My fish have just been moved over from a 50 L tank to a 189 L tank and this filter really does the job it says on the tin. The fish love the bubbles effect and swim back and forth, playing in the water flow, almost like having a shower! If the air flow is set to high then it might be considered my some to be noisy but it doesn't bother me and doesn't seem to bother the fish! With the pump in place it took only 2 days to condition the new tank and bring the water up to the required nutrient levels. Some of the reviewers mentioned that the filter was awkward to put together but I didn't find this, following the images on the box and in the 'instructions' (one small paragraph)

I like this product because it does a very good job, despite some that say that it is not easy to put together and the filter is not easy to change, I have found no problems at all, it's very good at what it is designed to do and the price for this type of filter it is excellent, you can also just use it for a water filter or a bio and water filter depending on the configuration you require, you can add on extra filtration canisters, this 500 filter can cope with up to 150 litre tank. No issues with this product.

This is a superb filter for the price and beats the other internal filters i have used before with ease. The modular nature of the filter and ease of adjustment of the flow rate and direction of the outflow is unique (you can pack the filter with biological ceramic rings or products like seachem's purigen in appropriate mesh bags). This product really does have the high turnover quoted required for high-waste producing fish like fancy goldfish/ discus.Would but this product again.

Hi all.I dont actually use this filter for its main use which is filtering the water. I use it for adding stuff like Purigen, Rowaphos etc. I just put it in a Muslin bag and insert it into the top prt of the filter where the bio media shuld be normally added. This pushes the water through it better than just hanging the bag in the aquarium water.On a separate note when originally doing this review how can you rate it for 'Sheerness' and 'thickness'

Sleek, efficient and contemporary design, and it runs of only 4 watts. Aerates the water with adjustable valve for refining. Performance is excellent, when I clean it in a used bucket of water I can see all the debris come out. Aeration function does add to the noise if you choose to use it but with the adjustment valve you'll be able to fine tune it so that its acoustically aesthetic to your ears

As I opened the box and took it in my hand the filter, I noticed a a sound which seamed something inside the filter. As I opened it, saw the filter has been damaged,looks like has been punched with a tool or something else..I'm wondering how 3lse could be happened, in that place,the bottom of the filter. Unpleasant finding.Has not been used before, I was due assembling all together prior to use.

Once fitted together it was simple to operate, the instructions are poor so had to look at the picture as it says you can attached different parts if you like! Well I prefer to fit it all to be on the safe side. Nice touch with air bubbles and the unit looks easier to clean but time will tell. The unit is quite until you put the bubbles on but to be honest you get used to it.

Good powerful filter using it as a secondary filter in my RIO 240 litre, as I have 4 figure 8 puffers that are messy eaters. Be aware that it is big, and powerful although you can adjust the flow, the only minor problem is the instructions are pretty poor, saying that it's easy enough to set up, and the power lead is short so you have to have it very near to a power source.

No complaints, it's doing a grand job in my 200l tank which houses two massive shubunkins and two of their babies - plus 3 cleaner fish and THEIR babies. don't ask me how this is all happening, I'm not trying to breed anything!! Anyway, the filter must be doing something right as they're all one big happy family.

Great design, very sturdy unit and much quieter than other similar systems I've used. Out of the box basically everything clicks together and is in the tank working in a couple of minutes. It provides excellent aeration and circulation...

A great biological filter for a tropical or coldwatee aquarium.I use it in conjunction with another internal filter.A great value am nd good quality product. Fairly easy to assemble and for into tank.A good product

Really impressive. Sucker cups hold it tightly onto my tank. It pumps at a decent rate. Seems to filter well too. All the sections fit tightly together so they don't fall off and float away. Great filter overall!

All in all a great product a bit fiddly at first but I have crystal clear water and itsex 's so quiet perhaps a better flow adjustment instead of just a little one but it still does what it says on the Tin

product as described,everything works, the problem with the courier did not even ring, he left it at the door as if he died, I would not get a refund because he would have indicated that it was received
