The Aoc- Q3277PQU is a 32 inch monitor with a resolution of up to 2560*1440. The monitor has multiple inputs, including, display port, MHL-HDMI, DVI, and VGA socket; The VGA socket has a maximum resolution of 1920*1080. Other sockets include USB three, audio in and headphone out. There is also a three pin mains connector for the on board Power Supply. The overall size of the monitor is 74 * 44 cm (not including the stand), the display area is 71 * 40 cm. The supplied stand can raise and lower the monitor from 6 cm to 20 centimeters above the desk. This measurement is taken from the desk to the bottom of the monitor. When the supplied stand is placed hard against the wall. The monitor face will be a minimum of 19 cm from the wall. My recommended viewing distance from the screen to ones eye would be a minimum of 80 cmThe monitor is supplied well packaged and protected by polystyrene blocks; these polystyrene blocks cover the entire front and rear of the monitor. Also supplied with the monitor is a mains lead with a 13 amp plug. Four video cables, one for every input, and audio cable and the stand. There are no instructions on how to remove and set up a monitor and the only instructions on how to use the monitor are on a CD.First impressions:Disappointment at having no help on the best way to remove the monitor from its box. It took me 15 minutes to get the box and the monitor to part as the stand was catching in the box. (To remove the monitor from its box do not lift; lay the box on its side and slide it out. Leads and accessories towards the bottom)Once the monitor was connected up to the computer via a DVI cable the monitor started up in 1920*1080 resolution. This was expected as the on board graphics card in my computer did not support dual link DVI. As soon as the monitor started up even in low resolution I was amazed at the quality of the picture. I spent the first 30 minutes looking on the Internet at various birds and animals. It was like having the animal in front of you.I then made the mistake of going into windows to see what other resolutions were available for the monitor. As soon as I altered the resolution the monitor assumed I was now using a dual link DVI connector and graphics card and would no longer display a stable picture. With a new £45 graphics card in place the monitor performed flawlessly, and now displayed the maximum resolution of 2560*1440. The monitor displayed every resolution that I threw at it whether this was from the motherboard set up, installing and using XP, window seven, or windows eight. A word of warning for XP users, many of the system menus do not take kindly to the high resolution, and the text is very small typically two millimetres high on this monitor. In windows seven and eight you can enlarge all of the text, not so in XP. Linux mint worked without problems. The monitor on board menu systems is well laid out; but the buttons that control them are not, they are too small and too close together. You constantly find you are turning the monitor on and off when you're trying to find the menu button. The problem is made worse because if you don't operate a button within 10 seconds the entire menu disappears. So your first job is to alter this setting to 2 minutes (menu; OSD setup; Timeout; Set120)The instructions that come on enclosed CD are a little disappointing; they assume you know what they're talking about! Example, what is the "DCC/CI" setting for?. The instructions tell you "turn on or off the DCC/CI support".In general the instructions cover most of what you're likely to require. And they do include Aoc pixel policy, and what Aoc classify as a faulty monitor. If my understanding of their wording is correct anything over one entire pixel or 5 sub pixels(r g b) is classed as a faulty monitor. I don't think you could ask for more there could you? Clearly that is not good enough for Aoc, as they are also giving a three year warranty on this monitor. This warranty is from the date of purchase and you will need a proof of purchase. Don't mistake this for amazons’ accidental damage that you can purchase with this monitor this guarantee is from Aoc.The CD supplied contains the operating instructions, drivers, and utilities. Every version of windows Xp,7,8..Linux loaded the monitor without additional drivers. The on board utilities I found absolutely no use whatsoever and they were removed. In use the monitor has no flicker and is easy on the eye. With a 24 inch monitor I was requiring a break every 55 minutes; with this monitor several hours in front of the screen are no trouble whatsoever. Using the monitor for cad 2d and 3d are a dream the whole drawing comes alive. For those who want a reference monitor there are inconsistencies in the screen, areas of the screen which are slightly darker or lighter than the average. These are very subtle and probably will not be noticed by the majority of users. For a sub £400 pound monitor In general picture quality is superb. The only problem I found is that I am constantly using the monitor with the brightness set to zero. In a small bedroom with a 20 watt Fluorescent tube, setting the monitor above zero is too bright. In daylight the monitor is fine. The on board sound is awful and sounds very similar to a BT phone on hands free.2017-08-14

