i do a lot of work with 8mm acetal plastic that is cut on a cnc router, sometimes the parts are a little tight and i needed a way to take a fine cut, i took the plunge with this little guy and i am completely blown away by the little thing. the first thing you notice is the impeccable quality, the build and materials are amazing, the second is how compact and light the unit is, very comfortable to use. i tried it out and the power is impressive it easily planes rafters no problem and being so compact you can get it into tight spaces. The accuracy is very impressive and will stand with the big boys. it accepts any of the 10.8 or 12v battery from Bosch.

I bought this planer to add to my growing collection of the Bosch 12 volt power tools, as someone who carries out on site joinery work, having to lug around a rather large kit of tools can be quite taxing, these 12 volt beauties fit neatly into one bag, although they are smaller than the 18 volt variety they lack nothing in power, not the cheapest tool around but for me it was convenience rather than cost, would recommend to tradesmen looking for a powered block plane, very neat

This item is a great electric plane for doing lighter tasks in smaller jobs, The plane is light to use in weight to your hand using smaller 12 v batteries. Quite powerful for a small plane also you can rebate with with this up to 17mm deep. It can plane up to 56mm wide. I also have the 18v Bosch cordless plane it’s bigger brother, but I find myself using the smaller one a lot more now. I rate this tool 100% another winner from Bosch.

Very impressed with this machine, I'm a full time joiner so have a lot of experience with various power tools this is a great machine it's happier just taking 1 mm passes off it's very easy to keep square when planing wood battery life not great on 2.0ah batteries but it's what I expected ,it's really powerful for it's size and only has 1 blade so if you hit a nail or screw it's cheap enough to replace it overall very pleased

Great little planer, it’s great for the smaller jobs like taking door and window frames.It’s more powerful than it looks so you need to set it up on a test piece first.Battery life using a 3a/h battery is good but have spares to hand.Comes with a spare double edged blade.Very happy with it and would recommend it.Solid built and compact.

So light, plenty of power, I have the 4amp battery. Was scribing today with it. Simple tool to use. Game changer for sure. I have got the vacuum attachment for it but it's way to big to connect my Festool vac to, will need to come up with a solution there!

Very pleased with the purchase as it does exactly as described, being light weight for ease of use. The build quality is very good as you would expect from Bosch, and makes a good addition to my 12v system.

This planer has been extremely useful to me as a professional carpenterparticularly when on kitchens and bathroom vanity units when end panels and plinths need manipulating.Very pleased.
