We have used Dyson vacuum cleaners for over 10 years. Every now and then they break down, need repairing and can be a bit temperamental, but Dyson customer service is second to none and the cleaner always comes back either fixed or they give you a brand new product. I have tested 5 over vacuum cleaners for the Vine programme and all of them have been VAX, which I find inferior in every way to Dyson, but priced at an average of a £100 lower than the comparable Dyson. If I was buying another vacuum cleaner, then I would probably put my money into a Dyson because of the customer service. When this cleaner was offered to me via the Vine programme, I jumped at the chance to try a new brand, without risking my own money. My first impression on receiving the cleaner, was that it looked well made but only comes with a 2 year guarantee, Dyson has a 5 year and VAX is a 6 year guarantee. Just to put it into context, VAX may have a 6 year guarantee, but when a part went after only 4 weeks of use, they could not care less and refused to do anything. You can put a long guarantee on anything, but if you refuse to do anything, then whats the value of such a guarantee? I must say, having only a 2 year guarantee would put me off buying this, with my own money. I have no previous knowledge of how good Polti as a brand is and if I was advising this company (I am a business consultant) I would encourage them to match the Dyson guarantee and service, to get the brand established in the UK. So first impressions were OK to good. When it came to using and testing this cleaner, it becomes obvious that there have been some corners cut in terms of manufacturing/design quality. Firstly, as the another reviewer found, the attachments push on but do not click in place. The Dyson attachments click in place, a small but functional difference. The quality of the attachments are cheaply made compared to Dyson, but on a par with VAX. Overall it is obvious there has been some cost cutting compared with the Dyson products we already own. Before I trash this product we must put it in context, the similar Dyson retails at around £229.99 and this can be had for as little as £109.99 on the net, a difference of £120, so there are bound to be differences between the two.So how does this vacuum actually clean? It uses "Multi-cyclonic technology" which generates 280 air Watts so it is quite powerful. This is not on the same level as lets say an upright Vax vacuum that can generate 320 air watts, but there again this is a small compact lightweight vacuum that weighs 5.5Kg as opposed to 6.5kg for an upright one. Simply put, this is a small compact vacuum that cannot be compared to a fully functioning upright hoover and as such it does a pretty good job. It cleaned virtually everything we used it for, without too much effort. With this model there is an Antibacterial HEPA Media Filter included, which filters out and reduces bacteria, allergens and pet-related odours. This is something that our aforementioned Dyson hoovers did not have and the filter does work very well. On the top of the brush is a remote control unit, which requires batteries. This is very clever, as you can control the hoover's functions, without bending down, ideal for someone with back problems. So overall, this is a small, lightweight cleaner. It has excellent 700 W suction, but lacks some of the refinements of Dyson quality. For me, it is far better than any VAX product I have tested. This is an important point, as its priced to compete with the VAX and not the Dyson. It is about £120 cheaper than the Dyson equivalent, so I can understand why the tools look a bit on the cheap. To compare this to an upright Hoover is a bit unfair, as it is small, lightweight and compact. It is my second compact hoover and it is my first Polti product. At the price of £129.99, I think this product offers outstanding suction, but with only a 2 year warranty and an unknown brand, I would approach this brand with a bit of caution, as I do not know how good this product will be in the long term. I will say it again, I think Polti has made a mistake offering only a 2 year guarantee when they are such an unknown quantity. If you are paying anywhere near Dyson prices for this product, then I would buy a Dyson, but at £120 less than the Dyson, it is a lightweight bargain and feels better than a VAX.At the price of £129.99 I am happy to cautiously recommend this product.

