Aveeno Baby Soothing Relief Emollient Wash is one beautiful soothing wash which I simply have adored from I first applied it to my sore, sensitive skin. The first thing I noticed about this emollient wash was the richness of the product, it is so rich - when I pressed the bottle to squeeze some of the wash onto my sponge, it came out of the applicator resembling a long thick, creamy silky ribbon. When water was mixed with it, the suds were rich and plentiful leaving my skin soft and silky smooth and even the dry patches were less noticeable, disappearing as I have continued to use this product daily I simply love the easing of my red inflamed skin. The itch immediately lessened and which for me personally was such a blessing as I really was so fed up with the continued itch. Itch seems to annoy me more than pain, as I know I am able to take a tablet which might no remove all pain but will reduce it, when the itch was becoming unbearable I was getting more stressed which of course made the itch so much stronger. This is specially made for baby's skin which shows the delicate approach which the manufacturer was aiming for. I love how it is sensitive for baby's skin equally it helped my very sensitive skin while cleansing it leaving me feeling, clean and fresh. With the added emollient this will leave an invisible film on the skin which will reduce water loss while protecting it from drying out preventing any dry patches appearing on the skin surface. Already my dry patches have reduced which for me is a huge relief, as I said before for me the biggest relief I received from using this was the removal of the constant itch which was keeping me from resting and making life very uncomfortable on a daily business. This is a wonder product and one which will suit all members of the family, especially for those who like me cannot use soaps which contain strong chemicals or other detergents.Aveeno Baby Soothing Relief Emollient Wash is a wonderful product which not only cleanses skin, it offers skin an invisible film which protects skin cells preventing them from drying out leaving sore, inflamed skin.Happy to recommend.

The whole family has been using this as a replacement for the very wonderful smelling but incredibly drying shower gel that we have been using recently which left us with dermatitis and excessively dry skin. This soothing wash is lovely and thick and a little goes a long, long way so this bottle size (in my opinion) is excellent value for money. This leaves you feeling clean, fresh and beautifully moisturised so you don't need to moisturise or add lotion after your shower/bath. We saw immediate effects after only a couple of washes with this emollient wash and now after 2 weeks, all traces of our dry skin and dermatitis has gone. I have also used this on occasion as a shower gel to help sooth particularly bad bouts of psoriasis.I know that the Aveeno products are on the pricey side but my goodness do they deliver on their promises. We have switched all our skincare and body washes to Aveeno now and I am even using the baby cleansing milk as face wash. We have seen dramatic results on our skin and switching away from the brand has led to skin disasters so safe to say we won't be moving from Aveeno again. I guess the one drawback is that all the products have virtually no smell so if you are a fan of strongly scented products (e.g Bath & Body Works or Body Shop etc) then Aveeno might be on the plain side for you; however, the skin benefits are so so worth forgoing the fragrance (which in any case can irritate skin). In addition to this emollient wash we are also using: the Shea body lotion, the bath and shower oil, the hand cream and the baby cleansing milk. All come highly recommended.

As anyone who has had the pleasure of looking after a baby knows, their skin is more sensitive than an adults. This may be because they have young, underdeveloped skin, but also because they are constantly crawling around or sitting in their own mess. Even a child who is not prone to rashes may break out after a illness and prevention is better than just treating after the fact. Putting something in their bath water that treats the skin is a simple solution that means you don't have to moisturise your baby separately. 'Aveeno Baby Soothing Relief Emollient Wash' is different from some of the bath creams you can get as it is oat based, rather than the oily based stuff you can get.The 'Emollient Wash'comes in a cream so that you add it directly into the water, or use it as a traditional cream as they sit in the bath. As a bath cream it does not dissolve instantly and you feel like you have just squirted moisturiser into the bath. However, swish it around a bit and it will eventually dissolve into the water and then becomes something similar to the oils I am used to adding. The water now acts as a way of moisturising the skin whilst the baby is being washed. I add a little to the water and then use some more later on as a quick body wash and that seems to work. 'Aveeno' does seem a little bit of a halfway house between cream and bath wash, but it does either job ably, it is just the need to make it dissolve in the water that is a slight annoyance compared to other products on the market.