This is an amazing deal plane and simple. With 1 day tracked shipping with Amazon logistics it came to about £285. That is amazing. If you look at other more "Well known" brands like LG or Samsung you are paying up to and well over £300.PositivesStunning 4K- The 4K on this monitor is outstanding and easily keeps up with £300+ monitors (I know I also have a Samsung LU28E590DS) Honestly I feel stupid for spending so much money on that monitor when I could of bought 2 of these and saved myself some money with no effect on quality.Colour- Once again the colour on this monitor is outstanding and once again keeps up with monitors out of its price range. Fantastic.Design- The monitor has a very nice sleek design (subject to opinion)the ports are easy to get to and well spaced out, and very easy to "plug and play"Comes with cables!!!- It was a great surprise when I opened the box and found complimentary cables. Many fail to do this, it comes with 1xHDMI cable 1xDP cable 1xVGA cableNegativesThere are a few little negatives with this monitor, like there is any product but they are quite small and I still stand by the 5 star ratingThe buttons- The control buttons are not very good. They are hard to get to and the feel cheep, however i doubt many will go back into the settings after setting it up when they first get it, and simply turning on and off is not hardFitting the stand- Fitting the stand was a challenge, and took me a while to get it right, however once it is on its stable and works well. Once again not many people are going to take the stand off after original purchase. Not fully metal stand- It would of been nice if the stand was fully metal. Unfortunately only the bottom is, however just from looking at it the top looks very very much like a brushed metal and could easily pass for it, however the plastic used is very good quality. I also think I should mention that this in my eyes is 100% forgivable seeing as this is a £275 4K monitor.OverallPut it this way, if anyone ever asked me on advice on buying a 4K monitor the AOC U2878VF would be my suggestion in a heart beat. It keeps up and even out preforms top end 4k monitors in some regards. As for the negatives the buttons and the stand fitting are really one time problems on first set up, and as for the quality of the stand I think its understandable that this price point. And I will stress, its not low quality, just not super high quality. Thanks for reading 5 STARS FROM ME.

GREAT MONITOR - Full Colours - vivid - great on PS4 and PC tho GTX970 wont power everything on full and 4k that is for the newer cards really its time to update, hoping when the ps4k comes out this will make a difference, The only problem I do forsee and this hasnt happened yet but all the outputs are on the back at 090 degrees to the body so they point straight out the back, its okay for a few months but in a years time I have had this problem where the hdmi plug pulls downward on the back and seperates the hdmi plug from the motherboard inside cus it hangs off. NOW IM NOT SAYING THIS WILL HAPPEN but I am saying IT MIGHT HAPPEN.A best way to avoid this tho is to get 90 degree turn hdmi plugsthat change the direct out the back toward the wall into a point up hdmi so it doesnt drag it down.Otherwise this is an awesome monitor, I didnt want a 43" 4k tv for gaming as I sit at the desk and this is perfect size for the job, if only I was rich enough to get three LOL, No Mans Sky Looks Really nice with all the colours and it does PIP (picture in picture).Loads of stuff to mess with in the menus, it isnt crappy heat sensor buttons its actual push buttons on the bottom.I found it really difficult to attach the bottom plate so it stood on my desk but I think this is from actual newness rather than a quality thing.Basically I have given this 4 stars because the only fault I can see is its outputs are directly out the back, I do not like this, on the side or at the bottom pointing down would be much better as wear and tear over time may hurt these.otherwise everyone should have one it should be the law....and at least one......two or three, six would be nice, but hey wouldnt we all like six monitors... and a couple of 1080 gtx cards.works great on my ps4 and pc, I could plug an android box into hdmi and have sound go thru my amp too if I so desired.First day unboxing everything seems great no problems works straight out of the box, comes with leads power , control port, hdmi, and vga leads.I am happy with it right now, but I will let you know how it fairs over time.

