I have a yorkie who is constantly getting in a mess. Hes always down the garden in the hedge etc etc. He goes to the groomer on a regular basis to get cut but needs attention every week. I have lost the comb I used to use I think it's been thrown out in one of my cleaning splurges. You have to be gentle when combing such a long haired dog and never try and pull cobs through with a comb. It's for final finishing when all the tangles and cobs are out. The comb does a lovely job after all of the cobs have been teased out by one of those brushes you use to get tangles out of kids hair.

It is so useful to have both widely and narrowly spaced teeth on this comb. Suitable for use with my cat or dog for general grooming, removing loose hairs in coat to reduce moulting, and teasing out knots. The narrow side would help in removing cat fleas if present although the teeth are not as fine or narrowly spaced as on a dedicated flea comb. I like the natural wood handle but this should not be left in reach of an unsupervised dog who likes to chew.