I like Aveeno products a lot - in fact a dermatologist recommended their range to our whole family. I can't claim to be a baby but I've used baby shampoo on what little hair I have for some time and Aveeno's moisturiser is one of my go-to products when my skin dries from cycling in the winter months. So I took the plunge and have had some lovely soaks in the tub with this stuff. It does take quite a quantity to make a proper emolient bath (the kind recommended for eczema) but once you do it works wonders. It washed me thoroughly and left my skin feeling much less dried out than soap or showergel would do. I used it in a sponge as well and it lathers up impressively. My only reservation is that you'll go through a bottle quite quickly. If you really need an emolient for clinical reasons you might be better off with the prescription stuff in the monster bottles. But if you are just taking care of your baby's skin - or your own - by avoiding harsher products then I would definitely recommend this quality potion from Aveeno.

I am a massive fan of Aveeno products and having only recently discovered them, wish I has known about them years ago.I have extremely sensitive skin, mainly on my hands. I also have multiple allergies to foods and chemicals. Just picking up a tomato makes my hands sore for a month. I recently has very sore hands after squeezing a lemon (owwww). This 'lemon 'burn' can take months to heal, and healing takes longer due to using liquid soaps that are supposed to be gentle - but arent!Aveeno is like a miracle! After using for just one day I am already noticing a difference. This emollient is applied to the skin direct, and used like a normal soap. There is no string,no dryness and the skin starts to heal without being irritated by normal liquid soaps.Using a combination of Aveeno products I am hoping for my skin to repair itself in a few days.I could not do without Aveeno now. If you suffer with dry or painful skin or eczema - this is like a miracle. Buy for you and your baby with utmost confidence. It's a wonderbrand!

AVEENO=======Aveeno is a Johnson and Johnson brand and it's a little dearer than their normal range.BETTER PACKAGED==================Not really. It looks fine but it's not top end.FOAMY======It's not super foamy but for me that's not the best indicator of cleansing power. However I tend to use a little more as a consequence.GENTLE=======It's gentle and moisturising. The skin feels softer and more moisturised after washing with this. As I've said it's non foamy and has no fragrance. My neice used it too as she has mild eczema and I found that this didn't aggravate it.TEAR=====Although it's very mild, it is not tear-free. So don't get it into the eyes.SENSITIVE=========It seems to be better on sensitive skin than other skin washes.I like the consistency and I've now added it to my usual shopping list. One to consider if you want a sensitive wash that's effective.

My husband uses the Aveeno range due to the oatmeal extract that helps keep his dermatitis under control. He's been a nurse for years and exposure to chemicals, cleaning products, medicines and much washing, has caused him to have adverse reactions to dishwashing soap, antibacterial soaps, shower gels, pretty much anything topical for the hands. This product is another great one in the range. He's not using it as a bath/shower wash, but as a handwash, and a little goes a long way - it lathers surprisingly nicely, doesn't smell of anything in particular and washes off easily, but it feels as if a protective coating has been left on his skin,as it's visibly less dry and he doesn't need quite so much Aveeno cream for moisturising. This is a product that we'd highly recommend for anyone with sensitive skin, or skin prone to dermatitis (we were introduced to the range by our GP).

