I bought this for my partner as he loves cooking but the preparation part always takes so long and I hoped that this device might save him some time. He was very pleased with it but after using it a few times it became clear that it was not without its problems.Firstly, as with most kitchen gadgets, the time saved by using it is pretty much cancelled out by the time it takes to clean. Unless it is washed (or at least rinsed) immediately after use, the little bits of mushroom that stick to the blades dry up on them, and getting them off again can be a nightmare because of how close together the blades are. Without a dishwasher or a partner who cleans up as he goes,

You may well think this is just another kitchen gadget, that you don't need - and you are probably right. However, if like me you enjoy a well made gadget, that actually does what it is meant to do, then this is the mushroom slicer for you! It is well made and actually works as described.

Love this little gadget! For quickly slicing mushrooms, specially if you have a lot to slice (like for mushroom soup) the only thing you have to do when the mushrooms are to big, to cut them in half first to fit the opening of slicer! Easy to clean!
