Currently using these alongside 'Swimfin' for my 2 year old. He loves going in the swimming pool and is reasonably confident in the water, even though he isn't able to swim yet. He wants his independence and using both of these things together has worked really for him - he is able to move around freely in the water and practice swimming techniques. We have tried only using the 'Swimfin' and only using the armbands, but alone they don't give him enough buoyancy and support. They are more comfortable than inflatables, as my little one didn't like the tightening feeling of his inflatable armbands inflating. Another added bonus is you don't have to spend time inflating and re-inflating these like you do with other armbands and worrying about punctures.

Ordered while on holiday to replace air armbands and they provide good floatation are much easier and good quality. The only complaint was difficulty pushing in the additional air valves.

Different type of armbands, they kept sliding down all the time but defo better then the usual type
