As someone who has very sensitive skin, suffering from eczema and seborrheic dermatitis, I have tried many different “sensitive” shampoos. All failed. Some immediately, others after a few washes. This has not let me down after several months of use. Although I still experience some itching, it’s a LOT less! I was constantly scratching my sore scalp, which resulted in inflammation and big, horrid flakes of dandruff. I felt embarrassed by the continual “snow” that settled on my shoulders etc after a bloody good scratch. I was using harsh, medicated shampoos to get rid of the dandruff and help with the constant irritation. Yes they worked but my hair was not looking great and I wanted something far more gentle and effective.I admit,I was sceptical that this would help where so many others, with similar promises, had failed. However, I was delighted when, after the very first use, my itchiness was alleviated and the “snow” lessened.Ok, it hasn’t cleared my seborrheic dermatitis, nor has my dandruff disappeared but I definitely scratch so much less, my scalp isn’t inflamed and sore anymore and the big, horrid flakes of dandruff have turned into minuscule, barely there dots - and far, far fewer too!I’ve finally found a shampoo that helps, is gentle and gives me beautiful, soft, shiny hair ?Big thumbs up from me ??**EDIT**Dandruff has done a runner!! No more snow! No more flakey scalp!! Totes amazeballs ⭐️

I really like Aveeno skin products and this was the first hair product I tried and I was pleasantly surprised by how much I liked it.First, the pros:* Lathered very nicely in my hair and I found myself having to use less shampoo as a result - this pack lasted me about twice as long as my normal shampoo with daily washing* it felt great on my scalp. I'm usually quite sensitive and I tend to have a problem with shampoo/conditioner combinations (big drying out of the scalp leading to what looks like horrendous dandruff) so I usually have to rely on shipping a Shiseido Shampoo/Conditioner combo from asia at great expense (don't ask - but yes I have tried most other things). When I switched to this I had no problems, not even hair-teething pains.* Inoffensive smellCons:* Seems to take a little while to wash off. Kept having to rinse and run my fingers through to make sure* The consistency is somewhat runnier than I'd assume from shampoos/conditioners.All in all will use again.

This is a pretty decent nice creamy shampoo.I have scalp psoriasis, and it has helped with flaking.Does leave the scalp well moisturised and I recommend leaving it on for a good few minutes before rinsing off.Add half a cup of cider vinegar to your hair in the final rinse for extra shine. The reason I suggested is is that as as it is a moisturizing shampoo it may leave a slight film on your hair. You need the mosturising film on your scalp but it may slightly dull your hair. Vinegar rinse helps get the shine back. Some have reported their hair feeling heavy and lifeless after using this. I did not have this problem, but it may be because my hair has been previously colored,so may be slightly porous.I like this and will probably use this once a week or alternate this with my usual brand. If you used to use and miss Polytar (for psoriasis) this won't get rid of the condition but it will definitely keep your scalp moisturised and help alleviate flaking.

Although I don't suffer from severe dry skin I am quite prone to minor problems during the winter as I cycle commute. I've been using Aveeno's moisturiser for several years now and have occasionally used their bath oil so I was already aware of what to expect from the oatmeal in the product. This shampoo is certainly easier on the skin than most ordinary shampoos and shower gels - it lathers quite nicely, smells pleasant and rinses well but it's not the most effective cleaner. I notice from the instructions that it suggests leaving it in the hair for several minutes and I suspect it needs longer than average to shift oils from the hair and scalp.I'm not one to wait around in the shower or bath for several minutes for a product to work but I am happy enough with the lack of skin dryness after using it. It's not Aveeno's best product in my experience but it is well worth considering if you have dry skin or eczema problems.

I have had a problem with dandruff for many years and have used head & Shoulders without experiencing any improvement. Recently on the advice of my brother I tried a combination of Oilatum Scalp Intensive Anti-Dandruff Shampoo and Aveeno Skin Relief Soothing Shampoo. Starting with the Oilatum I used a small quantity of both shampoos and left each on for about 5 minutes before washing out. I could not believe that after only one treatment the dandruff all but disappeared. For the past couple of weeks I have repeated the treatment about twice a week and dandruff is now a thing of the past. I plan to cut back to once a week and probably less frequently in the future but know that if dandruff reappears in the future I have a solution for it.I found both shampoos soothing to use and particularly the Aveeno. Aveeno is a mild soothing shampoo which all users shoul find beneficial for hair and scalp condition.

I’ve been using this shampoo for a few weeks now and am pleased enough with the results. I usually use a “Head & Shoulders”- a-like from my local supermarket and have never had any issues. In fact I used to have a bit of dandruff and itchiness before I started with it, so was interested to see if it came back after prolonged abstinence and use of this new shampoo. I’m happy to report no dandruff or itchiness at all.So, it’s effective enough, but I’m not really a fan. It’s not really thick enough when you pour it out, certainly nowhere near as thick as my usual shampoo. As a consequence I feel like I need to use a good handful rather than a small blob. Two, it’s an unappealing whitish colour. It’s OK, I quite like it but it doesn’t stand out from the crowd. When I’ve finished with it I’ll be back to my local supermarket’s.