Having been a Dyson user for a number of years I was keen to try an alternative with a more pleasing price tag and on opening the box I was pleasantly surprised by the number of varying 'heads' to cater for different surfaces. The design of the vacuum was good and it looked smart (I had been concerned that it might look rather plastic and cheap in comparison to a Dyson, given the price). It also included an instruction manual and batteries to operate the remote control handle, although the box had said that these were not included. I was initially a bit baffled by the battery element of the remote control as you do feel that this should be operated through the mains power rather than batteries, but rechargeable batteries are the obvious solution.I did not find the instructions particularly useful as it was not very detailed and the diagrams were quite small. It was very easy to get started though so they were not necessary.I was quite eager to try the turbo brush attachment, which promised a 'deep cleaning action'. I must say I was impressed! We have a cream carpet in our lounge which seems to attract hair and grass like it needs them to survive, and after a once over with the turbo brush it looked immaculate. It also didn't feel like too much effort; sometimes I feel like I'm doing a mini workout when vacuuming the lounge, yet this time I didn't break a sweat.Following the success of the turbo brush on the carpet I moved on to the other attachments. I tried the two position floor brush on the kitchen tiles and on the first setting it didn't quite feel right and I became concerned that I may scratch the floor. Once I changed the setting (tap on a foot pedal) the bristles came down and it felt much better. I also tried the parquet brush included and this was the best solution for both the tiles in the kitchen and the parquet flooring in our hall.I hate vacuuming stairs as I find them rather awkward if you do not have an appropriate attachment. On these I tried the mini turbo brush and was pleased with the results. It didn't quite get in all the corners but it had a good go, and I was able to use the smaller attachments to finish it off (suction nozzle or lance). We have an oak dining table with a groove around it which picks up food very easily when you eat on it every day. I used the suction lance on this and it cleared it out completely.Overall I was very impressed with the vacuum cleaner; it is easy to move around, and I like having the remote control handle which means I don't have to keep bending down to turn it on and off. The suction felt very powerful and emptying the cylinder was straightforward. The amount of attachments really does mean that it can cater for every surface (well at least the ones in my house) and they all worked well and as they implied they would.Only a couple of draw backs....there is nowhere to put the other attachments when you are not using them. This is pretty insignificant but previous vacuums I've used have provided space for them to hook on to the tube so that they're handy when you want them, although to be fair this does include a lot more attachments than I've had with my previous vacuums so I suppose room is an issue. Also the cable is not as long as some other vacuums I've used, which meant that I kept having to unplug when it as I moved round the house.Personally, I thought this was an excellent (cheaper) alternative to the Dyson and represented good value for money given its efficiency and performance

The Polti Forzaspira MC330 Turbo Bagless Cylinder Vacuum Cleaner came well packed. When opened you’ll find that the box contains the Forzaspira MC330, the instruction booklet plus the following accessories :- Two-position floor brush, Parquet brush, Suction lance, Suction nozzle, Soft-bristled dust brush, Telescopic tube, Turbo brush, and Mini turbo brush. The Multi-Cyclonic Bagless Cylinder Vacuum Cleaner 1.8 litre 700 Watt also comes with a 2 Year Warranty, (collect repair and return or replace). The dimensions are (mm): W 400 x D 250 x H 350.This vacuum cleaner has high energy efficiency that gives a high performance and I can honestly say it’s got far better suction then our old upright bagless vacuum.Plus its Energy class A, (so should be kinder on the electricity bills). It has a four stage filtration system with a filter which picks up extremely fine dust, the EPA filter is also washable. :-)This vacuum has a removable dirt collection tank which can easily be removed to be cleaned. The No-Touch system allows to empty the tank without touching the dirt. The handle has an integrated remote control, (this takes two AAA batteries). This way you can alter the suction power with the infra-red remote control so there’s no need to bend down. :-)You have an automatic cable winder which is great, so there’s no need to bend down for this either, (the cable also has two piece of coloured tape on it, the first is yellow which is telling you your almost at the end of the cable, the second colour is red meaning don’t try and pull the cable out anymore as there is none left). The vacuum cleaner also has a parking system, so if you want to take a break all you have to do is hook the tube in the lower holster. I found that a great help especially if you have to answer the front door or phone. :-)The Polti Forzaspira MC330 is extremely easy to put together and it’s extremely easy to clean. :-)We’ve used all the different accessories and we’ve had great results especially when it’s been hoovering up pet hair, (we have two long haired dogs). We’ve used the Polti Forzaspira MC330 Turbo Bagless Cylinder Vacuum Cleaner on different surfaces they are: - a tiled floor, wooden floor, linoleum, carpet tiles, a living room carpet and bedroom carpet, (both were made of different fibres and the living carpet had a thicker pile), and a rug. The suction was excellent on all the different surfaces and did a great job. :-)I’ve only found two drawbacks with this, the first is the instruction booklet, at the front there are black and white photos of all the different parts, and some are very tiny and hard to see what they are on about. I would have like larger photos so you could see the detail properly. The second drawback is the cable isn’t that long, for example I was hoovering the dining room, (it’s not a big room) which is right next to the living room and when I carried on hoovering in the living room I could only hoover to about the middle of the room, so it meant I’d to unplug it and plug into a living room socket, (cable is only long enough for it to be in one room, (my old upright cable is far longer than that).Personally I found the Polti Forzaspira MC330 Turbo Bagless Cylinder Vacuum Cleaner to be a great little hoover and I love it. :-)

