It's surpsingly warm for a rain coat. It feels lovely to wear. Usually I only wear padded coats but for the warmer weather I bought this for when it rains and I actually think I could wear it in colder weather with a jumper as it feels very secure from the outside temperatures.I am about a clothes size 8 (UK) and I bought an S for small thinking that would be my size and I didn't realise it equates to a size 10. But it's OK as although it is a little roomy and does not fit me tight, I figure that I can wear this with warm clothing and jumpers so it works out well.If you do want it to fit tight then get your usual size.

I'm a 12 on top and 14 on the bottom so i ordered a size L. Its roomy, big enough to wear a chunky jumper. Im 5ft and this coat goes to about an inch above my knees. I feel its quite generous in size. There are 4 big pockets, 2 zipped, 2 flaps with press studs. The sleeve lining is yellow. Hood is nice size which is adjustable. The hood folds away into the collar. Feels good quality, lightweight.Wore during 2 heavy days of rain. I wore cable knit cardi underneath, coat zipped up, 13° warm & alittle windy outside. Hood stayed up. Dry inside & out. Would prefer a peak on the hood to keep my face dry. Coat isn't breathable.

This is a well-made item, excellently finished. Unfortunately the sizing is not good; I`m an 18 but usually buy 20 for comfort. I would consider 18 - 20 to be Large, implying that XL would be 20 - 22 and XXL 22 - 24, which seems to be the case with most other manufacturers so I bought the XXL, with the intention of being able to wear it over heavy jumpers in the cold weather. However, I can barely do it up over a light-weight top and have to open the bottom half of the zip in order to sit down. What a shame; they have spoilt the ship for want of a ha`porth of tar! I would have returned it but have had to wear it a couple of times in recent bad weather as I had left my original waterproof at

A comfortable coat which is well fitting and the lower hem at the back is very flattering. I was hoping, because it has a cotton lining, it would stop me from sweating while out walking, but although on the first outing it did, on the second and subsequent outings I had to hang it up inside out to dry as the lining was decidedly damp. I took off one star for this reason. I like the two way zip so the coat can be loosened from the bottom whilst sitting, in a car for example. I bought the XXL which is a snug fit on me and I'm a size 18/20 high street. I don't wear thick layers underneath the coat as I don't feel the cold which is just as well because there's not a lot of spare room!

I love wearing this coat and always feel good in it. Bought size based on the reviews, these seem accurate and fits nice. Been out in the rain including messing with pushchair assembling and it kept me dry.Down side, although minor, the negatives were that there was some excess Velcro from where the shape had been cut, still attached to the coat. This was easily cut off however. Also there were holes in the pocket lining in both pockets on the right side, again easily fixable but shows floors in quality checks on the product.Main thing is I love it though and would definately recommend

Love this coat! It’s not warm but it doesn’t claim to be. You can add layers underneath if it’s chilly. I usually get hot and sweaty in waterproof coats but this one really is breathable. It’s fantastically waterproof and a great length. I’m 5’8” and it comes to mid-thigh on me. I have the gold and I would say it’s a more muted colour than it appears in the picture. It’s a lovely colour without being garish. Also means I’ll be easier to see in the dark! Much cheaper here than on the Trespass website £45 compared to £66). Thoroughly recommend.

Totally functional, good quality and very easy to throw on and forget about. I have long arms and wanted to cater for sweatshirts underneath so I got a large even though I am quite slim. I was delighted it was not a great big tent around my middle....quite smart in fact. Sometimes you just have to pay that extra for durability and quality. Fabulous pockets, great for 'slouching ' , with well made side zip pockets. The icing on the cake would have been an inside pocket , maybe Tresspass will take note !!

this looks like a very nice rain coat, but i am sending it back as the Clea Parka came first, and as this order was a week late I decided to keep the Clea Parka. This coat does not have the feature of longer at the back which i wanted, also the Clea has quilted lining which i think might be warmer, but Rainy Day Waterproof Jacket does have pretty striped lining which is nice. Very good fabric but do not like the colour, as I prefer white. would recommend

Firstly I like Trespass as a brandBought the L as I'm a 14/16 snug over the hips so I returned/replaced All went really well and the replacement is superbExcellent customer service and I'm delighted with the jacketAs the weather is now changing after the recent heat I'll soon find out how waterproof it is but I have no worries on that scoreThe only niggle I do have is the price change as the size goes up but that's life I suppose

Am loving this coat, bought just in time for the storms! Smart, slim fit, well made, with zip-up closure and clever front placket that stays firmly shut without any need for velcro. The hood is concealed in the collar, which means it can look smart. Good length as covers to just above knee. Nice stripy lining. Waterproof, windproof, breathable, and reduced in the sales. What's not to like?!

I’m really pleased with this waterproof jacket. It’s well made, stylish and comfortable to wear as well as providing good protection against the wind and rain. I usually wear 6/8 and the x small is a good fit even allowing for a fairly thick jumper or cardigan to be worn underneath in cooler weather. A happy customer. Great value for money.

Lovely rain jacket. It is fitted so has a bit of shape and a nice shade of red. The lining is a soft jersey material. I bought it for a rainy day rather than warmth, but it does keep wind out. On a cold day you would need something warm underneath as it's not padded. It's ideal for what I wanted. The hood tucks away neatly too.

Zip pockets to keep rain out ,nice fitting hood I read t he reviews which were a great help with choosing the right size I usually wear size 16and foundxxl right lovely coat wore it in heavy rain today love the stripey lining Sleeves a trifle long but l turned them up and revealed the contrast yellow lining looked great

Looks warm for a lightweight, longish jacket! Really like it but the fit on the hips was snug though mine are not wide. My bust is bigger! Perfect day for wearing it but hurt my leg! Wanted to try it out on our seafront walk!!! I like the yellow. Not as brazen as in the photograph. Bargain at 33.00 odd.,

Bought this in medium and large, kept the large so I can get a jumper underneath. I'm 5ft8 and the length is perfect both in the body and arms. Not too bulky but thick enough to keep you warm. The colour and lining are lovely and make it look quite smart. Large is a size 14 and would say a smaller 14.