At around 200 GBP, this monitor is very good value for the specification (31.5 inch 2560 x 1440 IPS matt screen).I have bought two AOC Q3279VWFD8 monitors. Both were 'sold and fulfilled by Amazon'. When you are buying a monitor there is always the fear that you might receive a monitor that has one or more faulty pixels. When buying a monitor I prefer the 'sold and fulfilled by Amazon' option because I suspect it may be simpler to sort out any problem with faulty pixels directly with Amazon. As it turned out, neither monitor had any faulty pixels and neither had any other functional or cosmetic defects.FULL HD 1920 X 1080 is maybe fine for a smaller monitor but for a 32 inch monitor I think itis best to have the option of QUAD HD 2560 X 1440.HD READY 1080 x 720 = 777,666 pixelsFULL HD 1920 x 1080 = 2,073,600 pixelsQUAD HD 2560 x 1440 = 3,686,400 pixels4K 3840 x 2160 = 8,294,400 pixelsQUAD HD has 78% more pixels than FULL HD.I am not likely to have a laptop that is capable of running a 4K external monitor at 60Hz any time soon, and so I did not see any point in spending the extra money on a 4K monitor. The biggest limitation in the spec of this monitor for me is the fact that it is not VESA Mount compatible. To attach a VESA monitor arm, there is a rather overpriced third party option that involves removing the base plate of the stand and then bolting a VESA mount adapter plate to the stem of the monitor stand. The VESA monitor arm bracket is then bolted to this adapter plate. It is not ideal because it means you have the stem of the original monitor stand hanging down. However it means that you can use this option without making any DIY modifications to you monitor that would invalidate your warranty. I think there is a YouTube video about this option.Overall, I would highly recommend the 32 inch AOC Q3279VWFD8 monitor. Note that this monitor should not be confused with the 32 inch AOC Q3279VWF monitor, which is not IPS.

Aoc Q3277PQU is a very capable monitor that will be quite adequate for the gamer or the movie buff ,i was planning to buy a 4k monitor but because of the limitations of my Gpu i decided to upgrade from 1080p 2560p and so far i am impressed with the games look and feel in 2160pi tested the monitor on grade theft at 2560 and the game looked better and the lighting was improved especially the outdoor sun effects. The monitor is not a huge leap from 1080p but it is a improvement and modern games will benefit from the improved resolution .Aoc do have 4k monitor but at 28 inch i felt that it was not worth moving from 27 inc to 28 .The Aoc Q3277PQU is a well made and the stand is both strong and keepsthe monitor stable ,i was very pleased to find out the aoc has Pip which stands for [picture in picture] you can connect a console and play it in a box on the screen while surfing the net at the same time, good touch on aoc part. The monitor also has Dvi and Usb.3 ports on the right hand side which can be used for charging phones and tablets,i was very plaesd with the price that Amazon charged for this monitor and i have no plans to upgrade to 4k until one Gpu can power 4k in respectable Fps.The only con i have about the monitor is the button layout they are at the very botton of the unit on right hand side ,they should have put the buttons on the side, but all in all i am very pleased with my Aoc Q3277PQU and it wil be fine for my needs.Another useful tip in order to display 2k or 2560 you need to use the Dvi port ,2k cannot be displayed through hdmi.

This is an amazing quality monitor given its relatively low price. £200 for a 1440p 32" monitor is very low regardless of quality, but the AOC's display wouldn't have disappointed me if I'd paid considerably more. Yes, it helps that the size/resolution combination is about perfect for me, but the panel is bright, colourful, balanced and even, and as responsive as its specs allow. Contrast and brightness both seem better than the specification and there's relatively little light bleed. It also has Freesync (48-75Hz I think) and works fine for me with G-Sync as an uncertified Freesync display. There are considerable compromises to deliver this price, the main one being the stand. It's on a fixed base with only tilt adjustment, can't be removed from the stand and has no VESA mount. The base is however solid and stable. The design as a whole isn't as sleek as more expensive current monitors. The controls are fiddly, but acceptable once you're used to the order of the buttons - they are at least along the bottom and not down the side as my older monitors' were.Obviously this isn't a serious gamer's monitor - it's too big and too slow for that, but works well for my mix of casual gaming and productivity tools. As another review mentions, the settings out of the box give pretty poor colour and contrast but this is easily fixed. There is a thorough and fair review at pcmonitors.info, and I found their test settings suit my use well.Would I recommend it? Well, I plan to get another when I get round to rearranging my home office...

