Not a lot to dislike here. AOC can generally be relied upon to produce a high quality PC monitor, and the snappily named G2590VXQ (simple nomenclature at its very finest) is no exception. Build quality for the asking price is solid, as is the styling. To be honest, I don't go a bundle for the red trim, but that's a matter of personal taste & I'm more interested in what it can do as a monitor than a piece of object d'art. And what it can do is excellent for the money. Resolution is good -yes, you can get higher, but you'll pay a lot more to do it, and this is more than acceptable for most multimedia uses. Refresh rate is also pretty good; again, not necessarily outstanding but in use it seems better than the bald figures suggest,implying a quality screen implementation. No real ghosting to speak of, contrast seems excellent, resolution of finer details (static or motion) impressive for the nominal setting / resolution. Viewing angle is quite wide too. The stand vibrates a little, but this seems to get damped out quite well so no real problems there. I'm not a gamer per se, but it seemed to do justice to those, a couple of films and general office-work also.I note some reviewers have found it slightly awkward to set up; I didn't have any issues myself, but it might be worth keeping in mind. I don't much care for the single control toggle / stick, but unless you're constantly changing settings, it's not too much of an issue, or wasn't for me. With VGA, HDMI and Display Port options, plus the usual 3.5mm audio jacks, it's flexible enough for most needs. Features are modest compared to pricier models; I doubt many people will care over-much. My modest Windows 10 system recognised it easily, setup was straightforward without any issues to speak of.Strongly recommended if you're in the market for a quality monitor of this size & in this price range.

The following review has been written by my son who has tested many multimedia displays in the past:The AOC G2590VXQ multimedia monitor is a fantastic display for all your gaming needs with a few minor setup issues. This product arrives with an installation disc that houses product information and drivers. If you’re using a Windows 10 device then your system will automatically install all necessary drivers, this may also be the case with older versions of Windows. The disc runs a Flash file which is supposed to access the product guide via PDF but this appeared to go missing after I tried accessing the guide a second time.Most displays are controlled by small buttons found below the device,but the AOC G2590VXQ has a single ‘toggle’ like button found behind the monitor. Like other reviewers, I found this button to be a strange form of control and I could see how this might be bothersome to gamers depending on their setup.Putting all troubles aside, AOC have developed a fantastic, budget friendly display with FreeSync technology. VGA, HDMI and Displayport inputs are supported which meant I could finally get rid of my HDMI to DP converter.The extremely thin bezel improved my gaming immersion as it feels that my health bar, maps and other gaming elements sit right at the very edge of my play space. The AOC G2590VXQ includes a number of gaming modes which change the lighting, saturation and contrast depending on which game genres you may be playing. This is an entirely optional feature and can be selected using the input behind the monitor.I highly recommend this monitor to anyone who isn’t ready to move to higher resolution displays and I feel that it is extremely cost effective for new gaming builds or upgrades.

As a brand I have come across AOC previously and they have been rock solid displays. Very well built monitor perfect for your gaming be it PC or console. 4 separate video input ports (VGA, D port, 2 x HDMI) means this is the one monitor you can use with all your devices. Full 1920 x 1080 resolution supported. A 24 inch screen without bezel) along with 74Hz refresh rate and fast 1ms response time means its great for any gaming. The monitor comes equipped with 2 x 2 watt does have built in speakers which are pretty decent, with HDMI cable you can get sound output without the need for additional speakers. Supplied with 1 x power cord, 1 x HDMI cable, 1 x D port cable, 2 x 3.5mm audio cables.Height of the monitor is fixed and cannot be raised or lowered, also the base does not swivel, this is not an issue for me however it is something to note. Power consumption during use is 24watts and 0.5W in standby. No controls conveniently located along the edges instead a control joystick is located at the rear of the panel, since my monitor is quite close to a wall its a bit of fiddly to locate it. This monitor looks great. I've been using it with my PS and find the colour and image look good as I play.It's very easy to set up straight out the box - there are very basic assembly image instructions on the box. Other than that, all user instructions are on a CD, which was slightly inconvenient.The settings can be adjusted via a button at the back of the monitor, which allows you to scroll through options, which again, I found slightly inconvenient and fiddly. I didn't find the adjusting the settings intuitive, but after playing around with them for a while, I figured out where everything was. Another thing that's fiddly is that the cables all plug into the back of the monitor and you can't see the actual ports.So this also requires getting used to where everything should go.Overall, those are minor things and I'm happy with the quality and display of the monitor itself. I'd definitely recommend it if you don't mind the idea of the other slightly fiddly/ annoying things mentioned!

I would presume you didn’t read the comments and have bought this monitor and then you’re in the same position I am in, having bought it.Some things I wish I knew:Setting up was easy enough but when inserting the power, to elaborate, teh slightest knock or jab there comes electricity buzzing from the socket where the plug falls slightly is a fault with this monitor- be very sure the 3-pin plug is the last thing you attach SECURELY.Then the joystick button is a pain in the *** finally I figured out how 2 turn on you flick it up.I’m one of those types of person will not let anyone touch it and gets upset when it sounds like sparks from power supply gets knocked,I wish I spent more money on a better monitor now.But I’m ok ;)Edit: I have since found out for myself that you have to push that power supply cable into the monitor HARD until it clicks but I did not know that I wish I did.

Being not too knowledgeable about monitors it's hard for me to pick out any faults other than those that would been glaring, and there's none of those.It's attractively designed with its almost bezel-free display and red lip and it's as easy to get going with as you'd expect. I'm a very casual gamer of the low-grahics sort so I wouldn't really notice a difference over the basic competition but I'm satisfied with the view - on PC and PS.Connectivity options are good and the price is reasonable. But as others say, don't bother with the CD manual, just get used to manual control.

Set up is easy. The stand just clips in to the back of the screen and then slots on to the base. There are some cables, HDMI to HDMI, one I don't recognise, a mains cable. Hang on a moment, there is no instruction manual. Well there is but it's on a CD Rom. Luckily for me I have brother-in-laws that are whizzes at set ups.So set is complete, not by me.The picture is wonderful. And at the end of the day that is all that matters. The sound is ok. I use a HiFi for relaying the sound.

After configuring the settings to get the right display picture the monitor looks sharp and the difference from, 75hz to 144hz is very noticeable and a welcome upgrade. The only issue is the start up time; Running a SSD sometimes my computer will start up fresh before the monitor when its in sleep mode.

I like the design and how it looks, great for gaming but also good for using as a tv screen. The sound quality isn’t the best but I use headphones or speakers so I can’t complain as it’s cheap and very good, the only downside is the sound isn’t too good but everything else about it is great

Don't know why this monitor hasn't sold more on Amazon.It received mediocre reviews online also but,it does exactly what it's supposed to.Tha monitor also works with Xbox Ones update to allow 120hz refresh rates for monitors. It's all good!

The product is of good quality.It has additional feature like dual speaker with decent quality.Viewing screen from aside blackout the view.Try to avoid this product if you find IPS panel monitor with speakers.

as the title states:) I have a 3 monitor setup other 2 are 60hz, just moving windows around the screem show the difference in smoothness, all all 1ms, Love the color options, just amazed for a £92 monitor

It is a good product and decent quality with the reasonable pricing. But if you are buying this as a secondary monitor, you might need to compare the factory display brightness, colour coverage and etc.

Great monitor for the price definitely worth the purchase if your looking for a cheaper monitor since this one give you value for your buck. Works prefectly with consoles and any dvd players.

144hz, amazing quality, good money value. Loved it so much, I had to get another! The thin bezel has made it super easy to line up my monitors, an amazing monitor for a multi monitor setup.