Overall, this is a great little cylinder vacuum, it will never be a Dyson nor a upright but it does a really good job, sucks well and has a number of different brushes to adapt to different floors. Polti is an established Italian brand that have prompted some women on mum forums to express a desire to marry their Polti steam cleaners so their vacuum cleaner was worth a try, I've previously turned down opportunities to review vax products after a terrible experience.I have used a Dyson Animal cylinder since 2009 and it's still going, and so do I believe in the sentiment that Dyson does this cyclone based vacuum best, however, they are incredibly expensive and whilst worth it,not always achievable. If you can't afford or justify a Dyson but want a decent cyclone vacuum that will do the job then this really fills the bill. Yes, it is a slightly cheaper build with push-in rather than click-in attachments but it is still no-touch emptying, it's a light compact build and has pretty good if not superior suction for the price bracket. It comes with a number of different attachments the typical 'big head' the lance and the upholstery brush. However it also includes a turbo brush with rotating stiff brushes to revive your carpet and deep clean, an upholstery turbo brush (which is dynamite for dog hair on the sofa) and a delicate broom-like brush for parquet or similarly delicate wooden surfaces. My mum is enamoured with the delicate brush as my Dyson has scratched our wooden floors so mum resorted to a broom, this is brilliant, delicate enough not to scratch the floors but gets all the dust and fluff up and out of the joins, this will be permanent in our house now if only for this purpose! The remote in the handle takes two AAAs and is great for those jobs where you might have to move things constantly or adjust as you go along as once popped on the vacuum body, you can use the remote to 'pause' and start again or lower the speed to do the curtains. This is also a great thing for those with mobility issues to prevent constantly bending up and down.My quibbles? It comes with these great extra heads, but doesn't come with a storage solution for them and we know deep down they will be lobbed in a cupboard or under the stairs to be forgotten if not sorted nicely! A simple handled box to carry from room to room or store for the extra heads would have completed the product, but probably added to its price.Other consumers who are downsizing from a Dyson will see compromises on build and power but those upgrading from budget options will see improvement so in a way these differences are relative but should be considered if you are used to a top-end model. That said, it cleaned up our hallway just as good as the Dyson animal (admittedly a bit older!) and has the same HEPA filters so it's not an awful vacuum by any means, just a cheaper build.Overall, this is a great little cylinder vacuum superior in its price range that delivers as long as you're not expecting top of the line build and guarantee and I don't feel as overwhlemed by it as some women feel about the brand's steam cleaners.

