Why I have never bought one of these before I can't answer, in the old days we never thought twice about kids sitting in the car with no rear belts or proper car seats, how many of us travelled with 3 or 4 children wedged unrestrained in the back seat of the car?Nowadays such an action would be unthinkable never mind illegal; so why, when our dogs are often as special to us as our children, do we do not think to strap them in as a matter of course! Why is it not law?My dog Trixie is a cross collie and is 17 years old, she has always been my constant companion and travelled with me wherever I have gone.From being a pup she used to happily sit, unrestrained,

My dog thinks that car travel is one big adventure and really likes going places so getting something practical which would keep her safely in the back seat was the plan. My dog is a mutt and sizing comes in at say 'small lab' but in reading up I picked up that others had said that some harnesses come in smaller than expected. This is certainly a large size and there's lots of capacity for adjustment both around the dog and also for fitting the length of strap into the seatbelt. I wanted an option for nose out of window without her getting the idea that climbing out of the window was possible. Mad rabbit chaser dog. So we now can both enjoy the ride.I also got a back seat cover which hooks over the car front and back head rests.

I needed a car harness quickly for a rescue dog I was collecting and the ones I already had wouldn't fit - he's a little on the tubby side! I was extremely surprised at the quality for such a good price. The front strap is padded and both the neck and chest straps re easily adjusted. The lead fastening the harness to the seat belt attachment is also adjustable and can be left fastened onto the attachment in the car for convenience.The boy in question pulls a little on his lead - simply because he's not been exercised regularly and he was keen to be out and about. I actually used the harness to walk him the couple of times we stopped on the way home and will continue using it for a while for this purpose.

I aready have two of these harness's for my other two dogs and purchased this one for my new puppy who is rather large, although this is a harness for use in your car, I also perfer this harness for walking my dogs. I have found that harness's I have purchased meant for walking the dog are oft times not up to the job! In my experience as soon as the dog pulls backwards on the lead other designs of harness's are apt to come right off over the dogs head not a good thing in a built up area, providing this driving harness is properly fitted and is the correct size for your dog this does not happen.

Very pleased with the harness - strong, well made and fits comfortably. I bought a large one, its for a trailhound (similar size to a dalmation, dobermann) and it was a little on the large size for her, so maybe I could have got a smaller size, but it easily adjusted to comfortably fit her. She rides in the boot and so didn't need the harness to plug into the car seat belt socket, but you should be aware that it does not fit all car seat belt sockets (doesn't fit mine - Honda Jazz). I've attached it to a metal ring in the boot floor so she can't jump out before I'm ready.

Quite a brilliant seat belt for dogs, Nothing wrong with the quality and a great price!.The only thing stopping me from giving it five stars is that it is quite tricky putting it on a fidgety dog who is happy because he knows he is going out in the car!.Perhaps a redesign in the straps so they don't come out of the Padded cushion would be a good idea.But yes i would recommend it!, make sure you order the right size as i didn't notice until after i ordered the different sizes and i got lucky and ordered the right size for my Greyhound..phew !!!

I purchased this harness in a large size but wasn't sure if inwould be able to adjust it sufficiently to fit my 10 week old Golden Retriever puppy. It is fully adjustable & I have managed to tuck the excess harness away from chewy teeth. I would have given the harness a 5 but I found it difficult to work out how to fit it on a small dog. Some instructions would have been helpful. My puppy has now got used to wearing the harness & I find it easy to put in him even kn the car. I would recommend this product.

I started traveling by aircraft to the USA on business; my Guide Dog travels with me in the passenger cabin. It is the passengers responsibility to provide a securing harness, this is ideal. You cannot use the 'tang' on the end of the securing strap, rather use the adjustment loop to thread onto your lap strap. Do seriously consider your dog's size, I bought the medium and it is close to being out of adjustment but he is deceptively tall. Excellent product.

Having seen these on a TV programme i wanted to buy some to keep our dogs safe if ever there was a problem in the car,and it was always strange that we make sure we are safe but not the dogs.The service from start to finish was first class and the harness arrived in France where we live in 4 days,now that is what i call great service.The product is easy to use and at least now our 2 pets are safe and also cannot get into our way when driving.

I was unable to fit a grid in the back of my car,so this was the only other option to stop my big lab pup jumping into the front.It was the perfect solution.I keep it on the shortest setting as i had it on the medium length setting and he was still able to jump over seats,then get stuck.It must be comfortable as he looks forward to getting it on and now lies on his bed in the back of the car and knows not to try to jump around.

Initally a little tricky to work out how to put it on, had to work it out from the photograph!! Now its easy to do, my dog who has never worn a harness has taken to it well and can still sit up or lie down easily. Easy to attach to car seat belt connector - we bought it in conjunction with Heavy Duty Water Resistant Car Seat which has proven to work well together with holes for the seat belt. Good buy and value for money.

Brilliant product. My puppy loves being in the car now as he can see what's going on through the window. Also great that I can just pop his lead straight on him to get out of the car for a walk rather than having to swapping into a different harness. I've even bought extra seatbelt connectors for leaving in my friend's and my mum's cars so they can plug him in there to :-)Couldn't recommend this more highly it's fab!

Outstanding value for this harness. I have a large Golden Retriever pup that is growing fast, so opted for medium and I know I will get a fair few months out of this until I need to go large. These are so easy to put on and having the extra seat belt lead is so useful for in and out of the car. Brilliant price and it fits really snuggly and comfortable. No stress whatsoever at walkie time.

I have a small dog and she likes to just jump everywhere whilst I am driving which I found to be very dangerous so decided to order the car safety belt harness attachment.Now I am happy in the knowledge that she is safe and I can drive safely too without any distraction.She has taken to it nicely and just sits happily in her seat now.Thank you very much for a brilliant product.

I've been using a self made restraint for our dog, while he's in the back seat of the car, but at times he gets a bit tangled, so decided to try this Harness attachment, works a treat attached a body harness, it's adjustable so ideal for small or large dogs, and gives them freedom while making them safe and secure.As usual Canine Concepts delivered it very quickly.