My scalp was sore and irritated when I went on the hunt for a new shampoo and decided on this after reading some positive reviews. It has certainly calmed my scalp, no more itchiness or dry skin. It lathers you well and leaves hair feeling clean and fresh. The scent is ok, but not my favourite thing about the shampoo, it smells familiar, possibly like a baby shampoo (or a dog shampoo that I have used on my pup before) but it’s not bad. It’s a very faint smell. I certainly wouldn’t let that put me off, I’m actually about to repurchase it again now!I have actually noticed I have been having less hair loss than usual when washing and brushing my hair, which is fantastic. It’s definitely worth a try if you are suffering from an itchy or irritated scalp. And the mild scent is a bonus compared to some other medicated shampoos

When you have a dry and sensitive scalp with dandruff and red itching patches, you are always looking for a shampoo that will make your hair feel clean and soft without irritating your head, and I believe this is the one! Tried it yesterday and was very pleased with the results. It is odour-free and a nice soft amber colour and it lathers up nicely, feels soft and gentle. It rinses off easily and leaves my hair feeling clean and non-greasy and my head doesn't itch either. I don't wash my hair every day because of my dry scalp and my hair tends to get greasy very quickly, but this gentle shampoo can be used more often than other brands which contain perfumed chemicals. This one contains oatmeal which apparently restores the skin's natural balance.

I was suffering from a very dry and itchy scalp that always seems to get worse during the winter and colder weather. Thankfully I didn't have any dandruff but my scalp just felt so irritated all the time and I was going to bed with the incessant need to scratch my head to the point of irritating it even more. This shampoo has been a lifesaver for me and I couldn't recommend it enough. I leave it on for a minute or 2 when using and make sure I massage it in well ( I also use one of those silcome head brushes which I also highly recommend). The relief has been fantastic and I haven't gone to bed with an itchy head once since I started using this shampoo. The price here on Amazon was also much more competitive than in Superdrug/Boots.

This is a nice texture shampoo for anyone with dry scalps and irritations from wearing woolly hats, or just being out in wind and hair not thick.Oatmeal enriched and think this is where it seems to be softer for me than the TGel one I have used previous winters. No nasty adverse skin reactions even on colour treated hair and no colour stripping either. Did use some of this from a sachet a while back but was surprised at how expensive it was for full size bottle. But if scalp feels non itchy or irritated well worth saving for, more for winter though for me with central heating etc and cold winds.I would buy it but only if on offer as have been pleased with this range of toiletries in the past and still using some now.

I have been looking for a gentle shampoo/conditioner that doesn’t irritate my scalp or cause dandruff for quite a while. As my hair is very thick, it also needed to be pretty robust!I was very sceptical at first that this was only a shampoo, as I have always used conditioner as well, but given the reviews I gave it a go.Well, I hold my hands up, this is good. Only a slight scent of oat and, while the bottle is small, a little goes a very long way and soaps up really well.I will update on how it is after a few weeks but so far so good as my scalp already feels a lot less irritated/inflamed. It also leaves dry hair feeling very light and soft so a conditioner isn’t needed! Highly recommend!

I have worked my way through so many shampoos for sensitive scalp, dry scalp, etc. Have been prescribed shampoos by my GP and used a large variety medicated shampoos to try and deal with an itchy scalp. I have suffered for approximately a year after a bad reaction my scalp had to a hair product I tried last year. I had almost given up! And then I tried this. It is my first real relief and ray of hope. You leave it on your scalp for a few minutes to do its soothing thing and the results are great! I always worried that a shampoo for dry scalp would make my hair greasy, but this definitely leaves it lovely and clean.

I like Aveeno but haven't tried the Skin Relief Soothing Shampoo before. It's a lovely light shampoo and leaves the hair feeling squeaky clean. My other reason for wanting this shampoo is for my husband who suffers from ultra sensitive itchy scalp and has been using highly medicated products. I convinced him to try this shampoo and after a couple of uses, his scalp feels a lot better and hasn't felt so itchy so I'm hoping this will replace his other shampoo in time.It ticks the boxes for me - no SLS, no cruelty to animals and lovely ingredients that unfortunately you don't find in a lot of popular shampoos

I've has a chronically flaky scalp for years but it has been worse this past year as we moved to a hard water area.I thought it was dandruff and eventually realised it was dry scalp. I've spent loads of money and tried almost eveyrhing but this is excellent. It doesn't leave me totally flake free but it does moisturise my scalp and leave it comfortable, as well as eliminating flakes and dry areas around my temples and hairline where it gets worse.I've only used this twice but it leaves my hair soft, shiny and easy to comb. Already subscribed to save a little on the price and ensure I don't run out!

I have an itchy prone scalp due to mild psoriasis so like to use either unscented or as natural as possible hair products. I found this shampoo to be very neutral or unscented and not bad inasmuch as my scalp is only a little itchy after use and not as bad as usual. I liked the good lather from it and that it came out of the bottle easily. I will continue to use it as it offers promise and hopefully my scalp will continue to calm down. My hair was left feeling soft but not greasy or weighed down (my hair is very fine) and was not dry as I have found with many other shampoos that claim to be gentle.