Polti Forzaspira MC330 Turbo Bagless Cylinder is a good working vacuum cleaner which has good suction power which equals nice cleans floors. In this household we have two long haired dogs therefore the hoover would be our main cleaner and would usually need to be used 2-3 times per day. Therefore this hoover is a good one to use mainly because it is not overly heavy to transport around the household. What makes this hoover different from other ones is the "remote control" which is basically a section where you control the on/off switch plus the suction. Regarding the remote control section I found this useful in one way but cumbersome in another.I liked the fact I did not have to bend constantly to switch the machine on/off plus I was able to control the suction power with a quick touch of a button. The remote control needed two AAA batteries which I feel this might put a lot of customers off as there are enough devices already in the household which needs batteries without having to provide for a cleaning instrument which should be totally powered by electric or even be able to be charged up. Though the fact that rechargeable battery could be the solution to this. I like the fact the suction can be controlled using the hand controller which means I can hoover my throw mats easily and quickly then easily turn the suction up to a stronger control for my fitted carpets. The most important part of this hoover is the terrific suction and within seconds the dog hair which I put down myself to see how well the hoover actually worked was immediately sucked up by the hoover head. The actual hoover has a few separate heads to change to suit your own individual needs and these are easily changed with a quick click and switch of the separate heads. The turbo head is my favourite as it quickly cleans my carpets. The carpet pile was immediately looking fresh and clean which for me makes this a terrific hoover. This is a great working hoover which is made to last with good strong plastic which clip together without much hesitation. The entire construction is made from a strong plastic with a metal extension included for reaching those hard to reach areas.I am happy to recommend the Polti Forzaspira MC330 Turbo Bagless Cylinder hoover as a great working hoover and as an owner of other electrical devices made by this company they do make a product which lasts.

I must confess that I had never heard of the Polti brand before (more a reflection on me than on them I am sure). And as my ageing Vax - which is a huge upright monster is showing signs of getting past its best this came at a good time. The first thing I noted is just how light the main cleaner unit is. Easy to carry and easy to manoeuvre. The hose with the control handle clips into the front of the cleaner and the hose is then extended by a lance which is itself adjustable so you should be able to get the right length to make things comfortable for you to use this. The cleaner comes with an array of different heads (a standard one, a turbo one, a parquet floors one and a small pet hair one. There are also two smaller attachments which clip neatly on to the side of the machine. The suction power is adjustable to one of three settings with the lesser ones recommended for things like curtains. The handle of the lance also contains a remote control unit to enable control of on/off and the suction power. This saves bending down to make adjustments. I wasn't convinced that it was really necessary but as soon as I started using the machine I defaulted to using the remote control. In use I found that the turbo head did a splendid job on getting the bedroom carpet clean (and collected lots of dog hairs in the process). The bagless unit isn't very large so if you have a large property you might find it needs emptying during cleaning. I don't have a large property and despite the dog hairs was able to do the whole house without needing to empty the collection unit. I did empty it for testing purposes. It unclips easily from the main body (using the large silver coloured lever in the centre at the rear to release it). And then once at the bin press the button on the retaining clip and the whole of the bottom flips open. This is a wide opening so make sure you do have it far enough over the bin.Once finished and unplugged you press a button and the cable will retract into the body of the machine. The only minor niggle is that the cable isn't very long. This is offset to a degree because the lance adds substantial reach, but there were one or two areas which I struggled to reach (perhaps the sockets haven't been well located). But it is a very minor point and does not affect my overall rating of a very good piece of kit at a competitive price.

