Best buy ever. Fast and reliable as a western digital product should be. I highly recommend this product for storage or operating system purposes. Personally i have an ssd for operating system purposes and use this as a storage only but can easily be used for both.

I bought this to upgrade from 2tb hdd on my reolink NRV CCTV as it was listed as a surveillance hdd. It was a straight forward swap, just swap the connections switch on and format. It runs alot more quieter than the original hdd

Slightly nervous about buying component boxed versus retail boxed due to some reviews noting 'out of region' warranty issues. However just registered warranty and full 3 years given no problem. And £30 saved into the bargain.

Does what it says on the tin- use it in my ANNKE CCTV system (Max size the system will take) works perfectly well but a bit noisy ?Had it fitted now for 5 months without any problems but time will tell regarding longevity !

Use this drive for my CCTV system. Had it running a couple of months and so far it's doing the job well. But I've been around computers for over 40yrs and have had many, many HDs fail, so I won't be holding breath.

I bought to replace a noisy drive in my cctv dvr.The old drive made clicks every 30 seconds, but this is silent in comparison, if you are looking for a replacement drive buying this one is a sensible move.

I can now have about 4-5 months of recordings on 5 cameras around my home thanks to this secondary WD purple.Designed for CCTV as it has many more writes than reads, this is the ideal HDD for an NVR.

Bought this for 24 hr cctv use. Wd drive usually good. Packaging was poor rested on paper top and bottom... not a reliable way to aend Amazon so a bit if staff awareness may help to avoid doa

Great design be at a very good price, if your looking for a drive for a 24/7 system like cctv or server this is the drive to get. Not sure if you need this for a desktop but can’t see why not

Bought for CCTV as not accompanied with a recent purchase.excellent works perfectly.easy install instructions. Order to delivery perfect.deliveredy 5 days arrived in 2.packaging great

Works well but as far as longevity who knows? installed into the DVR and it formatted and worked straight away. Checked the recordings and they were all good.

Brilliant price for a 4TB drive with quick delivery. Installed easily in my NVR and no issues, been running 24/7 since September and everything is fine.

Great little hard drive,4tb to replace an existing drive that had failed.easy to install and set up and now I’m back up and recording my cctv again

Seems great. Use it for my cctv system. Had to buy an enclosure for it for an extra 20 quid but knew that before purchase. Was just plug and play

I am using the HDD for CCTV system and it is performing excellently. It is very quite, fast and so far has great performance.
