We were initially looking for a really good padded harness but the obvious one had design flaws apparently and the four clips looked as though they could open by accident. Came across this one and it's similar to our previous EzyDog harness which needs replacing because one of the clips has a piece broken and although it still clips shuts it's a little weaker - although fortunately it has double steel rings for connecting your lead so this acts as a backup.This harness only has one ring for your lead to connect to so there's no backup to the plastic clips should they break, however, there are two plastic clips (unlike our previous harness which only had one)so the load is spread and if one does break the harness will still stay on long enough for you to take action. Connecting your lead to one ring is easier as well and because it uses two clips it's also easier to put the harness on as you only need your dog to step into one loop and click and then you can just pull the other loop up. The previous harness involved our dog stepping into one loop, then stepping into the second loop without him stepping out of the first one! hahaSo all in all this is a nice, padded and easy to use hardness which I'm sure will last just as long as our previous one! :)

I was hesitant when purchasing this harness on two accounts, price and reviews regarding poor fitting.The harness is extremely well made. Stitching is strong and neat as well as being reflective at night. The padded front chest plate is pliable and also of good quality. The buckles are strong and appear durable. The lead ring is well attached and solid.Fitting: when ordering measure the dogs girth accurately and cross reference with the fitting chart. There is plenty of room for adjustment and this is where it is crucial. As per the instructions fit the harness around the dogs neck first. Then around the girth. Again as per instructions allow two fingers between the harness and the dogs body.I found that the harness does move from side to side but this is the most comfortable fit for the dog. It will take a couple of walks to get the adjustment right but once you are there its great.Generally this harness is perfect for lead walking and car travel. I am not keen on leaving it on the dog of the lead as it runs through undergrowth as I feel there is a danger of it getting caught up on the straps. The breast plate does seem to hold water but dries of quickly . All in all probably one of the best products available and it works!

Bought 2 of these, one for each of my dogs. Mainly bought because my retriever is a nightmare to walk due to being mainly walked off lead. When we found ourselves in a situation where off lead walking was a struggle due to location we decided to invest in harnesses. Already having the ezydog lead we decided to get matching harnesses. Since buying them they have been a God send. Now walking is enjoyable again rather than a chore.My retriever no longer pulls and I have full control (much to her disappointment) we went from being dragged out of the door by 2 dogs to being able to easily restrain and control 2 dogs and not worry about being pulled over.We have been using them for 2 months now and still think they are the best thing we have bought for our dogs. They are comfy in them and the seatbelt you get with them is also handy. Both my dogs enjoy swimming and the harnesses seem to be withstanding this. They do not smell too much afterwards. I have washed them a couple of times (once because one of the dogs was sick on hers and once because I was doing a doggy wash so everything went in) and had no issues with washing and drying them.I have recommended these to friends who have all fallen in love with it too.

I am extremely satisfied with this harness except for one reservation which I will mention later. The Ezydog Classic Chestplate Harness is superb with the large size being ideal for our Malamute and she is happy to wear it making no attempt to wriggle/back-out. Walking with this harness is a pleasure for us both and I observed an instant improvement in her handling and contentment over that of a traditional collar . . that alone deserves a 5 Star. We have mixed walks of fields with livestock in, country lanes with stiles, streams to cross and village roads and she stays controlled and close on a slack lead. Very Happy!! The luminous stitching is a nice touch for night walking but it gets lost in her fluff,but I also have an Ezydog lead which can be seen. My reservation is that, because of the fixed point attachment D-ring, the whole harness moves from side to side and as a consequence rubs of the hair of a long coat dog and cannot be eliminated by tightening the straps as that worsens the situation.When we've spent time in the Sea I will update regarding it's durability. An update on durability is that it seems to withstand constant exposure to sea water so far.

I own 4 French Bulldogs all of which are walked on an Ezydog harness with matching zero shock lead (blue, purple, red and brown). The harnesses come with a car seatbelt which can be used to secure your dog into the car's existing seatbelt. I find this fitting great as it is extremely robust (as are the harnesses if you have a heavy dog/a dog that likes to pull) should they be required to act in a car accident. I have also watched car crash test videos of this seatbelt in action and the findings show only a seatbelt of this type and quality will provide safety for your dog in a crash.As for the harnesses, I have all 4 of my French Bulldogs in a size medium as they weigh 9-12kg and there is still plenty of room for growth,even with my older dogs who are fully grown. I would highly recommend buying these harnesses as they aren't bulky on your dog (which is fantastic for brachysphallic breeds) but provide fantastic security, a perfect fit and peace of mind. One added bonus is they come in vivid colours which don't fade with age. I would highly recommend this brand and harness and this is the reason I always come back to Ezydog.

I have a English Springer Spaniel who is bigger than most, so getting the correct size harness can be awkward.I telephoned EzyDog( [...] )who explained exactly how to measure my dog for this particular product,Excelent service received.I purchased the harness and was very happy with the super fast standard free delivery.Now, the product itself appears well made, i have now been using my for a couple of months and am very happy withit, (so is the dog) It's increditbly simple to put on and has a couple of other nice finishing touches too, thestitching is done from a reflective material which works really well, even in sunlight it glows bright and reflective.The chestplate appears to be one flat piece,however as you dog wears it more often it contours to the shape of theirchest and becomes a comfortable bespoke fitting.Overall it's not glamoured up like some harness but it is comfortable, functional and smart.Well worth every penny, thank you EzyDog and thanks you Amazon.

