Having read on the ingredient list that it only contains chicken breast, rice , asparagus, pumpkin(vegetables vary, since there are quite a few different sorts) and water, I decided to buy it for Shakespeare (my cat).Opening it, I could see that it really just contains proper chicken breast fibers, ricegrains and whatever vegetables it states on the pouch, especially the asparagus one smells so delicious that I would be almost tempted to try it myself. And Shakespeare cannot get enough of it.I usually feed him dry food, but every Sunday I give him one of those or one of the fish ones, which are great as well.It might seem a bit on the expensive side, but my cat's health is well worth it,I do not eat rubbish, so why should I feed rubbish to my cat?5 stars for being healthy and making Shakespeare happy!!!

My cat loves this food. When I feed her the Chicken and Rice, she eats every bit of chicken and the stock, but she manages to leave every little grain of rice. She is an indoor cat, recently rescued and neutered and has been putting on weight. So I wanted to feed her quality food without the "various sugars" listed as additives in all the supermarket foods I looked at. However these are complementary foods as they don't contain taurine. So when feeding these I use a taurine supplement as she won't touch the dry food they are meant to be fed along side of.

Just like cats they prefer the more expensive food. I have to say that this product looks like proper chicken in a clear juice but I have to warn you that the odour is extremely strong upon opening. Having said that all three cats clear their dishes completely and leave me 3 clean bowls. Although its 30g less than most other brands I would sooner the cats eat all their meals rather than me have to throw some away which I have to do on the 100g pouches.Would highly recommend this to cat owners who's cats prefer chicken meals.

When our kitten 'Solo' first arrived last year, we started him on the kitten tins of applaws, at about 9 months we moved him on to the adult tins, he loved the chicken flavours not the fish. We then purchased some of the pouches. The texture of the chicken is different from the tins (not as wet) He loves the pouches more than the tins, we are sitting with 2 boxes of tins now. This is a great product, smells great. Expensive compared to whiskas / felix but well worth the extra. 3 pouches a day now. But he's worth it!!!!!

This looks like real food and is the sort of food I would like to feed my cat. You can see the pieces of meat and veg. It looks like a sandwich filler I might buy for myself. The cat though has other ideas. He does eat it but sometimes leaves some for later and needs encouraging at times whereas he will scoff other foods until his dish is empty. I will persevere (maybe its like getting a child to eat greens!) but I will only feed him with this once or twice a week as its not his favourite - hence the 4 stars.

The cats eat it - and that's about as glowing a review as you can get for cat food. From a human perspective - it's slides out of the pouch really easily and has big (identifiable) chunks of fish in it. But I can't be the only cat owner thinking that almost 90p a pouch is crazy when well-known branded, 'human' tuna in pre-drained cans, is £1 a go for 120g? Be that as it may, I'll keep the cats on this, while they deign to eat it.

My little girl wasn't keen on this food at all, even though you can clearly see it is a high quailty food, but she she wont eat it.So gave the pouches to my friend for her cat, and he loved all the flavours.I would much prefer my girl to eat a high quality commerical brand, but instead she insists only on eating gourmet perle, such a shame. The product is definately worth 5 stars, as Ed loved it and gave it two paws up.

My cats literally go crazy for this food! It looks good enough for a human to eat and is 100% natural. I highly reccomend this product. My cats coat has got softer and softer over the last few months and all we've done is switch from Iams to this food. Foil packets are sometimes a fiddle to get opened and occasionally its hard to get all the food out of the bottom of the packs.

One teeny grumble - the "black tiger prawns" stated on the box turned out to "pacific prawns" on the actual sachets, but neither puss nor self have serious issues about it, for the quality of this food more than makes up for human errors.A bit pricy as an everyday food, but this excellent product will be ordered again for frequent treats in the future.

The plate does not usually need washing after my meals - enough said. However, since I have to write 20 words, I'm not mad about pumpkin but that may just be me; sometimes the prawn is a little tough so I might leave the prawn bits if they haven't been cut up.It's a good plan to get the staff to order plenty in advance so you don't run out suddenly.

Very impressed - this is the most natural cat food I've found thus far. Sadly my cats are not all that keen on it. Sometimes they eat it, sometimes they don't (They are very fussy!!) However, for the fact that its pure meat and veg with little else, its a great option if your cats are used to this and you'd like them to have a cleaner and natural diet.

My poor cat is suffering from GI issues, and the vet recommended we find an alternative food that also gave her some moisture. I warned him that we had tried wet foods in the past, and she always turned her nose up. Not this time! She ate half a packet in a single sitting and licked the bowl clean. So happy to have found some wet food that she loves!!

I bought this on the recommendation of leading expert on cat virus and feline stomatitis because my cat had been very ill. It has really helped him recover - but seriously, as much as I love my cat there are starving kids in the world who will never eat as well as this. Conflicted, slightly guilty but sticking with it for the time being:/

Applaws is the only 'cat food' that my fussy little eater will touch. Why? Quite simply because it looks near enough like pure ingredients. I'm not exaggerating when I say this stuff actually looks and smells good enough for human consumption.Feed your beloved feline this and they will be healthier and love you that little bit more!

So far this is all being eaten up, although I tend to vary a bit and substitute another one. As it is only a complimentary food I only use one packet a day and give kibble and other cat food during the day. It is expensive compared with what you would pay in a supermarket but at least it all gets eaten and not put out for the birds.