Solid construction with only irritation being the fitting of the base. At first I didn't realise that there is a lip on the foot and so the monitor was precarious. It was also very hard to fit into the slot. Once I discovered that, the screen was stable on the base and able to be tilted. Excellent luminance, and it worked pretty much out of the box, however the driver supplied on the CD didn't match the model number of the monitor. I contacted their tech support who told me if the monitor was working then it didn't need a special driver - and they agreed it was odd that the driver on their CD supplied didn't match the product. There is no paper manual supplied, and you have to hunt round quite a bit to find the PDF.Most of the documentation OK, except for the driver issue. The other issue is the display function buttons under the right hand side of the monitor, which are documented (sort of) in the manual. Their function isn't that clear from the nearly invisible function icons, and the behaviour is counterintuitive. Also the cable from the power supply is too short to allow you to leave it on the floor, so you risk damaging it if the ps drops to the floor by accident. The four connection protocols (VGA, Dual DVI, HDMI, DP1.4) all work perfectly and cables are supplied for all except the DVI. I am very happy with the performance and style of the monitor, but the setting up is unnecessarily complex.

Ive had this screen for 2 months now. Ill start with the negative side first, as they are fewer points.Black levels aren’t quite as good as more expensive QHD screens, but its very acceptableMine isnt 100 level, and looks like it needs twisting anti clockwise to be level with the base. The jury is out on the mirror finish baseThe menu buttons are tricky to use, and thank fully I dont have to press them any moreOK, on the plus side. It’s a beautiful picture. Crisp with good contrast levels, and a fairly even backlight in both black and full white conditions. The auto input switching is pretty reliable. I have both a MacBook Pro plugged in (via displayport) and a windows PC (via DVI-DL),and an xbox one S (via HDMI) it happily handles all 3 - but if I’m honest even though they are all operating at native 2560x1440 the PC looks sharper and more suited to that resolution.the screen seems good at auto switching to whichever I’m using at the time.Gaming is spot on, with no noticeable lag (to me). Though I’m sure a pro would scoff at the 60Hz refresh rate.Sound (ok. Let’s not talk about sound - get some speakers!)2560x1440 (or QHD or 1440p) and 32” screen space are made for each other. It’s the perfect balance of screen size, and resolution. There’s oodles of desktop space without it seeming too small to use.

Happy with monitor. I'm glad I didn't buy a 27" monitor. No dead pixels and the picture seems uniform. My previous monitor was a Dell 2407. I noticed straight away when browsing the web that scrolling/ghosting is hardly noticable compared to the Dell. The monitor packaging by AOC was very good. Every part of the monitor was covered in protection cellophane including the stand/mount which pealed off easily. I haven't tried the built in speakers since I have a av amp for that. The only downside I can think of and that seems common to a lot of monitors is the use of USB2. This comes with 2 usb2 and 2 usb3. Usb3 had been out for around 6 years. This has picture in picture,I would have liked some analogue inputs like composite and svhs. The only reason for that is for my outside cctv camera which I could do on the Dell. I bought this from Amazon last week as it was reduced to 329.00 which is about the price other stores are selling it for. Amazon had it priced too high for ages so I waited for it to come down in price. I'd rather buy from Amazon because if it develops a fault Amazon will sort it out immediately where as other retailers have you running through loop holes, testing etc and then telling you there is nothing wrong with it from past experiences. So all in all, a good purchase. 4K can wait for now.

what an amazing panel surrounded by whatever parts were lying around most likely. The panel is as described, 1440p, 31.5", IPS, 75hz, freesync (seems to work about 40-75 fps), vga, hdmi, dvi, display port for a wonderous £200, for all those features the next model around is about £300, so its crazy cheap for the specs, highly recommended if like me you are not bothered by the following points:no sound (who uses monitor speakers anyway)no usb ports (never use the ones on my previous monitor)no vesa mount or really any functional movement/adjustment (i rearranged the desk to suit the monitor)no solid/heavy duty structure (it is very light and I get the impression that hitting it with a paper towel might crack it,you can feel the screen moving just by lightly wiping dust away, so keep it somewhere safe)crap heat management (dead centre at the bottom of the panel gets very hot, there are vents either side seemingly doing nothing)bit of light bleed in bottom corners (i only noticed in very dark scenes though)31.5" is a weird size (but whatever it looks great)Lots of negatives but for this price they could have stuck it in a photo frame and I'd have still been happy, due to its lack of bulk you are going to want to check it thoroughly after delivery though

