I have built many machines over the years and always use Western Digital hard disks. I usually fit blue range disks as I was a little nervous about the 7200 spin speed of the black drives being noisy, and I assumed the increase in speed would not be worth the extra money. I was so wrong! the disks are awesome, the increase in speed is dramatic, and until they sort the memory issues for SSD's I will be using these from now on. If anything they make less noise than the blue drives. Now the price difference has reduced, The Black drives are much better value for the money

Really happy with this item, I am running the o/s on it and I noticed a considerable performance increase compared to my old Toshiba drive. Takes about 30-40 seconds to be up and running and on the desktop. When under high load, the disk is a bit louder than my old Toshiba as others have reported, but not loud enough to be annoying. I hope I don't have to take them up on the 5 year warranty.Just want to add that you can see lots more reviews for this drive on Google Reviews & Amazon! Just search the MPN:WD5003AZEX

This device has that much sought after quality - it "just works". Perhaps this is just the state of modern PC equipment but all I had to do was plug it in and there was nothing else to do. (Unless you count installing the operating system.)It does not make an excessive noise. It does not get hot and is not causing any delays.

I could not get an operating system to work on a 1.5tb drive that came with a recently purchased pc and so I thought I would try another drive. This done the job perfectly. It runs the operatng system and everything else thrown at it very efficiently and I would certainly buy another from this seller.

I bought this to replace a WD Green HD that had crashed. I am somewhat unhappy with the Green Series, as apparently are many other people. The Blue & Black Series have never given me problems. This is working well & is very quiet in operation. All in all just works as it should.

I have used Western digitals for a couple of years now ,a pair of Caviar Green 1 tb plus a 40 gig and must say the are brilliant as is this new drive. its a fast drive ,its upto the new sata 3 level with 6gbps so it like lightening writing things 7200 rpm spin speed

this is an excellent piece of equipment. I used this for my Drobo's. The best in the market is the black Black caveat, Western Digital hard drive.I bought three of these from the seller and he has served me very well. I recommend with no hesitation.

1TB Western Digital Enterprise Hard Drive, 4 Year Warranty proves that Western Digital make these drives to last. Performance is as expected and hopefully it will outlast it's warranty by a few years.

speed reliable very quiet have 2 other wd drives in my computer does it all nothing not to like back up is 1st clss help is always there my other computer has wd drive as well
