You can get cheaper versions,but they have to be strong enough to last more than the time it takes you to get the plastic dolphin-choking packaging off. If you love tools (and I know a few), then a pair of circlip pliers is essential. You might never use them, but hey, you can amaze your friends when the party starts to drag. I did use mine. I had an expensive door handle that had gone all wobbly (don't they just?) and to replace the spring with the right tools made it a breeze (especially while the door was open).The pliers come with four different and useful heads and can be made to be innies or outies simply by re-positioning them on the main unit. After finding the local halfords only had an expensive heavy duty set of circlip pliers in I bought this set. It was much cheaper and turns out to be much more versatile.The four different heads should mean it can reach the majority of circlips and by changing which pins on the body of the tool the head is connected to means you can use it on internal or external circlips (i.e. whether the pins on the head come together or go apart when you close the handles). It's not a heavy duty tool and anyone wanting to use it day in and day out will probably be disappointed but for occasional use it should work just fine. About the only annoyance is the pin that retains the head onto the body of the tool is a bit small,

I required these to remove a large circlip from a table saw. this was a serious job, however a one off job.I pretty much knackered these doing that job, however i can see that for small (less than 1 inch) circlips, these would last a while.Handy to have in the cupboard, however most people I know would either want them for frequent use, or only buy when they need them for a one off job.Expect to pay £100 plus for a good set that will last a lifetime and deal with all jobs.Given I needed these for something specific, had no great expectations given the price, and can use them again for odd jobs, I am happy, however make sure you know what you are buying or you will be disappointed.

I originally slated these planes for not being any good. I have partially changed my mind, still think they are cheaply made, but they are cheap. I also think the MRP advertised cant possibly be right. However, I have changed my mind about their functionality, but, that might be down to the description and the fact I’m still on a learning curve. I showed them to a friend saying what a rip off, and he then went on to explain the strengths of a bevel up plane. I still wouldn't use them as my first choice smoothing plane, but when the wood is hard to plane through difficult grain or the ends of a piece I would now turn to these.

I purchase this for my husband who has taken to woodworking and he has been sanding items and it has been taking him ages. He had talked about buying one, but they were the same cost as an electric sander in B&Q / Homebase. When I came across these on amazon I was 12.50 marked down from nearly 45, and being familiar with the brand I felt it was an excellent buy. They are very good quality and have worked well for shaving off bits of wood, rather than taking ages and sanding it down. Good quality and good finish. Excellent for a hobbyist. Happy all round

When opening the package I assumed I had ordered some petite childrens version of a tool. Felt a bit wobbly, not very well put together but cheap. It rattled, it felt flimsy but more importantly it did the job, pretty well actually.If you were going for the expenhsive, professional finish I would probably invest more cash, but as the job i did was in a place that would never be seen it didnt matter. No sure how long they will last but they completed the job they were bought for (at a fraction of the £39.99 B&Q wanted for a similar set).

These planes are very inexpensive and although not the quality a tradesman might require they are fine for doing the odd job around the house. Due to the wet a wooden gate I fitted in the summer had swelled and wouldn't shut, I used the small plane to shave off the side of this gate and it did a great job, smooth a nice and flat.Recommend for the DIY person.Arrived via Royal Mail and well packaged.PS, thanks for NOT using Yodel to deliver these items.

Good name draper ,known in the mechanical engineering trades, for medium quality at a reasonable price these circlip pliers fit the bill. The fact is they will not take industrial amounts of use on a daily basis but are excellent for moderate professional and DIY use. They are of course universal that means the four seperate set of ends can be simply fitted to deal with both internal and external circlips using the straight or cranked jaws as needed.

I am seriously impressed by the overall quality of this product. Very well packaged (which can be used for storing the tool and add-ons), good fit and finish, easy to work with and exchange components, well priced as well.This is my first Draper product, I am putting this brand in the "good" list to keep in mind for tool purchases. Recommended!!!

I bought these circlip pliers specifically to remove/reapply a circlip to a caravan handle which I needed to maintain. The pliers worked exactly as they should. Dealing with the circlip without the special pliers would have been very difficult! The pliers are well made, and are cleverly designed to work with internal or external cirlips.

I ordered this at 7pm on a Friday night and it was delivered at 10.14am Saturday morning! Outstanding delivery by Amazon and DPD. The tools themselves seem sturdy enough with no rust (as said in other reviews). Easy to adjust and the blades can be easily popped out when sharpening is required. Should last a long time.

My review is not that technical, but it is a serviceable plane that takes the bottom off the door to stop the carpet being marked...so does the job.Not sure where in the range it might fall, possibly in the middle...so as a non carpenter ..this is a good product that does the job!

Does the job of spacing clips well so you can then force them across a rod if tight but until the clip is wide enough to grip it really is not possible, so these pliers complement by T turning set and I should be able to reach all elements safely if permitted. Very good value.

Very happy with these circlip pliers. I was fortunate to buy them at a greatly reduced price as they were a previously returned item. Ideal for occasional use with a variety of interchangeable tips to get to circlips from different angles, of reasonable quality.

Good value combined set for the basic DIY jobs. Brought it to plane three internal doors, that would not shut correctly. Did the job very well, and both items well made, and great price. Saved a bundle if I had to call a carpenter. Recommend Product and seller.
