I was pleasantly surprised when this arrived that it isn't too large and is quite discreet when in use.I want a Pull Buoy to keep my legs level while I work on improving my freestyle arm technique. I had read that some other Pull Buoys could be extremely large and sometimes offer too much buoyancy which is then counter-productive.This is small enough to fit snugly between the legs and offers a nice amount of buoyancy so that you can keep your legs static and concentrate on the arm movements. Some have said that it didn't offer enough buoyancy but I must admit I found it gave me just a nice amount as you should gain some lift anyway once you gain speed. If your legs are sinking even with this then it could well be an indicator that your stroke needs a lot more work. Having your face and chest properly aligned in the water will naturally lift the legs somewhat anyway and once in motion, this Pull Buoy offers just a nice amount of lift to help swim effectively. An added bonus was that my wife wanted to concentrate on Breaststroke legs and we used this as a normal float for her to hold out in front of her. While not an ideal shape for this, it did work and allowed us to both use it which is great too.Overall I think this is a nice size, comfortable shape and a nice discreet colour that I like.

Took a few goes to get it right but once I knew the technique and the buoy stayed in place I was very impressed at how well this works. My legs have a tendancy to sink when swimming as I over-reach in Freestroke. I watched a few Youtube videos as to how to correct my stroke, and a Pull Buoy was recommended. The idea being that it sits between your legs when swimming and provides enough buoyancy to keep your legs from sinking so you only have to concentrate on your arms. This works really well. It isn't too big, so is quite comfortable to use. I read quite a few reviews for similar products and I didn't see the need to pay more for a Speedo brand than Zoggs, as they are all very similar in materials etc. This I think might be a bit smaller than some of the others (check out the dimensions first), so might be better for smaller adults or children. I bought this because it was half the price of Speedo's and smaller and that was a perfect combination for me. This is also a nice grey/blue colour so isn't so garish in the pool if that would bother you. I am impressed and would recommend.

I spend an hour on Saturday mornings ploughing up and down my local pool in the pursuit of toned shoulders and chiselled pecs. This is a pleasant way to start the weekend, and it is certainly bringing a welcome improvement to my physique and my cardiovascular fitness. However, endless lengths of the swimming pool can get monotonous, so I bought this pull buoy to enable me to vary my routine a bit, and to allow me to concentrate on working my upper body. It works very well in that respect. The annoying fact that my wife keeps nicking it off the side of the pool to use herself is another testament to its usefulness. It has a contoured shape which allows it to be gripped securely between the legs, and which also makes it pleasingly chunky and tactile. The blue and yellow colour scheme is more garish than my tastes would normally lead me to choose, but the primary colours evoke pleasant childhood memories of splashing about with brightly coloured aquatic toys.On the whole, I'm glad I bought it.

I swim several times a week and for as long as I can recall have always used a pull buoy as part of my routine. Not only does it help break up the monotony of training (by adding a bit of variety to strokes) a pull buoy really does effectively isolate and work the upper body area harder by keeping your legs still. There are many pull buoys to choose from (make and design-wise) and, having used a fair few of them in my time I can say that they all essentially perform the same function with little, if any, difference in feel or effectiveness. So, the only considerations for me really are colour/design and the price. This Zoggs model scores well in both respects: it's attractively designed, sturdy and remains snugly in place when in use. It's also good value compared to the very similarly-priced - but to my mind - more garishly designed but popular

As a retired competitive international swimmer, Pull Buoys where and still are an important part of my swimming routine. They really do help improve upper-body strength and allow you to concentrate on arm/hand technique rather than worrying about your legs sinking. I find this particular buoy better than others I've tried over the years as this is slightly smaller and is a bit more streamlined. In addition to using this Buoy, I use a set of hand paddles, as not only do you get a boost of speed (and an extra arm workout) but they are also one of the most important aids for perfecting stroke technique. I personally split between the streamlined Speedo Fastskin Hand Paddles (better for technique)and the wider Speedo BioFuse Power Hand Paddles (better for strength).

I really like Zoggs for my swimming training products. I find their fins are the most comfortable by miles and I’ve become a fan. This pull buoy is ideal when isolating the legs when you are exclusively training upper body. I really like this design to this. It feels comfortable and doesn’t slip much. In fact it’s now replaced my trusted Speedo pull buoy as my number one choice for training. At under a tenner it also wins on price. Recommended.

This is a hard buoy designed to help you train your upper body whilst swimming. It is a comfortable fit and easy to care for - just rinse after use. Keeping in a mesh bag is recommended between uses, so it would have been great had one been included, albeit not a deal breaker.

I used pull buoys at a swimming class and found them very useful. The Zoggs pull buoy is brilliant at keeping my legs and rear afloat while I concentrate on getting my arms and breathing right for front crawl.

Ideal for swimming when you don't want to use your legs too much - I have arthritic knees and this is excellent for letting me swim, keeping me buoyant and saving my knees for walking! Highly recommended.

Not much you can say about the product really, does what it says on the tin. Its an essential tool for training in pool and is a really good shape to sit comfortably while you swim.
