We purchased this sling primarily for my wife to use, but for me to "give a go" when required. Firstly, slings are very subjective, one which is great for one person, is awful for another. The wife borrowed several different types from a local NCT sling library over the span of several weeks, and borrowed a Boba 4G Organic from her friend before settling on this particular model. For her, it was a coin toss between the Boba 4G and a Connecta and for my wife, the Boba 4G offered better support and padding, but it was very close.Opting for the more economical (but by no means cheap) Boba 4G Tweet over the Organic versions, we ordered on Wednesday and took receipt on Thursday ready to use over the weekend. There are many designs, but we opted for the Tweet as it's a fun, gender neutral design that doesn't go over the top. The 4G comes with a newborn insert that has two positions that are popped in to place (I believe this is the only difference over the 3G), this offers the infant great support and comfort and is very easy to adjust. The build quality of the sling is outstanding. Well stitched and finished, it has a very premium feel and the materials used are of very high quality. There is a pocket on the band at the front, ideal for a wallet/phone/keys and this doesn't interfere with the comfort of your or your child.Putting the sling on is easy, and each strap reachable to pull tight for safety and comfort. What we've learned from all the slings we've tried is that practice makes perfect. What may start out as a two man baby loading job, soon becomes a solo effort once you become comfortable with the design and operation and the Boba 4G is no different. Our first trek out with the Boba 4G was a pleasant coastal stroll in West Sussex where our daughter settled well and we were able to enjoy a nice dog walk followed by a coffee in the nearby cafe afterwards with a sleeping, slinged baby. The sling proved comfortable and convenient for my wife and daughter and looked pretty good doing it to. A similar visit a few days later to a National Trust property with a longer walk proved and equally enjoyable experience all round. As stated at the beginning of this review, different slings suit different people and you should try out as many as you can before committing to a reasonably substantial purchase. The Boba 4G was a sling that suited my wife, and one I can use when needed, we're delighted with the quality, ease of use and comfort.

I was looking for something to replace my stretchy wraps as I felt it wasn't offering either of us enough support . I needed to use it from 4 weeks old and alot of other alternatives required us to purchase extra inserts or we had to sit down to insert baby to strap then into inside insert or wrap then in one. Not ideal when you are out and about. Then I found the boba 4g. I like how easily the newborn insert pops on and off as required. My babies legs sit how they should to support her hips and it offers much more support especially her head when I'm not holding it. The little hood bit has proven very useful when caught in a light rain showers in town keeping baby dry. It's taken abit of tweaking to get a comfortable fit but I think I'm there with email guidance from boba. It helps that it's so easy to adjust. The colour and design is lovely and suitable for both mum and dad. Very happy with the carrier and so far it's been worth every penny

I bought this after trying a couple of other cheaper carriers and a stretchy wrap. I still have the wrap but use the boba daily, and have done since my baby was 3wks old. It seems to differ from the others I tried by having an additional strap between the shoulder straps, which makes wearing him feel really secure. I wear this for nursery runs with my older child, gardening, shopping, walking and just in the house when he won't settle. I've barely used our pram, this is so much easier.

Very comfortable and can be worn for several hours without backache. Baby feels secure, doesn't slip forward if you bend over unlike other brands. Straps can all be easily adjusted on your own and all neatly tuck in meaning you haven't got loads of stuff dangling everywhere. Baby can be put in on your own without help. Baby loves it and sleeps in it for ages, meaning you can get stuff done as both hands are free. Head support doubles as a rain cover. Looks lovely! Worth the money

Very comfortable for carrier and baby. Excellent position for baby's hips. Our best baby purchase by far and worth the expense. We use it nearly every day for long walks. The baby's weight sits more on the carrier's hips than shoulders so no need for a crossing strap on the back. Good details such as the sleeping hood and zip pocket are very useful. Lovely picture too.

Wasn't sure originally as my torso seemed too short, but this carrier has very quickly become our favourite! Gorgeous design and construction. I absolutely adore having my 13 month old son up close to me as he chatters and babbles away.
