longer, and this toy definitely lives up to those expectations!

Our 17 month old daughter loves this. It's a simple toy but but creates a sense of satisfaction for her as she watches the spinners clacking through the rails. We knew she had fantastic hand eye co-ordination before buying this but when this arrived we found out how quick she was too. As the spinners got to the end of the run I would take them off and hold them for her and as quick as I could take them off she was managing to feed them back in whilst screeching with laughter! I'm a big fan of wooden toys and I thoroughly recommend this to any parent that feels the same.

I waited for a few months to do this review because I bought this simple but very well made wooden toy for my Grandson this Christmas just gone and he ADORES IT, at first he could only put the brightly coloured discs onto the top row and then try to grab them before they raced to the bottom, he very quickly learned how to fed the discs into the Giraffes mouth and now he plays with it every day. So a definite 5 stars to you for this brilliant old fashioned toy that makes my Grandson and his Mummy and Daddy all very happy playing with it

My 12 month old girl picked this up within about 2 minutes which made me think she would grow bored of it just as quickly but it’s her absolute favourite toy!I don’t ever have to rotate it, it just stays out all the time and it’s basically all she ever actually wants to play with. Honestly, even adults love it, if one of the shapes are on the floor you just impulsively put it through the top to watch it go down, it’s so satisfying.I’m pretty confident it will hold up so well that I might be able to pass it onto future grandchildren.

Bought for my daughter's first birthday and 1 year on it is still played with regularly. Attractive wooden toy with pleasing action of the pieces working their way down the slopes and most adults we have visiting don't seem to be able to resist it. Small footprint is handy when your home starts to fill up with toys! As time has gone on it has been useful to reinforce colour recognition and now naming, so has an educational slant too. Definitely recommend and will be buying for our nephew's first Christmas this year.

We've now had this toy for a year, and it's still going strong. Fantastic toy. My son has never got tired of it, and it has really helped with his fine motor skills. It's the only toy he will sit and play with for a while, and it really holds his attention as he experiments and learns how gravity works. Very durable (withstood the inevitable period in which my son started to clamber on it!) lovely smooth finish, good for little gums. And no paint chips at all so far!

The giraffe is really well made and colourful. My 1 year old loves 'feeding' the giraffe and it does keep him entertained for a surprisingly long time. My nieces (aged 2 and 5) also enjoyed playing with it when they visited, so hopefully it will get lots of use for years to come. Only criticism is it's quite wobbly when my boy likes to try to pull himself up on it. I appreciate however that is not at all what it's designed for which is why it still gets 5 stars!

I was looking for some more stimulating and less plastic toys for my 14 month old, she utterly loves this still a bit young for it at the moment but defintaly understands the pricinple of feeding the giraffe and watching it slide down. Really stands out from her other modern plastic cheap toys. I know this is something she will enjoy for a long time and the quality makes it something that will withstand the test of time and a toddler.Would really recommend

My first son was given this for his first birthday and it has been used ever since, weekly and with oodles of love and fascination ever since. He is nearly 5 and it still gets played with in a variety of interesting ways even though we have a house overflowing with all sorts of other toys. Son 2 has loved it just as much and it is always a firm favorite with visiting friends. Great look, great sound, great movement. Just fab - can't recommend enough!

My grandson adores this toy and will sit and play with it for absolutely ages. He developed the skill of posting the pieces quite quickly even though he was only 10 months old. He also loves to carry the shapes around and play with them as toys in their own right. The only slight issue is that an adult needs to hold the giraffe steady as it tends to topple over in use but then it does say from 18 months so that's not a fault of the toy.