They didn't have this in stock when I looked at Amazon so I have made the purchase elsewhere. I'm highly impressed with the monitor so far but having jumped up from a 27" monitor to 32" its taking a while to get it set up the way I like it. Windows 10 Pro picked up the monitor straight away but there is also a DVD for other Windows operating systems drivers etc. I've set it up using a HDMI cable (supplied) and it works perfectly. The sound coming out of the speakers is also pretty good but won't ever replicate dedicated speakers. There were no dead or bright pixels on arrival and setting up appears to be very easy albeit I've only had time to adjust the brightness and some other tweaks such as when the monitor switches off.I need to play with this more as I actually don't understand what some of the settings do.It came with the brightness at 90% which was far too high for my liking and 65% is much better as far as I'm concerned. You will also probably want to adjust your browser zoom as well as the text can get a bit lost at the highest resolution. I won't go into much more as the monitor has been reviewed already but for the price it looks very good.

What can I say, I was initially dubious about this reading so many negative things about it on the web but equally reading so many good things, what was the truth? The truth probably comes down to taste – some folk just don’t like TN panels and some do. So what’s the issue? TN panels have a poor field of view, i.e. if looking at them from any other angle than straight on results in the image looking a bit off, things become washed out. However if you are sitting pretty much straight on then they are fine! Generally TN panels have a faster response time when comparing to IPS, unless you buy a really expensive one.Now that’s out the way all I can say is this one good monitor, just what you would expect from a 4K screen - razor sharp visuals and great colour reproduction thanks to its 10-bit panel. I really can’t fault it, some reviewers complained about the buttons under the screen but they are fine!I’ve also done light gaming with my XBOX controller plugged in and didn’t experience any input lag (this was over HDMI 2.0).If you’re an IPS lover then it’s maybe not for you, if you don’t mind TN panels then you’re going to love this!

Having bought 4 other, much more expensive, monitors, this was the first to not have any dead pixels or excessive bleed. It was an upgrade from an AOC i2352vh purchased in 2012; another budget IPS monitor by AOC.The Q3279VWFD8 was an upgrade through being 1440p, 75hz, with freesync. The upgrade in colour quality was astounding; it is a huge upgrade over slightly older, budget IPS monitors.Freesync works with gsync compatible mode, but did require some fiddling (which you can find how to do by googling). It's perfect in Pendulum. There seem to be some issues with smoothness in games when dropping below 55hz despite the listed freesync range being 48-75hz,but it hasn't been a major enough issue for me to investigate.Note that the vertical part of the stand is built into the monitor and can't be removed; only the base of the stand is separate. Also note there is not VESA mounting. It's a lot of screen for the money, with strong image quality and freesync that plays fairly nice with gsync compatible as a bonus.Purchased for £163, it's easy to recommend at the currently regular £193-ish price.

I bought two of these monitors after deliberating over it for weeks. I figured at the price they were going to be 'too good to be true' but wanted to risk it. I'm glad I did. The panel size is absolutely massive, the screen is nice and bright and my desktop looks wonderful on them. Windows 10 wanted to scale to 150% by default, but knock that back to 100% and they're perfect. I don't use them for gaming and I'm not sure they'd be that great for it, given the refresh rate, but I do use them for hours each day doing programming and Photoshop and have no complaints about the visuals. The only issue with them is the base. The panel is so heavy it makes the base really wobbly. The screens often wobble if I just knock my desk a little bit. There's no way to screw the base down, and you need a big desk too due to the depth of the base and size of the panel, but it all feels a little temperamental. Nothing bad has happened yet. I consider them fantastic value for money. But it wouldn't surprise me if one accidentally fell over one day. And I don't think it'd survive the fall for a second.

I upgraded from a 19" monitor and my first reaction was "Wow! This might be too big a screen!". First impressions aren't always right! Now, after several months, I am delighted I made the upgrade. Pictures, movies, documents, webpages are all much better viewing with this 31.5" screen. Well pleased!Delivery was quick and safely packaged. Installation was straightforward and the tilting arm allows for minor movement to position the screen as you would prefer. Clear and bright display with night-time 'dulling down' option during the hours you prefer. The overall 29" width is ideal for me ( slightly more than edge of shoulder-to-shoulder measurement),which gives a comfortable feeling of being "with" the screen rather than having to lean forward "into" the screen as I did with my previous 19" screen. I am just a basic browsing and spider solitaire game player but I am sure the quality of this monitor will please more ardent users! I definitely recommend this screen and found it to be very well priced against similar screens.
