A Gimbal head - any gimbal head - is a revelation when you first use it. Makes using a long lens easier and much, much steadier - as well as taking all the weight away. But this Bemro head is exceptional. Excellent build quality and really easy to use and fit. All lenses/cameras need to be balanced on the head, so watch one of the videos on You Tube on how to do that - makes a big difference - that's where the benefit of a gimbal head lies. Very highly recommended - less than half the price of the 'top of the range' Wimberley and of seemingly equal quality.

Originally looking to buy a ‘Wiberley’ but couldn’t justify the additional cost over the Benro which was nearly half the price. However, any concerns were soon allayed and the Benro has proved to be excellent. One small comment is that I initially found it difficult to get the foot plate tight enough on the lens; but this was resolved by two small strips of sticky backed cork.

Not actually had chance to use it yet but have had a good look at it out of the box. It seems very strong and well able to cope with my 500mm lens, every thing seems operate smoothly and the reviews I have seen for this product are very good.Great price, just need to get out and use. it.

Surprisingly good quality and precisely machined. Good to use and easy to get in perfect balance. Its a bit heavy but will manage a high load and carbon fibre options are available at higher cost.

Im no expert on these but i find it spot on it balances and moves freely solid build quality I'm now getting perfectly clear shots i was previously missing / Thumbs up

Fits my tripods well & is easy to balance with either of my telephoto lenses.
