A few reviewers before me have given this game a low rating because of things like poor character likeness, bad crowd animations etc., but it's what is going on on the snooker table that counts, and this is a game worthy of 5 stars. It's a very accurate simulation that can be as easy or as difficult as you want it to be. Personally I like the aiming aids switched on to make potting easier, leaving me to concentrate on the positional play, it makes you feel like you're 'up there' with the professionals.One thing about this game though that is really annoying, and made me give it only four stars, is that there is no option to save the game 'mid-match'. So if you're going for the full simulation and make it all the way to a final,

The last snooker game I played was on the PS2 so I've been looking forward to WSC Real for a while now.Despite the initial negative comments on the game from gamers and critics alike I decided to see for myself and I'm glad I did.It's easy to play and the table graphic's and ball physic's are very good.Yes,there is a few glitches here and there with the backgrounds but I bought the game for the table action and gameplay so the odd glitch doesn't bother me.The controls in Real mode are easy to use and with practice it wasn't long before I was making 70/80 plus breaks and winning matches.The lower ranked AI opponents are good but make mistakes too so your always in with a chance in the qualifying

I have to say some of the reviews for this game are overly harsh. Yes the game has a few bugs especially the online mode but I'm sure we'll see a fix from blade in the near future. A few reviews on here criticise the character models. I'll agree they're not to a FIFA standard but I'm pleased they've spent more time on the table and balls. Ive bought a snooker game to play snooker not look at ronnie's likeness. As for the sound I think the reviewers here haven't even bothered to look in the options menu where you customise ALL sound volumes and even how frequently the commentry is played. The ball sounds for me DO vary depending how hard you hit the cuebal with the cue and also into other balls.

I have played snooker before on PS1/2 and loved it the PS3 which i have just bought and first game was WSC 2009 snooker once you master the controls away you go,John virgo and parrot are the commentators Virgo does your head in with is stupid remarks, and don't always take their advice when playing a shot as things can go bad for you.You can opt to play short or long games, i play A match a day and have won one tournament and have had a 147 break against steve davis, not bad hey!You can also play pool which is also good except for 8 ball as they are different rules than I have ever played.Each time you win a match you get awarded points and they aid your way into becoming a better player.I

Not much of an improvement over previous games, still an enjoyable game overall, HOWEVER i do find it frustrating that when i try to get an online game, i can connect with no problem to the network and view various leaderboards but cannot get an online game of snooker. Everytime i set it to search for a ranked snooker game it allways comes back with the same reply, no rooms found.

I used to be a snooker player in my younger days so I really enjoy this game. I think this type of game will only be enjoyed by people 'in to' the sport as there's not really much to it, I am not sure it's much of an improvement from the 07 version and you've still got the annoying and insulting commentary from John has been Virgo.

just bought it on ps3 really good even better than wcs 07 hope u get it if u havn't make sure u do it's brilliant, with it on ps1 when u play it u have to watch all the com shots not on ps3 buy it so i can challenge u.

This is a good game if you like snooker. I got this game as I wanted a game that I could just relax with and not like the usual game that I get (FPS). The graphics are good.

i really like this game,the only problem with it is the online game.it always loses connection.i hope that will be sorted,apart from that its spot on.

bought as a fathers day present, i have played this title before and really enjoyed it. Came well packaged, the disc looks brand new.

The version that came out on the ps3 had more features which is why I am only giving this 4 stars

All in all this PS3 game is very good, and I would recommend it to anyone who likes a challenge

Thought the repeated commentary was a bit off putting but the game itself is very good

Bought this for the father in law, he is well happy with it. Great game for its time.