This is really gentle and doesn't irritate my baby's skin at all for her bath each night. It's a creamy consistency, and doesn't bubble up as well as some other bath products maybe because it is a bit thicker, but does make some bubbles. The scent is very minimal as it's designed not to irritate. My daughter doesn't have sensitive skin but she is young and as we bath daily it's still nice to use gentle products. I have also heard it recommended by friends who's babies do have excema and apparently their doctors are even recommending this. The negative point is that it doesn't dissolve as easily into the water compared to other aveeno baby wash we used,so you have to really mix it up in the water to get the cream to break down into the water

I have a five year old prone to excema and am finding Aveeno products excellent in avoiding breakouts. Very moisturinsing. In fact I have very sensitive skin and am using it as a face wash. Its brilliant. It's no sting as well and has oatmeal in it which is supposed to help restore a skin to its normal ph balance. Oatmeal is also known as having a soothing effect on sensitive skin which is why it is an ingredient in so many soaps. It also has moisturising and protective benefits.Whilst it does not have added perfume the wash has a very delicate smell vaguely baby herbal smell. With this one you put a little in your hands or on a flannel and apply to the child rather than putting the wash intothe water.Highly Recommended.

I am really enjoying using the Aveeno line of products with my toddler at the moment.I know they are aimed at baby's but they are ideal for your toddler. This soothing Relief Emollient wash has come at the perfect time for us.My son has just come out in chicken pox andI had read/heard/dreamt that oats can be soothing. I couldn't believe my luck with the timing of getting the chance to test this. You don't need much and it lathers well. It is subtle and gentle and when drying my son it left skin soft and well moisturised. I'm going to pick some more up and use it when needed for my son.Really impressed with this having tried other Emollients when my son was younger. This has been the best I have tried.

I know it's for baby skin but I love it too. Sometimes as part of my Coeliac Disease I get sore cracked skin and little blisters here and there and I find this is a soothing emollient wash for me when often other products can sting a little. It is like having a bath in moisturiser. Take care when first using the product as you don't need as much as you think you do especially if you are using on a children's skin - a little goes a long way. The wash is definitely soothing, it does exactly what it says it will do. I also found, after two C-sections that I got a rash from the drugs used and found this to be good at those times as well. Lasts a long time,is kind to your skin and leaves you feeling great.

I have very sore sensitive skin on occasion, and whilst I'm not a fan of Aveeno overall for eczema/dermatitis and I have other stuff for use on my daughters personally this stuff is really good for me when the dermatitis is flaring. It's not a one-application fix, but more of a support system whilst the healing is taking place and reducing the potential irritation from soap products.I've been using this to deal with stress induced dermatitis which extends into my scalp. This I used as a shampoo too and it gave me relief to wash my hair without worse reaction which can happen with other even SLS free shampoos. So this is my new go-to whilst sore.

A smooth, gentle, creamy babywash that is kind on sensitive skin. Since birth, my granddaughter has been prone to skin rashes if her skin is in contact with anything even slightly harsh and we have to be very careful only to use the most gentle of products. For the first few weeks water only was used, but as time progressed a gentle babywash was needed for her bath. This Aveeno baby wash is ideal, it does not bring her out in a rash, cleans her skin and leaves it soft and soothed. Having used Johnson and Johnson's products for many years I find this babywash continues their tradition of good quality, well-tested products at a fair price.

Excellent! I usually use Hipp organic which is very nice and smells lovely but my baby had a few dry patches of skin on her legs and arms so I bought this and added a little to her bath and the dry skin completely vanished after just a few days. I stopped using it after getting some hipp bubble bath for Christmas and the dry patches came back so it is definitely the Aveeno making the difference. Would highly recommend for dry/sensitive skin- I also use it myself as my skin is very sensitive. It’s a very soothing thick creamy wash. Only downside is it is a little hard to squeeze out of the bottle, probably because it’s so thick!

We have used this ourselves and not for a baby as we both like the Aveeno brand. It leaves the skin soft and clean without any irritation after a good scrub. It's good to relieve dry skin and although it's tear and soap free as well as unscented, it still has a pleasant special fresh "Aveeno smell".It feels oily on the skin when applied, but it's easy to rinse off and does not feel oily afterwards although it leaves the skin feeling softer also after the shower, so it's a product we are likely to use again in the future to avoid all the bad stuff that is often present in adult wash products.
