Bought this item with not too much hope of being able to build it as im not the handiest person. I opted for Level 3 as it offered good variety of track but didnt look too complicated. I found the instructions nice and clear with plenty of pictures for reference and even some to scale images to get the clamps in the exact places. The project looks daunting when you open the box and see all the pieces but once you begin you realise its been broken down into nice easy steps. It took me approx. 8 hours over two days to build the entire structure and tweak some of the corners/clamps to ensure the balls ran at the correct speeds and didnt fall off.Always cut a few cms more rail than you need as there is plenty spare and it can always be trimmed later on.I was very happy with the product once it was finished and the only downside for me was that the motor is quite loud which makes running the rail continuously out of the question. I will certainly be buying higher level versions in the near future. Good value for money and looks great on my computer desk!NB When constructing the 3rd rail (340cms), the instructions advise you cut the rail in two and connect half way round. I did this rail in one continuous piece and it wasnt difficult at all. The second rail with the 2 loops is by far the most taxing and time consuming.

Like it. Did buy as a present for my 8 year old daughter but definitely not her age group. Took a while to assemble but the end result is great. Daughter loves it. As others have said, motor is a bit noisy which is a shame. Would rather just hear the marbles rolling down.A few tips for when laying the rails:1) Do put the holders on exactly the same way as shown in instructions.2) Always test the rails as you go along so you know you are getting the angles right rather than laying and than having to undo whole thing to adjust3) Follow the diameters for the loops as stated. You may need to make minor adjustments when you test.4) Don't try and follow the apparent pitches/slopes as shown on the picture in box.5)Be patient! All in all took around 6 hours :-(Only real issue I have is that one of the ball bearings was flat on one edge so does not roll. Now just need to buy a display box for it :-)

This review applies to spacerail level 5: my 12 yr old son loves stuff like this, so as soon as I saw it online I had clicked and bought before reading anything about it. I must admit I was worried it would be far too difficult for him and when the box arrived with an age recommendation of 15 plus on it, I was hoping dad might step in and help.Christmas day arrived and my son was delighted with this; he had no problem with it and managed it all himself. It was just about finished by evening (that was after 8 solid hours!)A few adjustments on boxing day and ta da! !He is mechanically minded and it does look pretty complicated, I don't think I could have assembled this but great fun and manageable by anyone who enjoys and is good at construction.Definitely kept my son busy and happy all day, he loved it.

I am still building this - a bit every day - and I think it is nearly finished now. Fascinating to build, and tweaking the runs so it works smoothly is very interesting. Providing me with an escape from my work! I also have some more ball bearings ordered from a bearing supplier, as there are just 3 supplied, and I want a couple more running too.Looks great, and though a little noisy when it is working, I don't mind. The build quality of the components is great too, all fits together very well, and my kit had spare parts - more than was needed, which is a good idea in case you lose or break something. Plenty of track as well, with some pins to fit pieces of track together in case you cut a piece too short or something.Well thought out design.

I had this bought for my son for Christmas.I am a typical Aussie male so instructions are no good to me. It is now almost March, it is still in pieces.I am starting to get depressed - my son is starting to give me those looks of bitter teenage disappointment. It says a 15 year old should manage it easy with adult supervision. I am the wrong side of forty, I have already suffered a life of being under 5 feet tall. At the moment I am an adult needing supervision to build a plastic rollercoaster with ball bearings.Even the Ashes win has failed to brighten my 2014 - I need help.

A christmas purchase for my 15 year old son. It has been a delight to have in the dining room, he keeps leaving the playstation and having a couple of hours tweaking the rails to get the coaster running just right. Have brought airfix and other models for him to make in the past, he has completed them within about a day ..... this is still not finished! Grandad and Uncle have come round to see us over the christmas period and they have all enjoyed making adjustments to the track. So far a very good purchase, excellent value for money!

My husband LOVED this! So much so that he built it in a matter of hours. I wish I had gone for the bigger one so that he would've gotten more out of it (he used to be an aircraft mechanic for the RAF) but he still enjoyed this..the whole idea of building this and all the little pieces is a brilliant idea for someone who loves this kind of thing. It was delivered way before the expected time and was packaged well.Thank you very much for a fab product and a speedy delivery :)

I bought this for my son (20) for Christmas as a novelty present. He spent some time in the evening & again on Boxing Day putting it together. He really enjoyed the project & said it was just the right skill level, a bit challenging but not so much that he gave up. He had great fun building it & enjoyed having to tweak it to get it to run. This was a little cheaper than others advertised, really good value, not too simple & good fun to play with.

I bought this as a Christmas present for my brother, and we spent a day over Christmas building the track. The instructions are very easy to follow and the track can be built in a couple of hours. As others have highlighted, the trickiest bit was getting the 2 loops right but once you have done that, it is straight forward. Would definitely recommend the product if anyone is unsure, and will definitely be purchasing harder levels in the future.

Loved this, great fun and many hours wasted, can be frustrating and infuriating at times.Instructions pretty easy to follow, it just takes dolly steps and time. Once competent at it, you will discover the joy, of making your own roller coaster or combining two or even more together, which is my plan.Only disappointment is you only get 3 ball bearings but quick search and you can purchase more, quite cheaply. Would of gave 5 stars.

Still working on it - the loops seem to be causing the most problems. The rail stands/arms seem to wear fairly quickly if you have to move the rail more than once. I also feel that the Instructions are somewhat lacking and need to be studied carefully. The placement of the rails are illustrated in Black and White using Black and White photography which doesn't help either.

After taking a few hours to set this up, the pay-off with the finished product is rather spectacular and makes a great prop to put up in a bedroom side. It is quite loud when the machine is turned on but I only paid a fiver for it and it is very cheap for what it is. I am strongly considering buying the level 4 version seeing as I had fun building the level 3.

This arrived this morning and my partner has already put it together for the kids. Very time consuming and patients is needed when setting up. Perfect for a rainy indoor day like today. but once complete there is hours and hours worth of fun to be had with the rollercoaster. Think my partner is having the most fun!highly Recommended for family time❤

A tricky challenge to build it but that’s why I bought it.I took about 5 hours to build then a couple of hours to test and tweak. Quite noisy while the motor is running SO its not something to leave running in the back ground or I would have been 5 stars.

Bought for my daughter for Christmas. It is quite a challenge to put together, the manual is okayish I guess. Just be patient while constructing this one, if you get annoyed walk away and come back a day later otherwise a great piece of kit
