I have tried the cheaper brands, but in my experience, this is money down the drain, as they are liable to tear and puncture easily, and in many cases, the seams have quite a sharp edge. Zoggs bands, on the other hand, have many good features, which make them my brand of choice. Here is a rundown of the main features of these armbands:1: High visibilityThe bands, as you can see in the picure, are a very bright orange colour. If your kids like to be quite independent when they go swimming, it is easy to keep an eye on them if they are wearing these brightly coloured bands, whereas cheaper bands usually just have patterns or TV characters on, and are not particularly bright. The pool lifeguards will also be able to keep a better eye on your child, although obviously, the child's safety is primarily your responsibility.2: DurableThese bands are made from a patented material called Vylux, which will not puncture or tear easily. This also means that the mands will last for many years, if looked after, and can be passed on to other children when your child has finished with them. This is a lot more cost effective than buying lots of cheap pairs of armbands. This said, I did have a problem with the bands when my curious cat got hold of them and decided to stick her sharp claws in one of them. Even heavy duty Vylux, is not designed to withstand cats claws, so pet owners, be warned! I can hardly mark the bands down for this though, as it was my fault for not keeping them out of reach of the cat. As I say, these will last a long time if you are sensible with them!3: Nice fitUnlike some bands that inflate all the way around, and can chafe the child's arms, the Zoggs bands have a flat part that goes under the arm, and just the upper part of the bands inflate. Obviously, this is a lot more comfortable for the child to wear over a prolonged period in the water. The seams are not sharp.4: Double air chambersEach band has two seperate air chambers, so this gives you a lot of control over how much you inflate them. If your child is improving with swimming, you could just inflate one of the chambers. The bands also have the non return type air valve, which means that when you blow into them and stop to take a breath, you don't lose all of the air back out of the hole. As I have asthma, this is a big benefit for me, and I have never got breathless inflating these bands! These armbands have really helped my children with their confidence in the water. My two oldest kids are now competent swimmers, despite the fact that we don't really go swimming very often. The bands give excellent buoyancy in the water, and the child doesn't have to worry about sinking if you let go of them. My youngest still uses the bands occasionaly, but I have recently bought him a swim jacket, in the hope that he will take the next step towards being more confident in the water. The Zoggs bands have served me well and lasted a long time, so I consider them a worthwhile investment for young kids earning to swim. They are easy to clean with just a wipe, and easy to deflate, though I found it more practical to keep them inflated. I would recommend these highly.

The Zoggs float bands feel really good quality and are easy enough to inflate and deflate – squeeze them with your mouth to inflate and the air is blocked when let go so don’t start to deflate. There are 2 chambers on both bands fitting my 1 year old perfectly but will fit up to 3 years / max weight of 15kg. They are pretty standard in terms of arm bands – I like the design with the inner part not quite as wide offering a little flexibility and are covered in warnings to fully inflate and make sure they are used with supervision. They did take him a little bit of getting used to but is now quite happy to wear them and splash around and build up confidence in the water.

I bought these for my twelve month old granddaughter who loves the water. We put them on her half blown up (as too difficult fully blown up) and blew them up fully in situ. She very quickly realised that they supported her head above the water and was off! We were at centre parks in the baby pool that does not get deeper than 18 inches and she was virtually swimming in the deeper areas. (Of course we were nearby all the time.) When choosing the size go by weight not age, as 1-3 years would have been too big.

I bought these for my smallish five-and-a-half year old son having had various terrible arm bands that were really hard to blow up, or badly fitting. These however were great. Good quality, strong - easy to deflate too.He was happy to wear them in the pool on holiday. I like the orange design, they're sporty looking and not too babyish. Definitely recommended, especially in the light of disappointment with previous arm bands (Speedo Sea Squad and Mothercare, I'm looking at you.) Get em bought!

I needed some armbands my for 16 month old little girl as she didn't want to be held whilst in the pool. There are so many mixed reviews on here about these armbands, but they do the job for my little one. They are fairly easy to put on, easy to inflate and appear to be very good quality. They dont fall off in the pool and they keep her afloat really well.Definitely worth buying as I can see the increase in confidence in my little one when she is in the water.

this was brought for a large 14 month (not round large) they were way to big, the double chamber next to each other meant this extended down his arm past the elbow did not look comfortable for his age/size, the measurement of the 1 - 3 years arm band is about 15cm that runs between elbow to armpit when inflated, I hope this helps other people get the right size for their child. i did buy another set from amazon by another well known make that was smaller.

Great price (Half of what they charge at the swimming pool for EXACTLY the same thing (brand for brand), and they do the trick perfectly! I got a 1-3 pair for my 1 and a half-year-old, and some of the 3-6 for my 5 year old. the five-year-old struggles a little with them as they can only hold so much weight, and he doesn't like them being too tight, but the smaller ones are perfect and replaced one of those naff floating suits that we paid 3X as much for!

These water-wings are great for my little two-year-old girl. The only thing is that they can be a little difficult to fill (one of those where you have to squeeze the valve to inflate or deflate). And the valve does not pop back into the armband and stay flush, but sticks out from the armband. But they stay on really well, and there doesn't seem to be any leakage during use. Nice, tough plastic, and the colour is as depicted.

Got these for my son, as they are what they use at his swimming class, and what he had when he was younger.Completely happy with them. The material is thick and durable, and never feels at risk or puncture. The valves are robust and easy to blow into (and to release), and the bands inflate and deflate very quickly. My son finds them comfortable to wear, and they provide excellent buoyancy.Overall, nothing to complain about.

Brought for my 8 year old daughter. She can swim a little but not confident enough for the holiday. She always complained about the tightness of arm bands, so she wasn’t looking forward to wearing them. She tried them on and she was happy as they didn’t squeeze her arms, and still plenty of room in them.Easy to inflate and has the no leak valves so no chasing to get the plug in the hole before it deflated.

We took our just-turned one yr old on holiday and bought him a fancy looking float and a pair of arm bands. The float ended up a waste of time and was slightly dangerous, but the arm bands were a godsend. He loved them and bunny-hopped his way round the little pool as happy as happy could be. He loved that bit of independence and I could stay nearby in the pool but not have to be holding him all the time.

We’re finding we’re using a lot of Zoggs swimming products and they’re giving Speedo a run for their money in our household! These are easy to blow up and deflate afterwards and fit well. It says 1-3 years and they’re a good fit. The two chamber design seems to give plenty of support. I like the plain orange design as it can be happily be used for either a boy or girl. Very happy.

Arrived in good time & of good quality, but we have not tried them out because I ordered size 0-12 months & my granddaughter is 1 years old, it does say that on the packaging but there is no way this can be correct they are far too big & cover her full arm! she will grown into them so I will keep them but should it should not say they are for 0-12!

Traditional armbands seem to have fallen out of favour over recent years and more people use floats, but I think armbands are great on tinies as they give much more freedom. We tried this pair on my niece. They were relatively easy to inflate and she seemed comfortable and happy splashing around, there were no marks on her skin after use.

The best thing I have ever purchased, we use these every time we go swimming and my 2 year old daughter is so confident in the water now. It gave Mom and Dad some freedom while on holiday, of course always watching her, with these arm bands on my daughter could play independently in the baby pool with her toys. Would highly recommend
