I've brought the gamepad to use with my Android tablet as a portable gamepad and sized it so it would fit in the bag (it did). It not only met but exceeded my expectations. If you're looking for a small but complete gamepad, this will work well.Positive:+ Excellent and responsive buttons.+ General good design, materials feel good.+ Turbo function.+ Works well with Android.+ Works in Cemu as motion-source pad (use it in Switch mode).Debetable:= The R2/L2 buttons are going to be very unusual position and obviously made like this for the sake of compactness. It was strange at first but I actually gotten used to simply using different parts of my index finger.= The joysticks are small and not as precise or easy as a Xbox 360's,but that can be expected due to their small size.= Small. I have 9.5 sized hands and the controller can sometimes feel too compact (but again, what I'd expected). If you have large hands, this may be too small.= Rumble is barely a phone's level but what you'd expect from something this size.Bad:- Lack of real real on-off switch, with the start + button held down instead. While I have yet to encounter a situation where I would coincidentally turn it off in-game via start button, I don't understand why it couldn't have been a different button (such as the signal button that is otherwise unused or the home button) or better yet, a proper switch. I had it turn on by accident in my tablet-bag. I recommend getting a protective bag for it or plan for its storage accordingly.

I bought this controller after unsuccessful attempts at using a Dual Shock 4, and a Nintendo Switch Pro Controller with my Android Phone (They connect but the input lag and sensitivity was terrible!). I wanted a controller to use to play the PS2 Era GTA Games. As I mostly play on my breaks at work I wanted something small I could travel with, and I had heard good things about 8BitDo controllers. The controller comes in sturdy, if bland looking, packaging and includes the controller itself, a small instruction manual, and a USB-A to USB-C charging cable. The controller immediately feels sturdy in the hands, despite it's small size, and the buttons have a nice tactile response.The shoulder buttons are next to each other, rather than stacked, but you get used to it fairly quickly. In order to keep the size down the analog sticks are much smaller than normal too, but they are in proportion with the controller as a whole and have good sensitivity and no dead spots. The D-Pad feels excellent if you play a lot of retro games as well.I've had no issues connecting this with my Nokia 7 Plus, or my Nintendo Switch. The only downside I've had is that due to the controller being small, it does become a little uncomfortable to hold if you're playing for a long time. I would recommend as a travel controller, or as a back up controller for your switch if you're doing some couch co-op with friends.

This is a really nice quality controller. Everything feels well made and the buttons and D-pad are very nice to use. Even the analogue sticks work well, in spite of them being small.The only real issue I have with it is the size, as this does lead to a compromise on the shoulder button layout and potential for hand cramps on longer play sessions. I have chosen not to reduce the score for that reason though, as I feel that this is a necessary compromise in order to achieve the small form factor.If I were rating it as an all day use, primary controller, I would probably give it a 3 (your mileage may vary with hand size). But for an ultra compact travel controller or just something to mess around in retro games,where the D-pad is king, I cannot really fault it.

Really impressed with the quality of this little controller. I'm using it with an android tablet and also a raspberry pi 3 b+ to play some retro classic games on the TV and its perfect for the job. Small, light and lovely to hold. It doesn't sacrifice any functionality either. Setup was very simple. Although I did find the instructions on the back of the controller to be incorrect in my case. Instructions state to connect to android devices using the D input but for me it only connects to my android devices using the X input. To do that, just hold down "start" and "x" for a few seconds and then press the pair button.As long as your android device is searching for a Bluetooth device it should connect.

I love this controller, its exactly what I wanted! It's really comfortable to use, looks awesome, and is compact enough to fit in my switch travel case and plays perfectly with the games I own (mainly smash, valkyria, street fighter and the metal slug games) and it does feel a premium product.That being said, I have run into an issue where the left joystick often gets stuck in the down position which is a real pain when playing platformers or street fighter for example. Other than that a great product and I hope you don't run into the same issue I have, I would confidently rate this controller a 5 star if it weren't for this issue.

I have the sf30 pro and sn30pro which I use on my switch and actually prefer over the joycons. This is the reason I tried th n30 pro 2 it connected with no problem to my switch and worked perfectly with all the games I trued (here comes the but) the shoulder buttons were a little fiddly for me who was used to the sf30 and as it was only a few £ between the two pads opted to return and swop it for another I was used to. To be fare the pad was of extremely good build and all the functions and buttons were there and perform perfectly so I still give this pad a four star

8bitdo is currently the best choice for a bluetooth enabled gamepads. D-pads in those sweeties are nearly perfect. Bought two of them and they're working perfectly with an Android device (no vibrations though on emulators). Anyways, probably the only option for a best experience, lag free and comfortable playing all the retro games + PSP (emu). Go for it!

Standard control layout, easy to connect, easy to use and surprisingly comfortable. I expected it to not be very ergonomic since I bought it primarily for aesthetics. I was able to play for hours even though the control feels small. The joysticks are very good; they feel just like the GameCube controller's joystick.

Love 8bitdo controllers. And this one is big enough to be comfortable to use but small enough to fit in my switch case. I was worried that the configuration of the bumpers and triggers would be awkward (and maybe it would be for an FPS or something similar) but for the games I generally use it for it's fine.

Syncs to my Android phone ( Poco F1 and Oneplus3) really quickly, games auto recognise and I was off playing GTA Vice City, Minecraft with no settings to change. Also worked well with my switch but tbh prefer pro controller and the joycons work as a portable controller.

Bought this for Smash Bros, works like a dream. Easy to sync, easy to use. Feels a bit weird when playing full 3D platformers like Mario Odyssey, but I'd recommend a Pro COntrolelr for these anyway. For Smash it is perfect, and a much cheaper option than anythign else!

I was looking for a joypad for my switch and came across this one.I have to say well worth the money great little joypad feels good not uncomfortable to use and battery last good amount of game playing time.I would definitely recommend buying this.

Probably the best game controller on the market. Works amazingly with switch and and my laptop. Some seem to find it a bit too small but i have fairly large hands and it fits perfectly. Would 100% recommend

Amazing controller, works as described across all OS - (iOS, Switch, Android I have tried).Lights up, rumble, incredible d-pad, I use this over any controller I have, fantastic!

I love the brand and once again they've made and excellent product. Easy to install, smooth playing experience, soft buttons and a really nice design for the R / L triggers.