The Polti Forzaspira MC330 is a bagless, cyclonic vacuum cleaner.Set up is quick and easy. There is an instruction book included with this but it is poor, with tiny pictures and little explanation.Build quality is okay but not top class, lots of plastic clip together bits, only time will tell how longthis will last.Suction is incredibly strong very impressive and this vacuum certainly cleans very well. There is the usual selection of tools included. All of the bits either clip or just push into place. The main handle has a control panel on it.This requires 2 AAA batteries to operate which the instructions say are not included but were with mine. After plugging into the mains, you must operate the main on/off switch on the body to power up.Once this is done the remote controls on the handle will operate the unit.A small niggle for me is that i have quite big hands and i like to grab the handle firmly up the grip.I found that i accidentally kept turning the Polti off by catching the "Pause" button with my hand. After some practice it was fine.To empty just unclip the dust cylinder tank (Easy) hold over a bin and release the clip on the tank. Now the blurb states that it has a "No Touch" system when you empty the dust tank. The door of the dust tank which drops open to empty is dome shaped and dust falls into and collectsin the inside of the dome and i found that i did get dust on and over me when i had to clean this out as well.I have a Dyson cyclonic and its door is perfectly flat, simple but perfect.Overall this cleaner does work well and the suction is superb. It really does clean which is the point. However the tank emptying is not as well thought through as it should be.Maintenance is easy, the whole thing comes apart without difficulty and the filters are easy to clean. In conclusion i quite like this and am continuing to use the Polti.Would i buy, from experience i think the Dyson vacuums are superior but are more expensive. The plolti represents good value and on a budget, yes i would buy one. If i had some spare cash and could affordto spend more it might be worth exploring other makes.

I’ve owned Dyson, VAX, Hoover, all sorts of makes but never had or even seen a Polti Vacuum Cleaner, I am familiar with the Polti Steam Generator, many moons ago I used to sell them, and still own one and think there amazing so had high hope for this.Been a while since I had a cylinder pull along, I’ve had uprights for a long time, I used someones Henry and while ago and thought it was great, especially in my car and van, thought got to et one.Build quality is very good, Its what I expected, the polti vaporetto steam cleaner they sell are I think the best on the market, best build etc.The Polti comes with lots of extras, 2-position floor brush, Parquet brush, Suction lance, Suction nozzle,Soft-bristled dust brush, Telescopic tube, Turbo brush and Mini turbo brush, its bagless using the Cyclonic technology which is efficient and generates very good suction. The Polti will be compared to the Dyson as it has been in may of the reviews, I’ve had Dyson’s, the first DCO1 model was ground breaking, so was the first cylinder DCO2 but since moving production abroad there not as reliable and mega buckets, so there is no comparison to the Polti, the Polti is less the £130, Dyson’s are nearly three time that price. The suction is excellent on the polti, I’m really pleased with how it gets the dog hairs from the carpet in my van, the length of tubing makes it easy to get to the deep in places, the tools are easy to pop on and off.It pulls very easy, its not to heavy, which helps moving it about. The remote control on the handle is a great addition your need a couple of batteries for that.I’m very happy with this cylinder cleaner, has great suction, bagless, lots of tools, and works a treat.

Ordinarily when you review a vacuum cleaner you pretty much need to say how easy it is to use and how well it sucks. In the case of this one there is so much more to it than that. The first thing you notice when opening the box is that it contains a lot of accessories. Unwrapping the hoover, it looks sleek, clean and modern. It is very easy to add the relevant attachments and in seconds you are good to go. The electrical lead is retractable so you can unroll as much or as little as you want. It retracts quickly and easily when you are finished. Now on to whether it works. I can assure you that it does everything you ask of a vacuum cleaner and more. I love the fact there is a remote control in the handle. This can switch the appliance on or off, and boost or reduce the suction. This is good if you are trying to do a delicate job such as removing dust from curtains. There were two batteries for the remote control in with the appliance but these did not work. I'm not sure how long they had been in there. There is an attachment for every conceivable job, including delicates, a turbo brush fro carpets and also parquet flooring. It does take a little while to figure out what each of them does. The instructions are not the most intuitive I have seen.Overall this is a fantastic product, which does exactly what it says. It is also a good price for such a versatile machine. I have no hesitation in higly recommending this product.

