I've been dreaming of a nice, thick, warm winter coat like this since my lovely Helly Hensen duck-down filled coat - and the car it was in - was stolen a few yrs ago. Love it.Edit: Waterproof coating can be restored by washing in nikwax techwash or similar, or by using waterproofing spray after washing. Normal detergents (or lots of dirt) will turn the fabric into a wick which actively sucks in water, rather than repelling it. The DWR waterproof layer will be totally restored by a wash with nikwax or a dowsing with re-waterproofing spray. That will also make it breathable again so your sweat will be wicked away.

This jacket is ideal for the winter to come, I have worn it twice in bad weather, by bad weather I mean heavy rain and wind. It kept me (the top half anyway) completely dry and warm (actually a little too warm). For this price it is absolutely worth it. I recommend it to anyone who needs a protective coat in case of stormy conditions.
