Until the Solid State Drives (SSD) reach a decent price-per-Gigabyte. Normal consumers will have to stick to the HDD. and what brand gives you good performance for low prices better than Western Digital ? I've been using This brand for about 6 years now, And They have been giving me more than enough performance. I bought this one Because I needed massive storage with high speeds at a low price, With a very good RPM count and a more than decent Cache size (for an HDD with that price and size) This HDD is a catch. You want anything that gives you a better noticeable performance you'll have to rob a bank and get your self 5 or more SSDs or a Velociraptor

Bought this to upgrade an old Dell computer with very small HDD so my grandson can use it for his homework. It was, as near as possible, a direct replacement, except for the capacity, for the original HDD and did not dissapoint. Very reasonably priced and has resurrected an old almost redundant computer.

I had to replace the hdd in my pc, purchased this identical drive and its now up and running. It was very well packaged and simple to install, my pc is now up and running again, I think this is an exellent product and i am very happy with it

Can't fault the product if your like me and want something that just works and express speed is not that important then this is ideal, who cares if it's a mili second faster or slower

Bought this in 2010. Three years later still works fine. Does exactly what it should. I have a power monitor attached to my system, and when it's not in active use it powers down!

Swapped out for an existing drive that had failed. No issues with this new device. Installed instantly and re-imaged it for the original PC with dual partitions. Fast and quiet.

Arrived today.packaging excellent.havent tried it out yet.if it isnt quiet when fitted it matters not.its for a DVR for my security camera.as long as it works im happy.

I received this product after only 2 days, when it was meant to be 3-12. I am yet to recieve all my other parts so not sure about the performance side of it
