Hubby has a number of Ryobi One tools and was lucky enough when he bought his first two they both came with batteries and chargers. This means that he can buy things like this and not worry about the cost of another battery as he always has one on charge. It's a great system and the tools are really good quality for the DIY market - plus this was £50 cheaper than on the high street and came the next day whilst we were told to buy on the high street would take 4 working days. He was no disappointed when he got it. Just as good as the Ryobi's he has

I have a large collection of Ryobi tools and find them brilliant. They all work very well and the battery system is great. You really need the 5.0ah batteries to have any grunt or lasting power, they are then faultless. I am replacing all of my power lead tools with Ryobi Battery replacements so highly recommend these tools for DIY and middle ground work, probably could use in the trade but not sure how they would stand up to every day use and being kicked around the floor.

This is a great addition to my Ryobi one + tools, I have already used it to plane the edge of a skirting board plank and some floor board edges that wer slightly raised.The tool has an easy to use depth adjustment, vacuum adapter and a dust exhaust that can be switched from left to right.The tool comes with a spanner to change the blades if required and a side guard.Al in all a great addition to the Ryobi one + family.

Far easier than a manual one, and far safer than a corded one. Lovely bit of kit. Expensive, but if you’re using it on expensive doors, you don’t want to buy cheap. Also, if you cut your hand up because a cord meant you planed at an awkward angle, you’d hit yourself for not just spending a little more on a better tool. Sometimes Aldi tools are fine, sometimes you need cushty ones.

Never owned an electric planer before. I've been missing out. This is great, but needs a bit of practice to get a good result. Will even plane across grain with very little tear out or splintering if the blades are sharp. Replacement blades are easy to come by and look to be easy to replace. Not too expensive either. Gone are the days of trying to sharpen a hand plane!

I'm rather wedded to the Ryobi One+ system of cordless tools - which is no bad thing, as they make so many great products - this planer being another example.I needed to trim a door to size on a log cabin - far away from any mains power. This was just the ticket. Probably not as powerful as a mains powered version, but perfectly man enough for the job in hand.

My latest Ryobi One + tool to replace my old mains driven planer. Seems as equally well thought out as the rest of the tool range. Strong, well made and ready for work but easy to use. A dust collection system that actually collects the dust! Many others don't or do it poorly. With care I can see this planer having a long and effective life.

Nice tool to add to my ryobi range. The dust bag works great and collects almost all the dust providing you don't let it fill up. Works even better when I connect it to the shop vac. So much better than my old corner planer. This thing does eat batteries however. Managed to run through a new 5Ah with just one door.

1.8mm is definitely not powerful enough to do. batteries suffer a lot. 3m oak plank - 4 threads - 2x5ah batteries depleted and overheated. 1.5mm is not a bigger problem though. fun otherwise

I have been replacing my power tools with ryobi as they break down and am very pleased with each one I get and the fact that I only need one battery type makes it even better.

So easy to use . Plenty of power. No need for a large battery as the small one gives plenty of usage time.Love the little flip-out stand to protect the blade.Great quality.

Another brilliant ryobi product to add to my collection, this plane is fantastic quality and does a better job than my mains powered plane, highly recommend it.☆☆☆☆☆

Cannot say anything bad about Ryobi or this planerWorks really well, even on hardwoods.Quiet, brushless, smooth and handles nicely.Recommend this highly

Arrived today, well made not used and sure it will do the job well. Only negative hence the four stars was it came with no spare blades as shown on the box.

I recommend this product for several reasons .1. 18v no lead to obstruct movement’s2. Ease of use and storage.3. Powerful enough for general D.I.Y. use.
