Please note this product is a complementary cat food, not a complete one. That is, it does not contain added Taurine (an essential amino acid for cats) or extra vitamins. Therefore this food should only be given as a treat now and again. The main food for your cat should be a complete one. Most supermarket cat foods, while complete, contain poor quality meat, and usually very little of that. They tend to be full of cereals and/or soya, which cats in a natural environment would hardly ever eat.Best buy a high-meat complete food, made from quality meats. Few supermarkets offer these and you normally need to get them from the internet or order from pet shops. If I had to recommend one,I would suggest Bozita, a super premium complete cat food. When I got my cat onto these far superior foods she lost weight, became much healthier and energetic, and more affectionate. She gets Applaws as she loves it, but mostly various brands of high meat, high quality complete food from an internet supplier.

Having reached that sad stage where I am moving towards the end days, with a beloved, ailing, elderly cat, part of 'palliative care' for sure involves trying every trick in the book to get reasonable quantities of food eaten. The boy, originally a completely unfussy, voraciously hungry, half starved rescue kitten who would have eaten anything that reasonably resembled any kind of food fit for any kind of creature, has, over the years, developed fussier, more gourmet tastes. Essentially - it is new, I haven't had THAT before. So I have a cupboard full of all kinds of flavours and makes (of course, the more expensive are the ones which gain approval)I tried one sachet of this (or, he did) from a shop, and I have to say it was greeted with far more eagerness than anything else - and that includes home cooked chicken and fish, specifically prepared (as I am vegetarian) for the boy.Pack promptly ordered. Yes, this stuff is expensive, but is clearly a pleasure deserved.

High quality cat food! If you are looking to treat your cat to high quality ingredients this is the best way to do it! I’ve given the flavour 5 stars, but to be honest, I’m just guessing because I’ve not tried it personally. The cat seems to like it though, and given that it’s literally the only wet food she’ll eat, it must be good. It’s got good ingredients and is literally just tuna with a small amount of white rice in it, so none of that awful filler junk that so many pet foods have.My kitty’s fur is super soft and healthy, and gets lots of compliments from the vet during her annual check-ups, and I think it is due to the natural ingredients that this brand uses. Alongside this wet food, she gets the Applaws biscuits, and I do believe they’re the very healthiest products available for cats on the market.Given the above,I’m pleased with the price point too. There are much more expensive products available that are just junk food with rubbish filler and low meat content.

I am very pleased with Applaws products and so are my two six month old kittens. The food supplement is exactly 'what it says on the tin', with no additives, and it is good to know you are not feeding your pet something reconstituted from Heaven knows what. I have witheld one star because I find the boxes of twelve 70 gr tins very difficult to open and, once opened, the tins are packed so tightly that it is almost impossible to extricate one without the aid of a further implement. Similarly, the foil envelopes are so stiff that one has to cut the whole pack open with scissors in order to extract the food. All of this means that the two slavering beasts at one's heels have to wait to be fed longer than they would like. Not good for owner/pet relations.

My rescue cat had/has stomach motility issues resulting in vomiting and had been prescribed the ZD tins by Battersea Dogs & Cats home. My home vet and I have been experimenting with various other premium pure meat foods and every now and again I give her a pouch of this and she loves it. I'm told the pumpkin is good for digestion so we stick to the chicken and pumpkin. Lovely to be able to vary her diet now and again and as long as a I keep it to small portions - a little and often - it stays down and the bowl is licked clean. A happy cat. NB: be aware that this is a complimentary cat food - NOT a complete food, it is not ideal to feed this every day,I give complete most days and use this as a treat.

Best quality wet cat food you can buy. Almost all wet cat food product sold in supermarkets is just a mash of 4% meat or fish parts, ash, and all sorts of garbage - some of which have highly addictive properties in them. The reason the adverts state 'Cats love... x brand' is because of these additives. Feed your cats a natural product like Applaws or just put them on a raw food diet - give them chicken, turkey mince, prawns, etc as you'd eat yourself and they'd reasonably have access to in the wild. If you don't, you might end up paying for it with vet bills caused in large part by unhealthy cats. Same as humans - eat bad food, become unwell - to varying degrees.

I bought a pouch of this at a local store as a treat for my finicky cat, also I had just had a wee kitten, well my older cat doesn't like it, and the kitten will only eat this, not anything else, and I've tried a lot of different kitten and cat foods for her, I went back to the local store to fit some and they only had 3 pouches, so I to buy off here, so she has expensive taste, but it's with it to see her munching it. I have to say I didn't spend a lot of time looking on here, this isn't the cheapest seller, an I've ordered more, but from a different seller as its half the price of this seller, so it's good, but it's expensive, take the time to look around

My cat loves this food and it was one of the better reviewed wet cat foods that wasn’tFull of crap and bad ingredients. This food is what I recommend everyone feed their cats if they opt for wet food. It doesn’t smell nasty or bad, just like fish. They’re easy to open, easy to store and I have zero complaints.Costs me about €1 a day to feed this to my cat, and he gets additional dry nuts for breakfast. Very cost efficient for what you get considering you can buy crap food at the supermarket for 85c.

Bought for very fussy Bengal cats who are prone to leaving anything they don't like or get bored of (which seems to be most mainstream cat food). However with this (and the chicken variety) they always clear their bowls, and seem very pleased and satiated afterwards. We feed one tin per cat per day, along with other wet food and constant dry food (which is usually ignored). whilst these are quite expensive, we view them as great value, as they are the one food the cats consistently enjoy

My cat loves it - like all the other Applaws stuff. Was feeding my cat Wainwrights from Pets At Home - but then notice that even it has filler. So, decided to look for a purer cat food with less filler and the Applaws range seems to fit the bill. The only minor thing is that some of the food gets stuck at the bottom of the pouch in the creases and seems a shame to waste it - so minor effort required to get it out. Otherwise all good.

It smells and looks very good and tasty but the packet is a nightmare! If you try to tear from the side (as with most other pouches) you will always get stopped abruptly at the other end and as a result get completely sprayed with smelly fish. wWhen you finally manage to open it there is a ridiculous pleat at the base which prevents you from getting quite a large portion of the food out. Great product -shame about the packaging!

I must have one of the fussiest cats in England and even she eats this with gusto. It's really lovely, with just nice, large chunks of fish that break down easily with a trusty cat fork. This is not a jelly food - it looks like tinned tuna.Granted it's not exactly cheap but as I have spent hundreds of pounds on food that Miss Fussy won't eat, I would rather pay a bit more for food that leaves a clean plate every time.

My cats love this food, I have it on a subscription every month as it’s the only thing my Bengal will eat! She started to go off felix food and I tried various other brands and eventually I found she will only eat tuna! Talk about fussy!!So I tried to find alternatives in cat food as direct tuna is supposed to be not so great for everyday food.Gave her this and she’s never stopped wanting more!

My vet recommended this brand when I told him that I had put my cats on Encore. He said that both Encore and Applaws were very good quality and would not allow my cats to become overweight but still keep them satisfied. I compared the price and found the Applaws to be a little more expensive than the Encore, but I went ahead and bought some. It is good quality - just wish it was slightly cheaper.