Heard of Polti? Probably not but a quick check and they have been around for 35 years now producing good quality household machines. The vacuum market has long since passed its ubiquitous Hoover days to be replaced by the Dysonites and whilst that bagless tech is nothing new most runner up brands now employ it. What will make the Polti win out? For most that's an easy call - price. And on price it is certainly competitive if the few hundred pound Dyson's cause a payday wince but does it match on performance. The answer is a simple yes. The Polti packs a serious suck for its lightweight size. Perfect for the frailer and easy for the stairs. In a direct comparison with a Dyson upright it was more maneuverable and seemed more effective at carpet sweeping. The wand controls are handy too but could easily have been left off to improve the price still further. Easy to empty as most of these machine tend to be but not the biggest storage but you'd have to have a sizable estate to need to empty it mid clean. Attachments are the standard set but though they do stay in place they don't feel as secure as perhaps they could.A smart machine, well priced and light. For those that prefer the cylinder style, easily as good as any other equivalent out there for the standard home - anything more rigorous then it'd have to be a Henry - and on that basis why spend any more?

There's a lot to like about this neat compact vacuum, it comes with all the accessories you need and has some very nice featuresIncluded are1 x 2-position floor brush1 x Parquet brush1 x Soft-bristled dust brush1 x Telescopic tube1 x Turbo brush1 x Mini turbo brush1 x Instruction bookletPutting it together took no time at all, the instruction booklet is clear and well laid out.Its quiet and its light which makes it easy to move around. and the suction is really impressive. There's a remote control on the hose handle for on/off increase/decrease suction which is brilliant idea and very useful especially when doing the stairs. It also has a cord rewind. I love the hard floor brush head, its compact size makes it easy to manoeuvre and get into small spaces. There really is a lot to recommend about this vacuum, the manufacturer of which until now I've only heard of in relation to steam cleaners and at the price, its an absolute bargain!Very Highly recommended

I was sceptical about it but knowing that their irons are absolutely outstanding, I thought I'd give it a try. Great little cleaner, powerful suction. Fab modern colour and design. Good range of attachments, easy to empty and the controls on the handle saves all the bending down. There are a few things that stopped me from giving it 5 stars. The lead is way too short, you can just about manage to do a standard size roo. Admittedly my last cleaner had a 13 metre range. The cleaning head is too light for the powerful suction. The back wheels need to rotate freely rather than fixed as sometimes the cleaner tips over when you're pulling it around. This is the perfect cleaner for a flat or small house.Despite these I'm pleased with my purchase.

This is a pretty good vacuum.First thing you notice is it's a little cheap and plasticky. It lacks the robust/build quality of Vax or Dyson.Everything fits in as it should and connections feel solid. There are 3 different heads for cleaning on different surfaces, and nozzles that attach to the body. Has a nice long cord. The hose is also nice and long, although not quite long enough for my stairs. It sucks and cleans really well, and is quite light and portable. The best bit is the "remote" on the handle; a great innovation that allows you to turn on and off or adjust the power from the handle. A great innovation!Overall, it's light, hoovers well, and is decent enough.A pretty good budget buy.

So far, this is the best vacuum cleaner I have ever had. We had an upright Dyson for 11 years and when it broke down we bought a Zanussi which we had to return after a couple of months due to lack of suction. We were a bit unsure about trying an unknown and untested brand but all I can say is "wow". Happier with this than I ever was with the Dyson. I Have to turn the suction down as it is so powerful, even when the cylinder is full. The built in handle is great to use and so comfortable, giving the feel of an upright. It was a little bit messy to empty the cylinder due to the design but for the price and suction power the positives far outweigh this little negative.

This is a great vacuum cleaner at a very affordable price. In my house we go through vacuums very quickly - mainly because my husband doesn't bother with any kind of floor clearing before hoovering - so we've destroyed more high-end vacuums than I'd care to admit. That's why we tend towards the cheaper models these days - and for my money this vacuum is just as reliable & effective as those with heftier price tags. This model is compact, easy to move around and really easy to empty with minimal mess. For my money, this is a great buy.
