Bought in black. The jacket material is smooth yet durable and tough, the strength of the material being hidden by the sleek looks. The cuff adjusters work brilliantly, while the collar does up to the chin - and forms a nice tight seal when worn with a hooded fleece or similar underneath. I wore this in every type of bad weather in Ireland recently; rain, snow and hail all bounced off the fabric and even the cold wind off the Irish sea couldn’t get through.The jacket is essentially a very light-weight piece which serves as heavyweight protection against the elements. I can’t recommend it enough.

Beta SL Hybrid Gore-tex jacket is one of the best hardshell jacket for hiking and traveling. I'm satisfied with its quality and lightweight. The detail of the jacket worth every penny on it. It's better than zeta sl, and beta sl, because there are extra zip sliders and stronger material used on parts which worn frequently.

First hike out in the rain then hail and snow: great product! Perfect and waterproof cut even in snowy weather. I measure 1m88 for 80 kg Size M nickel that can accommodate a fleece or a down jacket if necessary. To see now on the duration but I do not worry too much with a brand like Arcteryx.