I bought one of these in a very well know pet store and was advised that my jug puppy would need a medium which I purchased but found it to be too big. I ordered the small and I am very very happy with the fit. Unlike his other harness my dog doesn't complain while I am putting this on and is happy to lift his paw so I can fasten it up. It is easy to adjust and the chest plate sort of moulds itself to the shape of the dogs chest. It is very sturdily made with a very strong D ring to attach his leash to. It comes with a seatbelt strap which I have yet to use as he is still small enough to fit in his booster seat but I think it will work well when he is older.He has recently worn his harness on a few visits to the beach and even though it has been soaked through and covered in sand it dries quickly, the sand just brushes off and is still as good as new. On our late night walks, the reflective stitching is really bright when caught in headlights etc. Very happy with this product

I have been using the EZYDOG Harness since my dog was a pup. I find it very easy to put on and get off my dog. He is happy wearing it. As my dog loves the mud it ends up in the washing machine following most walks. Apart from slight fading it is still in great condition, my dog will soon be 4yrs old. The most amazing fact about this harness is it saved my dogs life. Whilst wearing his EZYDOG Harness and running along at speed, he encountered a branch that had snapped off a tree during a storm and embedded itself in the ground. My dog was catapulted into the air, head over tail. When I inspected him, expecting to find a large gash on his chest, there wasn't a mark on him.Fortunately the point of impact was the padded chest plate. This took the full force of the impact. My dog was shaken up and sore for a couple of days, but not even a bruise on his body. I wholly recommend this harness. Thank You EZYDOG

This XL version was bought as my Leonberger puppy has outgrown the size X, even though there is a good deal of adjustment with this harness. It is strongly made, without being heavy for the dog and he wears it quite happily. My neighbour has been the recipient of the previous harness and she has found it to be perfect for controlling her rather headstrong German Pointer - instead of pulling against the neck, as with a collar, the harness allows the lead to be fixed above the shoulder blades. This makes it much easier to pull upwards to restrict a dog's ability to suddenly lunge forwards. She did admit that a harness should have been used from a much earlier stage!It is easy to put on and take off,and to adjust for a growing dog. There is also the advantage that the dog cannot pull itself free from a harness.The EzyDog Classic Chestplate harness is good quality at a good price.

Excellent product, bought this for my most recent rescue dog, a little chihuahua that is fully grown and fits this size perfectly.This is the fourth ezy dog harness I have purchased, they are the best quality by far! They look just as good now as the day I bought them and that was almost three years ago.They wash up in washing machine lovely if ever they get muddy from walks, dry reasonably fast just left to air.I have different sizes and colours for each of my three dogs and would never contemplate changing them as they are kinder to the dogs. Two of my rescues have shown signs of laboured breathing on walks which was greatly reduced from switching from a collar to this harness.I like themso much that I bought one for my sons dog who is strong and full of life and it works a treat on him.Highly recommend

I’ve struggled to find a harness that is easy to put on, strong, stays looking good after many outings, and is adjustable to fit my dog who has I guess “a funny shaped body”I’m delighted to say that this harness has been a great find- strong and secure feeling, but not bulky so my dog can run free and easy up hills, in the river, all over the placeWorks well in the car, easy to fit a lead, simple designAlso being smaller than some of the more fashionable harnesses, it dries out quicker, and doesn’t rub my dog anywhereI have a Cockapoo who seems to not fit traditional bigger fashion harnesses- he’s got quite a long body, thick neck but small chest- so they usually gaped and flapped around when he runs.This harness seems to sit nice and close without being restrictive and tightRead full review...

I bought this harness for my border terrier to be used primarily as a car seatbelt. Meg is much less anxious in the car now as she doesn't slide around the seat, she will now lie down and relax and even sleep on longer journeys. The seatbelt attachment is short which is good as she can be contained on the passenger seat and not interfere with driving! I like that the seatbelt attachment can be removed so the harness can be used with a lead also, with many car harnesses the seatbelt attachments are not detachable. I found it easy to select the right size by looking at the size guide on the ezydog website. The only negative is that the harness swivels around and sometimes her elbow can slip out the side and she gets stuck.Otherwise it's a brilliant, well made harness.

Well our dog's never complained about it NOT being comfy lolBought this to replace our dog's identical size and style blue harness that had become quite tatty. He seems to like rubbing the side along walls etc. I do love these harnesses because the stitching on them is very visible when lights catch it in the dark and since our dog is totally black, anything that helps him be seen in the dark is useful.For size guidance, we have a slightly larger than normal black Mini Schnauzer but this medium size did also fit our late, (normal sized), Mini Schnauzer and there's plenty of room for larger dogs. The small is just a tad too small but there's plenty of room for adjustment in the medium to get larger.Medium size also fits another family member's Cockapoo too.

I got one of these for my staffie and it was so handy I got another for my Bichon. Her original car harness had to be pulled over her head and strapped both sides of her body and she's a wriggler. With this one she just lifts her paw and you can pull it up round and snap it into place. I got the bubblegum one for both girls and love it. Also love the way it's easy attached to the car seat belt. Hassle free. The company also deserve 5 stars for their service. My original harness never arrived and they sent me out a replacement which I received the very next day... Along with the original harness. Murphy's law! They sent me out a returns label and I was able to return it with no issues whatsoever.Recommend the harness and recommend the company too.

With a new dog who had no training and is under 1 year I had tried all collars and leads that would usually work but didnt so I thought maybe a harness and when I found the EzyDog harness I knew it would be great because I have had one of their leads for about 6 years and it has worn very well. My lively setter is not in total control any more, I am and he even sits and offers a paw to help put his harness on and is not at all bothered about it but he hated the halti collar. I would highly recommend this, the only thing I dont like is the little photo icon that makes the article seem it should only be used for a bulldog, mastiff or staff or such dog rather than a sweet pretty setter.Its not cheap but is very well made and will last.
